Staff was unbelievably welcoming and helpful. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was far more extensive and tasty than most other hotels in which I have stayed. I had booked this hotel on the internet - without knowing anything about it and it was a true find. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends without any hesitation!! |

The hotel is in a great location right next to the Central Bus Station. The only way the hotel could be considered value for money is if you wish to be close to the Bus Station. It is fairly run down, and a long hike into town. |

The Jerusalem Gold is not the Ritz. It is clean, reasonably comfortable and very very central - if it was any nearer the bus station it would be inside it! It is more suitable for people in Jerusalem for a mission wether that is touring ,visiting relatives etc rather than those who want to spend time in the hotel. Breakfast was a typical Israeli breakfast but the same every day! I would stay there again because it suits me! |

The staff were very friendly. However the hotel is quite run down. The breakfast wasn't great and I would have been very disappointed if we had paid the full listed price. We got a good deal through Booking.com. It is in serious need of a revamp. At breakfast the coffee pots each morning were filthy - covered in coffee stains, and the cutlery/glassware didn't look too clean either. |

We have stated there for 3 nights. The cleanness of the room was good, towels and linen have been changed every day, the hotel provides one-off soap, shampoo and a bottle of the water. The location is perfect for visiting other cities and Dead Sea, for example. Also you can reach the Old Town by bus (20 min) or by foot (approximately 50 min). The hotel is near is a building area, but it's quite at the 4th floor. The breakfast it's ok if you planned to stay in a hotel for 3-4 days, not too delicious, but nice and simple buffet. a little tip: there is a wonderful stall near the hotel placed at the central bus station building where you can taste squeezed orange juice :) |

The location is quite convenient for a city trip. The room was not very clean, the service staff room was next to our room and they made a lot of noise quite early in the morning. We travelled on aturday and due to the location of the hotel close to the religious quarter it was very difficult to drive to the hotel because of Shabbat driving restrictions. It should have been mentioned. |

Outrageous price for tiny room with zero amenities (no functional A/C, cigarette smoke in lobby, 2 thin towels, dingy room, high priced low-quality buffet with unsafe food handling practices, old beat-up furniture, ). Much better pricing for much higher quality and cleaner rooms were available in town i.e. Crown Plaza Jerusalem ($75/night cheaper and 100x better) |

Woman manager welcomed us like family and exchanged pleasantries whenever she saw us. Breakfast excellent. Stairwells clean and well-lit. Room features not maintained. Heat lamp in bathroom did not work. Had to call to request toilet paper roller. Room small and dark. Dining room staff not very friendly. Area immediately outside of hotel dirty, uninviting and difficult to find. |

Jerusalem Gold is a very comfortable place to stay because the staff, from the cleaning staff to the manager, Ariella, are all very helpful and welcoming. It is in a central location, right next to the central bus station. The hotel itself is a little dated, but the owner is working hard to make improvements. We enjoyed our stay! |

Friendly, efficient staff. When I requested a chnge of room, this was done efficiently and with grace. I liked that I was greeted every time I came in and out of the lobby by the reception staff and the security staff. The location is excellent, making moving around the city for someone without a car easy. I will definitely be back. Loved that the hotel is completely non smoking. I did not like the fact that there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. (One does not always want to get dressed and go to the lounge for a coffee.) Also the decor of the rooms and the dining area (basement) was a little dated and worn: could do with some refurbishment. The breakfast buffet is a little limited - a greater variety of fruit would be great. Also, there was not always enough rolls at breakfast (not everyone eats toast). |
