Jerusalem Gold Hotel

Huoneesta jäi nuhjuinen vaikutelma ja vuoteessa oli toivomisen varaa. Aamupäivällä huoneeseen tuli omilla avaimilla nuori mieshenkilö, joka sanoi tarkastavansa teknisiä asioita. Mielikuvaksi jäi, että huoneeseen tullaan noin vain omilla avaimilla. Jätti epäilyksen epäluotettavasta toiminnasta. Aamiainen oli runsas ja monipuolinen ja palvelu ystävällistä.

The hotel is in a great location right next to the Central Bus Station.

The only way the hotel could be considered value for money is if you wish to be close to the Bus Station. It is fairly run down, and a long hike into town.

The Hotel was quiet, clean, the service was excellent. The breakfast, that was included in the price was very good and plentyful.

The distance from the Old City.

We have stated there for 3 nights. The cleanness of the room was good, towels and linen have been changed every day, the hotel provides one-off soap, shampoo and a bottle of the water. The location is perfect for visiting other cities and Dead Sea, for example. Also you can reach the Old Town by bus (20 min) or by foot (approximately 50 min). The hotel is near is a building area, but it's quite at the 4th floor. The breakfast it's ok if you planned to stay in a hotel for 3-4 days, not too delicious, but nice and simple buffet. a little tip: there is a wonderful stall near the hotel placed at the central bus station building where you can taste squeezed orange juice :)

The meals are excellent and the rooms are clean and tidy.

I did not appreciate having to pay for internet usages-I that was in bad taste!!

The Hotel is very nice and clean.The personell at the reception, Nasser and Nurman, very kind.

I had to pay for the Internet connection while it was claimed to free.

Outrageous price for tiny room with zero amenities (no functional A/C, cigarette smoke in lobby, 2 thin towels, dingy room, high priced low-quality buffet with unsafe food handling practices, old beat-up furniture, ). Much better pricing for much higher quality and cleaner rooms were available in town i.e. Crown Plaza Jerusalem ($75/night cheaper and 100x better)

We were at room 1007,was small but re -done and very comfortable.Everybody was very helpful, we enjoyed our 2 nights there.

Jerusalem Gold is a very comfortable place to stay because the staff, from the cleaning staff to the manager, Ariella, are all very helpful and welcoming. It is in a central location, right next to the central bus station. The hotel itself is a little dated, but the owner is working hard to make improvements. We enjoyed our stay!

Availability and kindness of staff. Poor maintenance of the main door lock (almost open!!).

It was further away from the city center than I would have liked.

Two nights at The Jerusalem Gould Hotel in Jerusalem. This Hotel has not a four-star status, two plus is the more accurate and it has no swimming pool. Rooms are small, the double bed is narrow and the two mattresses glide from each other. We made a comment on that the air-condition was not working, the promised to fix it, but never did and in the 30 Celsius heat, we had to open the window out to the central bus station with all its traffic and noise . The TV was broken, no plug in the bathtub and room service did not put clean towels in the bathroom and only made the beds. You are not allowed to have a coffeemaker in your room, but you can bye coffee in the lobby for $2 a cup. The breakfast buffet is excellent and of a high quality. The Hotel is very hard to find and has a wrong address, its entrance is not at Yafo St. so we had to get a taxi to drive in front of us to lead us there! We came late in The Sabbath and we asked in the lobby what would an evening dinner cost! $ 32 each person was the answer, but at checking out, the tree cops of coffee two small glasses of wine, bottle of water and the dinner buffet for to came to nearly $ 150. But the staff is very friendly and kind so you have a tendency to forgive and to forget . Location is 3 km from The Old City to be accurate.
