Jerusalem Gold Hotel  

Os funcionários da recepção eram muito prestativos. Reservamos um quarto duplo superior e foi nos dado um upgrade para uma suite. A cama era muito confortável. Apesar de se situar ao lado da estação rodoviária, os quartos são silenciosos.

A distância a pé para a cidade velha é mais para 40 minutos andando do que para 20 minutos, conforme descrito no site.

Great location. Friendly helpful staff. Clean. Comfortable.

Buffet breakfast just okay but chef was restricted by Jewish Passover.

Adequate breakfast. Its vicinity to the BHU Conference Centre & Central Bus Station.

Service was questionable. Late check out rate doubled overnight. No jug,cups, milk/creamers, coffee or tea in room. Very slow to assist when required, e.g. a coffee still hadn't been made 4 hours after requested. Never experienced anything like it around the world. The pictures of the rooms on Booking.Com was not our experience. Owner was apologetic after 8 days. Sukkott is an expensive time in Jerusalem but this hotel wasn't value for what we paid. Rather run down but to their credit they had housed for 12 months the Jewish families evicted from Gaza a few years ago. Internet unreliable. Had to pay upfront (unusual, never been required to do this before anywhere. Guess after we had paid we couldn't afford to leave. Over-all very disappointing although breakfast more than adequate.Watch for certian members of staff contacting their friends e.g. taxi drivers & the cost, I suspect there were some backhand deals being done.

I came to have some short business meetings but the Wireless connection was not working and so I was forced to leave early and find another hotel where the wireless connection worked! I suggest the hotel gets its own connection and does not rely on a sub-contractor.

Location was ameniable to all kinds of transportation

the room decor was not pleasing. Wouldn't want to stay for anyi length of time.

Check in at 15 00, it is very unusually and not comfortable.

Service minded staff. Welcoming atmosphere. Clean.

Unreasonable charges for internet access, in today´s modern world internet should naturally be free of charge. Tea and coffee cheap and tasteless. Standard of breakfast rather poor.

Great hotel. About 20 minute walk from the centre so good to get some excercise as well.

The staff was nice. The hotel is close to the main buss station however far from the old city.

The food is very specific (salty fish in the morning) and does not meet european or international standards. The roooms especially furniture are not cleaned properly. Hope it will improve though probably there is no competition as there are many tourists forced to live in such conditions. For a short time you can survive. We stayed 8 nights and it became difficult.

Terrible expierence. We discovered a huge cockroache, and the airconditioning didn´t work. After mentioning it twice they simply sad that it was not summer yet and that therefore the airconditioning in the whole hotel didn´t work. It was half May (so hot enough) and we couldn´t sleep very well because of it... And when booking it clearly mentioned that this hotel should have airconditioning... Furthermore one of the hotel managers tried to scam us with hiring a taxi. So again because of several reasons a terrible experience, and please book another hotel to do yourself a favour.

Breakfast was good.

Everything was dirty: curtains, floor, towels, sheets, pillowcases, bath. The receptionist showed us 5 rooms but all of them were dirty. Disgusting!

This was the worst hotel that we have ever come across! We were greeted by the rudest front office man who was most unhelpful when we asked if we could check in earlier as we had been travelling all night. We then asked to speak to the manager who was even ruder! We finally got our room to discover the smallest room. Wanted to take a bath. No plug in the bath!! My husband went downstairs to tell them. Got told by one of the staff to just use something to plug it up! The manager rudely told us - " have we not heard there's a problem with water in Israel"? We then told them we are leaving and want our money back as we had paid for the entire stay of 5 days ahead of time which was not required. He fought with us on this and finally refunded us for 4 days. We ran for our lives! It's a disgrace and absolutely not a 4 star hotel as advertised by Booking.com! This should be a one star! Other guests were saying the same thing. We then checked into the Dan Jerusalem and had the most spectacular stay! Booking.Com should delist this hotel - it gives your company a bad name!
