Jerusalem Gold Hotel  

It was quiet, friendly and the meals were good and priced right. We stayed for a week and found the location good. The owner is hands on with guests and staff which made us feel at home. She was in her office every morning, ready to meet our needs or requests. Staff was helpful in arranging tours for us as well. We would recommend this hotel. You are near the city, but without all the city noise. Buses, a tram and shopping are all nearby. We loved Jerusalem and Jerusalem Gold. Suzanne and Paul Waters - California - USA

Good Location, just accross the Bus Station and Tram Stop. Acceptable Breakfast Clean rooms

From the 6 dyas that I stayed in the Hotel, during 3 days the internet did not work at all. On the other 3 days, worked in the lobby , but not in the rooms. This is a key issue if you need to use internet during your trip.

Breakfast was good.

Everything was dirty: curtains, floor, towels, sheets, pillowcases, bath. The receptionist showed us 5 rooms but all of them were dirty. Disgusting!

The closeness with the bus station, convenient when you travel between 2 places and stay at the hotel between or before and after.

The restaurant wasn't as good as others for the same price, and the room wasn't very attractive.

Location

There were the problems with the room (staff said that it was a flood). So for 1 knight I was sent to another hotel that was far away from center. But there were some hotels near this one. I think they just decided to earn on this situation. It was very uncomfortable and I didn't like it. I don't recommend this hotel.

I like so many things about Jerusalem gold,its expecially the services of most of the staffs.they were very friendly,very helpful.they give you 100% of there attention when u need them.the location of the hotel as well is very central to so many centers one may wish to visit.its indeed a place I will recomend for anyone visiting Jerusalem.

It was right next to the central bus station.

Very old hotel and not the frendliest staff.

Adequate breakfast. Its vicinity to the BHU Conference Centre & Central Bus Station.

Service was questionable. Late check out rate doubled overnight. No jug,cups, milk/creamers, coffee or tea in room. Very slow to assist when required, e.g. a coffee still hadn't been made 4 hours after requested. Never experienced anything like it around the world. The pictures of the rooms on Booking.Com was not our experience. Owner was apologetic after 8 days. Sukkott is an expensive time in Jerusalem but this hotel wasn't value for what we paid. Rather run down but to their credit they had housed for 12 months the Jewish families evicted from Gaza a few years ago. Internet unreliable. Had to pay upfront (unusual, never been required to do this before anywhere. Guess after we had paid we couldn't afford to leave. Over-all very disappointing although breakfast more than adequate.Watch for certian members of staff contacting their friends e.g. taxi drivers & the cost, I suspect there were some backhand deals being done.

It was a perfect location for a conference I was attending.

Convenient location, next to bus station.

Had an incident whilst staying there and the way it was handled by the night receptionist was definitely a first for me, this person spoilt our entire stay at the hotel, talk about lack of personality and professionalism, this hotel would be a teeny bit better without him. Rooms were not clean.

Located next to central bus station, shopping mall, restaurants and taxis. easy to travel to any location in Israel, the breakfast is great, the staff are friendly and would organise anything you want, the hotel is equivalent to 7 stars rating, clean, great value for money. I highly recommend it for leisure and business, enjoyed every minute of it.

Everything was excellent in a very busy historical city. I enjoyed so much I booked another two nights.

The location. The new tramway stops in front of the hotel. Located near the central buses station. Cheap hotel. Paid about £130 pounds for two rooms including breakfast and car park for a night. A local shopping centre is nearby with good prices.

I took tow adjoining rooms. Fairly comfortable but not very clean and not well kept. The towels were stained and changed on request. Also breakfast is quite poor compared to Israeli standards. This is a budget hotel for when you need to stay a couple of days in Jerusalem for cheap and don't intend to stay in your room during the day. Can also be noisy since the area is very busy.
