Pretty good. Easy distance to the old city - about 10 min walk. A market is not far, 15 min walk. A city train stop is also near the hostel. We lived in a room for 2, it was surprisingly clean. Breakfast is included (usually in hostels you have to bother about it yourself). The kitchen itself is a nice place for hanging out. At nights quite a lot of people gathered alltogether there and sang jewish songs. Amazing! The staff is very helpful, not only the receptionists, but the other people also and even more. There is a roof view point, a nice one. The hostel itself is very clean and beautiful. It's located in an old building, the ceiling are high, the stairs are broad :) Wi-fi is free all around the hostel. Easy to get to the office of the transfer company that brings you to Ben Gurion airport. All in all, a wonderful place to travel Jerusalem and to save money at the same time! 9 out of 10! Beakfast was poor - only tea/coffee, bread and spreads. Though it is a hostel, you cannot expect much from it. Check-in is strictly on 14:00, so you have to wait until this hour if come earlier. In the Sabbath there is no one at the reception until 7pm. People had to wait for the whole day to move in, they had to sleep in small chairs and just went mad. But this is Israel, you have to plan your trip!

simple but nice place and atmosphere no room to unpack, store one s luggage, no cupboards, drawers, hangers... when I spread out some things on the neighboring empty bed, I was told by staff to tidy up immediately, although we were only 2 in a room for 8.. a bit weird you could improve that

Free bread and jams allow to have almost normal breakfast. Our twin room would be large even for 4 people. The building is romantically old, staff is very helpful and friendlly, There're 2 free computers with access to Internet. Kitchen is dingy and overcrowded. Normal glasses are outnumbered, we were bound to use plastic ones for hot coffee.

The Jerusalem Hostel is good situated in West Jerusalem, 15 mins walking from Jaffa Gate and few minutes from bars and restaurants. Staff friendly and ready to solve any problem you might have. The hoStel is nothing more than an hostel. We stayed there just one night, and then we fortunately move to the Jerusalem Little HoTel, which is only 50m far. The room we had at the hoStel was terrible. Curtains dirty and full of mould, no control on the heating and the fan has been going the entire night making unbereable noises, the bathroom was like a camping bathroom (no shower curtains - everything gets flooded - no hot water and small sink). Room very small, no wardrobe, just one very old (and dirty) chair. Therefore, we asked to be moved to the Hotel nearby. We were lucky because the room they gave us had not being cleaned, therefore they changed it and we ended in a very nice room with two balconies, clean and lovely. Still very small though (no wardrobe or chairs), as well as the bathroom. But clean. No heating in the room, but a good functioning heater (although you have to turn it off when leaving the room or when sleeping because of fire hazards). No wi-fi in the rooms, but you can access it in the corridors. Breakfast (both in the hostel and hotel) is very basic, just coffee and some bread, but you can use the kitchen, buy yourself stuff and cook. Althought this means breakfast is not really included. All in all, if you find a good offer, and you are a very easy-going person, then the hostel might be for you. But if you want a cosy and little more comfortable place where to spend your holidays, choose the hotel instead. I cannot say if at full price hostel/hotel are a good-value for money. We booked very in advance and benefitted from a good price (for Jerusalem's prices). In any case, staff is very friendly and ready to help you anytime. Nice terrace in the hotel (in summer must be lovely). There is a terrace also in the hostel, but much more basic.

Perfect location and friendly staff, just only 10 minutes by walk to Old City and 15 minutes by walk (or 5 by train) to Central Bus Station. A lot of shops, cafes and bars around. 5 minutes to Yehuda Market (the best place for shopping - wine, fruits, local deliceous. Too noisy and the breakfast which was noted in our booking list - was not able in the fact (too small kitchen with many peoples all time, it was not possible to do anything not only for you also for children (a cup of tea - for example).

The location was good for seeing the sights. Double room had balcony. Bed was comfortable. The location! Street music blasted away til midnight. Earplugs essential. The sliding door to balcony wouldn't shut properly. The room and bathroom was very basic and stained. Included make it yourself breakfast which consisted of white bread and Nutella/jam in the grotty communal kitchen. Radiator and air-con was decorative only. Hot water only available til 11am then after 6 til 10pm.

Helpful staff and clean room. It was nice to have the kitchen available for residents. Easy distance to the Old City and the market. Our room was right over the square, which was very noisy on 2 of the 3 nights we were there. Great location to get around, but trade-off was lack of sleep as people partied below our window long into the night.

The big drawing card of the hotel is definitely its location. A few minutes' walk from the old city of Jerusalem, and in one of the liveliest spots in Jerusalem. Comfort and facilities are also pretty good quality. Difficult to answer this! We were really satisfied. In we really had to mention something, opening the reception a bit earlier in the morning would be a slight plus.

Central location, nice and helpful staff, clean dormitory rooms and bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen. Great value for the price. Although we had no problems, it would have been good, if there was a lockable storage in the dormitory room.

Good value for money, great location. Poor internet quality, wi-fi is only working in corridor and almost not working in the rooms. Hostel staff didn't show any interest to improve internet quality Also it's quite cold in the room in the winter season. Breakfast is only coffee, bread with butter and jam.

The room was quite spacious, excellent value for money. We loved the balcony and it was not noisy, even though we stayed on Thursday night. The shower is not really good, the water spills out all over the bathroom because there is not any barrier. Need to sweep it after each use. Breakfast consists of toasts, peanut butter, chocolate spread and marmelade - very basic.

Friendly staff and comfortable room. Breakfast was supplied but it consisted of sliced bread, butter, jam and Nutella, coffee/tea etc. Also all supplied as ingredients and DIY. Alright for anyone who wanted to buy in their breakfast and add it to the staples. It was provided from 8am, so not possible to have breakfast and get to sights with tight opening times (such as St James Cathedral).
