narrow dormitor beds. less area in dining hall/kitchen
I was not feeling comfortable to leave my valuables as there is not safety who is in and out to the beed rooms. Please make some lokers like those at swimmin pools . Very hard to get and queing up to charge mobiles and other devices as there are no enough electrical sockets. Lastly wifi is not working at bedroom please do make it to work and we can have some comfort rather than coming down to reception area . thanksb
Friendly staff , nice atmospher and meeting new people from different part of the world .
The good location, delicious breakfast, cozy lounge and friendly atmosphere in a hostel, all guests were very nice to each other; so felt like a part of a big family in a little house there. The staff members were also very nice and good people.
People may clean their dishes but don't really clean the table. It's always to yucky and sticky. I don't even want to sit down. I ate standing up. Wifi is hit and miss- a lot more misses during my stay. Room 3 female dorm bathroom has a terrible smell. Not sure if it's a sewer problem. The room is too small for the 8 beds. Very messy. Stuff everywhere. All I had was a small backpack like a school backpack and I didn't even have a place to put it. I had to keep it on my bed. Probably it was the worst living situation in a hostel I have ever stayed at.
Location, staff and the den
Everything is old, carpet is kinda gross. Bunk bed not so comfortable and room is too small for 8 beds. Things were clutter and messy. People on top bunks have no place to put their things. Female bathroom has a terrible constant smell (maybe something is wrong with the sewer)? Wifi is terrible, sometimes works sometimes out for hours. While den is nice, it's not open 24 hours, so people can go in there and work. Kitchen tables are always so dirty. One day, staff did not show up until 9am.
Great location! Nice staff. Very nice den with balcony. Accepts credit card.
location, staff and price excellennt
Great location, friendly staff.
"Jerusalem" was my base to explore the old city magnificence. I've got quiet and cosy double bed room for fair price in amazing location (only 10 minutes walk to the Western Wall). The staff is very kind and helpful too. Recommended!:)
The bed was narrow a little bit, without the guardrails
Very good location and nice staff
Top bunk bed was too narrow and no storage for reading glasses or phone
Breakfast and people
not manned24hrs ,breakfast started at 8am,one pathetic toaster, very small kitchen, nowhere for security.
Staff was unhelpful never there when needed could not answer questions warned you all the time with rule signs breakfast was poor unlike other hostels told you it was to Keep costs down other hostels gave better food and the price was lower I felt that they were not there to feed the guests why all the warning signs all over sold eggs to eat at a profit if a guest wanted one have white bread only for breakfast other have better quality food if you were you would asked to leave government regulations water shortage no such thing only 4 mininette allowed no such thing if people asked for things try did not supply them, reception was closed almost all Saterday not done by any other hostsl do not ring in anyone do what does a person do if they come on Saturday no other hostal does this chage code on the door regularly none other hostsl does this if you good is not labeled properly we will give it away I asked where is the local tourist office don't know left food on reception dest guests were told don't touch it only for the stall I could go I and on but I will leave it at that that. Ruth
The staff is amazing especially the girl at the front desk. I went to run on the marathon and got what i wanted, a cheap bed in a good place. If i need to go to Jerusalem alone again, i will visit the same place.
wi-fi didn't work well in the room, it was very slow. so you have to go down to reception for connecting wi-fi. There were few plug in the room, there aren't having plug for individually.
Staff was kind. Hostel atmosphere is very nice. I really like roof terrace. Location is good as well.
The beds are tiny , the bethrooms stinks
Jaffa Street is a main street so a noisy one... But not that bad really...
Good breakfasts, good wifi, good neighbours :) P.S. And don't miss the Tmol-Shilshom cafe that the receptionists recommend! It's a great place!
Very small rooms, no space for luggage at all. The hostel has very nice roof but there is nothing besides ashtrays and ropes for drying linens
This hostel has very good location. Jafa is a pleasant street for walking and there is a tram on it. Staff is nice.
We love the noise of the Jaffa street, but if you do not like, maybe is a bit noisy.
Excellent location, close to the Old City, Jehuda and the Jerusalem CBS. The staff is also excellent, Tslil (the manager) especially helpful and kind. The breakfast good and included in the price. The room was clean, and the beds are comfortable. We were three times in this Hostel. Not a Grand Hotel, (this is a Hostel), but we love this. The atmosphere is international, the wifi is good. Lion's Dan a good idea.If we go back to Jerusalem, we will stay here again.
The hostel is great value, has character, and is right by shops, restaurants and coffee shops. It's close to the tram and 10 mins walk from the Old City. It is on Zion Square where there is often live music and dancing.
I could hear alot of noise while sleeping
Basically no breakfast, poor shower, but considering the price and location all is ok.
I liked the location - not far from Jaffa Gate. It is important, as in Jerusalem you need to walk a lot.
