Small room but had everything needed. Perfect location, lots of resturants and bars around. Slightly noise if room towards the streets but if you pay more you get a better room. Good but simple breakfast.
The hotel needs refurbishing, old carpets etc
- good location - center of Jerusalem - easy walk (10 min) to the new or Jaffa gate - very nice and hopefull personal
- no Internet connexion in our room - very basic and old washroom - very poor breakfast
this place is great. I stayed in a large room (room 10) that had a balcony overlooking Zion square. Rooms are basic and a bit dated, but that's part of the atmosphere. If you face the street it can be very noisy, but it tended to quiet down at 23:00. Fortunately, all the buskers play good music! Location is stellar. I explored East, west, and old Jerusalem all over and never needed to take any public transport at all, this place is right in the middle of everything. Staff are excellent- friendly, knowledgeable and definitely interested in ensuring you have a pleasant stay in Jerusalem. I would come back here and stay in the same room, and take my wife this time!
Can't think of anything. For the great price and location, I'm happy with my experience.
noisy from outside
Location, internet and wi-fi, cleanliness, proper temperature in the room (heating system working)
Towels very old (torn)
We loved staying at the hostel. Staff is very kind and helpful. We liked our room with a balcony. Beds were comfortable. We could use kitchen and cook our own food and meet many new people over there, which was great.
If you like more quiet place, make sure to ask a receptionist your room to be located not facing the main Jaffa Road as it's very noisy there with a loud music. We didn't have problems, but some people did and couldn't sleep, because of the noise. Wi-Fi - strong connection only near reception area.
staff good，location good。
Location. The flowered balcony overlooking Zion Square & with its political history (1995 Netanyahu's anti Rabin speech)
Not enough room in the self service kitchen.
Great location! Helpful and friendly staff. Really enjoyed meeting many of the other guests; many interesting and outgoing people pass through.
1. No lockers! 2. WiFi extremely slow and unreliable. You get knocked offline every few minutes if too many guests are trying to use the WiFi. 3. Cramped rooms with no room for luggage. 4. Very low water pressure in the shower. 5. No hot water in the shower between the hours of 11:00 and 16:00, or something like that. 6. No large common areas, except on the roof. 7. Dingy, threadbare. I've moved to another hostel down the road that is superior in every way, for the same price.
Maybe, didn't see a recepcionist in the middle of the night if Someone needs something.
Location Charm Staff
Not clean, moldiness is masked by smell of cleaning products Old, threadbare curtains and bedding
Staff are very helpful, location is excellent...close to all the places i wanted to visit and the fellow travelers were wonderful people...felt like a family. The breakfast is good too...wish there were some fruits though !! (SMILE)
Since 2006, when i first stayed at the Hostel, the same carpet..??? and it is a hustle hauling the suitcases up the stairs and down...However...help from fellow guests was very welcome.
The location was excellent, at Zion Square, Jaffa Road. Very central, within walking distance to Old City, market, restaurants, etc., staff were very helpful and friendly
We stayed 14 days, room not cleaned, garbage not removed, had to request more toilet paper, no clean towels, communial kitchen very cramped, very noisy room with delivery trucks parked in street below balcony.
Free Wi-Fi, in the city center right by the light rail, and kitchen available to use.
Sometimes a bit too crowded trying to use the self-service kitchen during meal times. On one of the nights it was a bit too noisy on the street.
great localisation, WLAN, one of the girls there was really nice and kind. you can leave your luggage until you finally leave.
bathroom is very low quality. Breakfast is late and also very low quality. room was not really clean and actually little old. ventilation was not able to be turned off.
The location. we can walk to the old city within 10 mins. light rail is just in front of you. Staffs are nice and helpful.
The hostel is very old. need to be redecorated. old/dirty furniture and curtains. stains on bed sheets. rats in kitchen when we had breakfast in the very early morning.
Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful historic building
No lift, no air conditioning, very noisy location, very basic facilities for breakfast
+ location of hostel was just perfect - 10 min from the old city by foot + supermarket just around the corner as well as restaurants
- everything looks a bit run down - at our first night we were in the kitchen and discovered a mouse - we didn't try the breakfast because it was served in the kitchen which was and probably still is the home of the mouse as well as there's only one jam glass for everyone - the fridge looks gross inside
good location nice staff cheap place
old forniture not very clean small window in my room breakfast very basic and shared with other guests
The location is very good (Jaffa Road is very nice) and the old city is at a walking distance. The hostel is very basic but it is clean.
The room furniture was rather old and my room had only a very small window. Breakfast facilities were a little bit dirty due to the rude guests.
Very well situated, right in the city center and close to the Old City. Room big, clean, silent. Staff very nice and speaking good English.
It's too pricey for what you get. Everything is old and run down. The bathroom wasn't very clean, the bed not comfortable, etc. Luckily I only stayed one night.
Location Roof top terrace Staff was very friendly Balcony in the private rooms Breakfast simple but ok Free drinking water
Internet only works in lobby and hallway
Location easy access to train and bus links everything in walking distance place of culture
Having to come back home
dirty small (bath-)room stinks too noisy
