the bed for a couple was actually 2 twin beds pushed together- not very comfortable/accomodating

The staff was very friendly. Delicious fresh israeli breakfast buffet, great location close to the many bars and cafés and the old town. Clean and comfortable modern rooms. Thanks to Nerit, one of the receptionist who did everything she could to move us from our basic room (see - booked separately at low cost the day before as we were unable to amend our original booking) to a real standard room with balcony and a normal size bathroom.

I was insistently asked to pay upfront for our room at check-in. I dont know if it's a Jerusalem quirk or just this hotel... Some standard rooms are very basic (tiny and old bathroom, small dark windows), however I got that specific room for a discounted 1/2 price on our first night. I would not expect to pay full price for that room but it was allocated to us before our arrival (another quirk?) for our 2nd booking, which was a full rate booking this time...

Great location! 15 minutes to old city, 1 minute to Yaffo street

Incredibly noisy. Night yells in a cafe under the windows. From seven in the morning begins construction next door. But three minutes before Ben Yehuda Street and 10-15 minutes to the Jaffa Gate is a huge plus.

It is a nice hotel, just has no elevator. Not really a problem, just know you are going to have to drag all your luggage up stairs to your room.

Great location: next to the main pedestrian street of the new Jerusalem, restaurants, bars, bus stops and shops are less than 5 min walking. In 10 min or 2 tram stops you get to Jaffa Gate and the old city.

As far as the hotel is just over some bars/pubs, the noise and laud music all night long made our sleep impossible. Also during Friday evening, when the most are closed, the near pubs were playing disco music until 4am. When you are visiting the city walking all day long and in the evening you are looking only for a good rest, the last thing you want is not being able to close eyes because of the noise/music! Not always the staff has been friendly and helpful: it depends on the guy you meet as there are many working as receptionists and you may find someone who give you some good advice with difficulty. We advice to bring with you a copy of booking confirmation, as when we arrived we have been told there was no reservation by us. At the end, as it was a staff mistake, they arranged us a night in another hotel and tried to make the best for the inconvenient, but it cost us time and stress.

Near to old city to walk, and near to plenty of places to eat etc.

A (1)Being woken up early every morning by building site work. (2) being kept awake or woken by night club music sometimes still on at 3.30 am -called reception at least 5 nights and they got the police in twice - they came in my room to listen on one occasion. (3) building work on upgrading dining/brkfast rm from 7am also. (B) constant smell of sewerage from both rooms. (C) being disabled as mentioned in booking- i take equipment to give me some independence, duty manager not helpful in adjusting low bed etc (D) tour Desk? what tour desk! giving out a brouchure is not a tour desk. (E) most dis bedrms do not have thick carpets but pamment/parquet flooring- easier for pushing a wheel chair around room. *** marks for hotel 3/10 not value for money. stayed elsewhere in expensive areas and received better value.

+ Perfect location, 10 minutes walk from the Old City. + Many restaurants around (which however do not work on shabbat). + Good breakfast. + Friendly and helpfull staff.

-Very loud in the evening: several bars around stay up till 2 am. All others are minor compared to great location but still: - Rooms are not big. We stayed with a friend but room was so small that we couldn't put beds apart as it would be difficult to walk around. - After shower all floor is wet as there is no separation on the floor between shower and the rest of bathroom.

Very good location in terms of access to attractions: 15 min walk to old town, 10 min to market, 10 min and less to major shopping area. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Not very spacious but enough for sleep and resonably equiped (frige, tea-maker).

Again - location... 4(!) bars on a small street (200m). One of them was just beneath our room. Music and noise late at night were loud and permanent regardless sabbath or smth. We were deadly tired with day trips so slipped well )) But for those who senstive...

The room was very large and the bed was comfortable. The location is also fantastic - about 10 minutes walk from the old city.

The location is great! The hotel is located near the Old Jerusalem, just 5-7 minutes walk. Perfect for the city trips.

1) The first floor is extremly noisy due to the street bars downstairs. Bring the ear-plugs to be on safe side. 2) The breakfast is average. I was surpised that there were no fruits at all.

Great location near Jaffa Gate, in region full of bars and activities at night. Very comfortable place.

If you´re a light sleeper staying over the weekend, you may be annoyed by the street noise that goes on until very late at night.

The location is great and you get value for what you pay.

Deluxe room was excellent: nice and lovely furniture, a lot of space, staff in the evening dedicated and kind, excellent situation to enjoy both the visit of the old city (10 min walk) and the enternainments and delicious restaurants in the modern town center.

Avoid to take a standard room: they haven't been refreshed and are not very cosy nor beautiful.
