The Sephardic House is located near the Zion Gate at the entrance to the Jewish Quarter and is within walking distance from all major sights.
Score from 75 reviews Very good
This hotel is in central Zion Square, a 15-minute walk from the Old City and a few steps from the market and the Nahalat Shivah pedestrian promenade. Wi-Fi access is free in public areas.
Score from 567 reviews Good
Right next to the Ben Yehuda Pedestrian Mall in the very centre of Jerusalem, Alon Hotel offers air-conditioned studios with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen cable TVs.
Score from 313 reviews Good
In the center of Jerusalem, just a 5-minute walk from the Mahane Yehuda Market, the newly-opened Agripas Hotel has spacious rooms with hardwood floors and city views.
Score from 820 reviews Good
The hotel, the staff, the food were all very good, and as far as accommodation is concerned most satisfactory.
The area in which this hotel is located is ideal for Jerusalem site seeing etc, however sadly I felt a less friendly, more untidy, and somewhat insecure mood amongst the community in which it is located. This is indeed sad, because it is the actions and attitudes of a few in this part of the city, which have been intensified by very recent events, that are causing so much damage amongst those, (including the Metropole), who obviously, not only want to, but are very capable indeed of conducting an extremely good service.
NOTHING THAT I LIKE
Everything, I DON'T LIKE
Situated close to Herod's Gate (about a 2 minute walk) and not far from Damascus Gate and the Garden Tomb (both about a 6 minute walk away), the Metropole is ideally located for your trip to the Old City. Just outside the hotel is a lively neighborhood with plenty of food vendors, money changers and more. The hotel staff were very helpful. It was a delightful experience and we will be going back again.
Nothing we didn't like. Everything was to our satisfaction. We thought it was great.
Location Room size Wifi access
Carpets in rooms General state of hotel Breakfast poor Noisy family staying on premises
The staff, the location is near the Herod's gate, so close to the Old Jerusalem, close to the market.
Good breakfest, nice people
Bad is not good.
hotel staff is helpful, location is very close to old town (Herod's gate). rooms are clean, you get what what you can for the fair price
i would not recommend this hotel to girls traveling alone or in two - coming back home from the old city (even though it is very close) on a late evening is not a pleasant experience with Arab people whistling and yelling something at you on the streets. If you are a bigger group, there is no problem
Very convenient for access to Old City and for transport to Bethlehem and Jordanian border. Also not far from Light Rail into New City. Situated in busy street with plenty of shops and (mainly) fast food outlets. For a more conventional meal, try the City Cafe - a short walk in the direction of the Damascus Gate. It's better than its unpretentious appearance. Spacious, comfortable room with fridge and kettle etc., good breakfast, helpful staff. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Street could be a bit noisy but wasn't a problem for us. The restaurant seemed only to open for parties - something of a disappointment as it had good reviews and places nearby for a sit-down meal were not necessarily that common after 8 or 9 in the evening.
An ace location in the Arab district and close to the Garden Tomb. The staff couldn't be more helpful. I loved it.
Most of the staff were friendly
Sheets and pillow on bed were filthy, hadn't been changed from the previous guests!
Good location. Just near the Old City. Clean rooms. Delicious breakfasts.
Very poor Wi-Fi signal strength: you need to put your device on floor to get internet working. Sometimes (5 or more times a day) there is cigarette smell in apartments. There is loud prayer speech from Islamic mosque that hears 3 times a day at all Palestinian district.
Friendly staff, very close to the old city
The friendly service from Staff and a safe environment.
We would've appreciated if evening meal was explained as an option when making bookings.
breakfast, whole place is dirty, no star hotel.
The hotel is close to the old city. The room with courtyard view was quiet. The breakfast was copious, though sometimes they forget to serve juice or milk.
Wi-fi is available only in the lobby. When big groups stay in the hotel, it becomes very noisy. And the staff can't manage so many people at breakfast.
Location is superb, just a few steps from Herod's gate. Good money exchange nearby. The room with backside view was quiet, no noise from outside. Warm blankets helped to keep warm during cold winter period. The breakfast was good, bur sometimes they forgot to bring juice. Elevator is a plus.
Thin walls, gets very noisy when a big group arrives. No wi-fi in the room, only in the lobby. I'll definitely stay in this hotel again.
Great location: in the middle of the lively Arabic neighbourhood (shops are cheaper here than in West Jerusalem). Nice breakfast. Delicious welcome drink.
Even with the heater on, it stayed cold at night. The television might be flat, but there were only three channels working. The whole place is a bit old and could be cleaner.
Location. It's close to the Damascus Gate, to the bus station to go to Betlehem and relatively close (around 10 min walking) to tram stop which takes you to Jerusalem Central Bus Station so you are easily connected with the airport. Breakfast was excellent.
I found the price a bit high though I guess it was because the Christmas time. It is true that hotels around the area weren't cheaper for the services they offer.
Good place near the old city walls, in arabic district. Close to the bus station, so it's easy to get to the airport in Tel-Aviv.
Arabic district is dirty, and noisy. Only Arabic television channels. Slow internet, available only at the reception. Poor, very poor, condition of the facilities, room was very dirty, with dirty spots on the ceiling, moisture and insects. Furniture is old and broken. Very dark room, actualy only 3 small lambs in the room. Breakfast was bad, extremly poor choice of dishes. Bathroom was also bad, some tiles was cracked, some was absent, and everything was coverd by black mold. Price is extremly high for such things.
Fine breakfast though coffee could be better, Tea and coffee in the room.
Localisation: though very close to the city walls and Damascus Gate - it's in a shabby area. The shuttle from Tel Aviv did not want to go this area... Could have been cleaner... the stains on the ceiling... the bathroom - the lift.... make it a bit worse than expected.
Location is good. Hotel has potential to become a good hotel but lots of small improvements are needed for that.
2 lights in my room were not working. One was repaired after 2 days. One shower screen was not present, transforming my bathroom into a swimming pool after each shower. Was not repaired during my 1-week stay. Two times the breakfast was not ready at 7h00 as promised, but 15 min too late. WiFi only works in the lobby, not in the rooms. The hotel itself is quite noisy: the doors make lots of noise as well as airco's. Some of the staff is helpful and competent, but not all. Room cleaning was below average. Some towels were quite old.
Friendly staff. Quite and good location.
I really enjoyed staying there, but it was a little bit of a messy feeling, with broken windows in the hall, mess when you look around a corner etc.
Mold and mildew in the room. Very over priced. I would not carry this hotel on your site and it is definitely not 3 stars!
The location of this hotel is conveniently across from Harod's Gate of the walled city in Jerusalem. Staff were friendly and worked hard to accommodate the best they can.
We have visited this hotel during Christmas season, so it was a bit pricy for the value. Breakfast was adequate with room for improvements. Hotel needed more attention all over in maintenance, cleanliness, internet, and food services. It was more of a one star hotel rather than three. When our reservation nights were over, we moved to another hotel which I wished we did from the very beginning.
The location is right next to the old city.
The hotel is not really clean, and breakfast could be better. The hotel is situated in the muslim part of jerusalem therefore the close vicinity of the hotel is really dirty/ugly, but at least not dangerous as there is police station in the street.
