I felt transported to my childhood when I travelled with my parents to a hotel like the King David where the need of the guests came first. Where luxury was second to none and where the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We can't wait to come back again soon.
We loved the room with a balcony overlooking the Old City! The atmosphere of the hotel is great and it was wonderful being in the public areas. Really enjoy the terrace and garden.
The lighting in the bathroom is too dim and needs to be upgraded. The menu offering and service at the pool restaurant are poor and can be improved.
All the staff is so nice and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The food is delicious. The rooms are ao comfortable and relaxing.
The staff was very professional at the same time professional. Special mention of mr James in the concierge who has helped me to get out of the country when the airport was closed due to war. He will prove to be an asset to the hotel
The doors of the balcony was not closing properly. I have to struggle to close. It was not user friendly. Room no 310
I travelled with my boyfriend to Jerusalem and spent 1 night at the King David. We had an upgraded room and the hotel was absolutely beautiful. Also...no raised eyebrows etc at a gay couple sharing a bed which was nice!
Very helpful staff. Great view across to old city
No coffee / tea facilities in room. Room service could be better; breakfast required three visits from staff to provide things that were missing; cold milk for tea, butter, ketchup
Great to stay in an Iconic hotel. Everything is top notch.
Everything was good pool area great
The luxury, the cuisine, the history of the hotel, its location and the staff is perfect.
The carpet in our bedroom could have been clean. It would have been better for a 5 stars hotel.
The service, decor, location were outstanding
Lovely hotel with rich history. Breakfast was excellent.
Difficulty using room phone. Tried a number of times to rectify the situation. Was given incorrect information which held up important communication. Lack of concern by staff regarding our situation. Unacceptable.
Wonderful stay. Good location. Very helpful staff.
Maybe the best hotel in the world !!
There is nothing to fault at the King David !!
Excellent service, fabulous hostess, specially for foreign tourists like us. Beautiful decorated public spaces and private rooms. We got an upgrade for a large room, it looked like a big suite with hall and private bathroom: separate douchecabine, bath and toilet, All drinks from the minibar were free.
Although wie ordernd a room in a very High Price Kategorie, wie didn't have a balcony. They told us, if wie became Dan Hotel Members, wie would get an Upgrade next Time. I was not amused about this.
Probably the best hotel in Israel. We didn't like the food but all other facilities were brilliant.
Dated feel and appearance
Room was recently renovated and absolutely lovely. Pool is divine.
Restaurant service was abysmal. Buffet breakfast was terrific, but dinner for 17 was a disaster and service for lunch on Shabat was ridiculously bad. Bar at the pool arbitrarily closed in the middle of a lovely afternoon after a long day of sight seeing.
The concierge is very good.
The breakfast on saturdays are very poor beacuse of the Shabbat. They say they can prepare anything with hands on this day. So everything is a bad and cheep industrialized food and drink. The coffe is a nescafe and the juice is a juice box! The bread seems from the previous night! I would never stay on saturdays again. They should offer a discount if they don't want to work after all! They also forgot to clean up our room one day, even with the sign on So be aware because the rates for night start in us$ 550!
The hotel is a destination in itself
The staff were excellent and we had a lovely time taking refuge in the hotel.
The pool was closed for our stay :-(
The location and the friendly kindness of Bellboys at entrance and in general.
The Breakfast Buffet did not outshine many much cheaper hotels in the area. Food was average, typical compared to many hotels in Israel as we have been to many throughout the years. The general appearance for such a grand historical hotel lacked upkeep and pristine cleanliness of areas in general. Was very dissappointed with several things throughout our stay, sad mostly. Am fully aware of the charm and magic of this place. Was surprised with lack of details that are expected throughout the phisical facilities, mechanic of things. King David Hotel remained THAT for us. We will go back always for coffee at the terrace, but we do not plan to stay there again.
Everything about the King David is fantastic.
The King David combines early twentieth century elegance and glamour, with dignified modern Israeli efficiency. Bedrooms and public rooms are elegant, spacious and restrained, with much dark wood and many soft lights. Furnishings are perfect and attention to detail is found everywhere. Service is faultless. The location could not be improved. These things combine to make the King David an exceptional hotel. They do not lie when they say it is one of the world's finest hotels. You will pay a lot to stay here. You will not be disappointed.
I liked everything to be honest.
