Concierge stuff always think about commission from restaurants((( not good advice.

The terrace at night, with friendly staff and delicious cakes. Breakfast is astonishing and Alfred is a wonderful man. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite with views of the old city..breathtaking.

Location is fantastic 10min walk to the Jaffa Gate entrance to the old city of Jerusalem. Staff very friendly, excellent breakfast buffet, big open rooms.

Only free wifi in the reception area. We were on holiday/work and we both have a laptop, we have to pay for 2 devices 210 $ for one laptop 3days use, that makes 70$ per day...which in our days you can get wifi for free in the smallest coffee shop or back packers lodge.

All the staff very helpful . All the staff smiling asking all the time if they can help you . The Hotel is one of the best in the world. I am travelling in 5 stars Hotels since 20 years now and it's the first time I feel so good . I give a deposit at arrival and when it was time to pay they change for me at the highest rate I can get in the city. They are correct .

Everything is excellent, from the service to the food. It's hard to find a fault, the rooms are very comfortable.

The location of the hotel is great. Everything was nice and clean, great atmosphere and good amenities and well equipped rooms.

Problems with the concierge service was solid by the director of the hotel – excuse and a present – which we were happy about. The only negative – dirty dishes in the restaurant/breakfast buffet, the staff was good as well as the breakfast buffet.

Excellent location.

Service was choppy at times. Ex.: Ordered a fruit plate from the room service in the evening - was never delivered. Complained next day. They apologized and sent a fruit plate for free. Hotel suite had a worn out feel about it. Seemed like last time it was refurbished by Kind David himself.

It is a shame, we have to pay the wifi. Elegant hotels give it for free...... Szwajcer

Great breakfast buffet and wonderful pool area

The front desk , with one exception, were rude and unhelpful. The room was tired and dated and certainly not up to current luxury standards (eg, no outlet in the bathroom). A light was out in the bathroom for 3 days. One night the pass 'key' would not work in the door and so I had to go back down to the desk 3 times to get replacement passes which did not work. No one came with me to make sure the door opened! Finally a maid called security who, when he finally came, had to re-program the lock. Meanwhile my wife and I are standing in the hallway for more than 30 minutes.

An iconic hotel and rightly so. Everythi g was wonderful from the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, to the luxury of the rooms and opulence of surroundings.

There is only one little niggle. In Israel there seems to be free wi-fi virtually everywhere, from the cheapest cafe to even churches. So why does this hotel want to charge an exorbitant amount (about £12 per day) for wi-fi? Seems a bit churlish after the amount we pay to stay there. (However cross rhe road, sit outside the ymca and they have it for free). Other than that small thing I couldn't fault it in any way.

Beautiful historic hotel with an amazing story to tell. Tradition and excellence throughout. We were upgraded to an executive room on the 6th floor facing the Old City--truly magnificent in every way. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Breakfast staff especially friendly and anxious to please. Good fitness facility and beautiful pool. Terrace (garden) restaurant was accessible and fairly priced. Good for lunch. Enjoyed exploring the historic floor of signatures and all photographic chronology. A special experience!!

Nothing...everything great...except room price, while worth it, was high.

Hotels in Jerusalem do not meet western standards yet in spite of their relatively high prices. King David Hotel is an old fashion luxury hotel. The location is superb at 10 minutes walk to the Old City. The outdoor pool is very pretty and convenient. The rooms are spacious. We recommend the delux. If you like late 60's hotel palace style, you will really enjoy this place.

The interior design is dated. The hotel would be fantastic if it was refurbished. The staff is not always putting attention to details. In more than one occasion, plates were not 100% clean.

The history and reputation the service was outstanding with one exception and that was the concierge service which was only fair. The price is on the high side.

The friendliness of the staff. The dinning room staff help you from the moment you enter the room. You feel like they are family. All the staff at the front desks are extremely helpful and want to please. Bellman and outside staff extremely helpful..Housekeeping staff exceptional. Overall a very very enjoyable stay made possible by everyone there.

La forte symbolique dégagée. La chambre très spacieuse. Le personnel de service du petit-déjeuner était parfait.

Le personnel du service de la terrasse. La longueur pour être servi. Le barman qui ne sait pas faire un Mojito. Une table ronde refusée au motif qu'elle est réservée alors qu'elle n'a jamais été occupée.

Tout ! cet hôtel est un pur enchantement le personnel est à l'écoute, les chambres sont magnifiques, l'hôtel est sublime.Pour être venue plusieurs fois à Jérusalem dans d'autres hôtels, je dis, pour les voyageurs qui ont un budget à consacrer à leur hébergement : Le King David, c'est "the only place to be a jerusalem" !!!
