All was super
The price was super low, compared to comparable hotels in the same area. The basics were fine.
The hotel is getting run down and in need of repair. Most of the defects were cosmetic, but they still reflect on the quality.
Nothing was exceptional. The parking lot need to be renew.
We had to wait about 15 min. to check-in. There was only one person at the front dest who had a problem with guests that came to check-in also.
Location was quiet good, nice sized room.
Breakfast was poor seen better in Israel, hotel old looking.
The room was marvellously comfortable and roomy. The housekeeping and maintenence was impeccable both in the room and in the public areas. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was a pleasure. The staff really knows how to make a guest feel welcome - the service was seamless. I would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Jerusalem. The location was great too.
Can't think of a thing!
The hotel was very centrally located. Could walk to everything. The staff would call a cab if needed. Front desk was helpful. Food was great.
I liked only the coffee and hot chocolate cake at breakfast as well as the terrace of the breakfast room.
Stuffy rooms and really old bathrooms. They need to close the entire hotel for some thorough renovation.
Location is great. Staff very helpful.
Staff except for a few exceptions gave a feeling of wanting to be somewhere else, something is wrong with management or conditions Pool has strange opening hours that you have to work around Decor worn and gloomy Ambience follows decor Cost does not warrant service and product Feels like hotel is living on its reputation
Spacious rooms: quiet dining room w balcony area. Pleasant pool. Multiskilled efficient receptionist.
The pakid /clerk saturday morning was extremely kind and hospitable.
Cost of lunch/supper should be reduced for hotel guests of King Solomon.
The location is great. a walk distance from the old city. we came on friday and they let us stay till 20:00 the next day until shabath ends no extra charge.
The breakfast was very basic. The pool is small.
staff a desk rude poor value for the price we paid for the room Upgrade room was disappointing fridge did not work safe was locked never stay there agian
I liked everything about the hotel, especially the view of the old city of Jerusalem and Monte Fiore Mill from my window in the 10th floor. Fantastic!!! The king size bed was very confortable!!! Perfect location with 10 min walk to the Jaffa Gate, entrance to the old city, 5 min walk to Mamilla mall
I liked everything, congrats!
-The location and the view from the room
- Not enough parking places for free - For the israelians, the price with VAT (ok), but why in dollars? - The pool closed at 6 p.m., even the sun was still up - The chambermaid entered the room at 8 a.m. without knocking
Nearby Old City; free parking; breakfast buffet
Lower floors were very noisy due to location on busy intersection. Front Desk staff seemed unwilling to accommodate needs.
Liked proximity to Jaffa Gate and Walkway from there to King David st. for restaurants and shopping. Breakfast room very nice.
No baggage help by door staff. Booking.com reservation not recorded and we had to argue to get rooms. Not good from booking.com efficiency. Reception staff not particularly good at problem solving. We waited for ages until they rang booking.com. Got room, finally, but keys would not work!! Back to reception. Not good! Rooms small and older style.
We liked the generous size of the room. The view was beautiful. Big thick towels were a definite plus. But the best of the best was the breakfasts. Those wonderful breakfasts really gave us an elegant start to our days.
There was this private cab driver who advertised himself as an agent of the hotel. He was mean, combative and ill- tempered. We had a shouting match with him on the streets of Bethlehem because he wanted to transfer us to a larger vehicle and provide us with a tour guide. We prevailed, bit not without two very unpleasant public shouting matches.
traveled with 92 year old and 3 month old. All hotels on Jerusalem seemed overpriced to begin with so this option was better than most for the money. The women at reception were very nice. Location was great for able bodied walking to the Old City at about 1 km to the Jaffa Gate down a hill. Older visitors will need to taxi for about 20 shekels. Beds were comfy. A few good restaurants across street. Pool was large and we didn't see a single person use it in 5 days! Free parking. Views of old city from one side are spectacular.. New city views on other side are also nice. :) Rooms with small balconies if you can handle the wind.
This place has seen better days! A bit dated and not maintained. A lot of grime in all corners and cracks. Restaurant closed early and had VERY limited room service menu. Pool hours were gender segregated and ridiculously short. A small point but oh my, the lobby STANK of strong cologne each day, yuck! The breakfast buffet had many options but sadly most food was not kept hot apart from the made to order omelets. Aside from reception and housekeeping the staff were not very friendly, and a bit apathetic.. most everyone glued to their iPhones when not giving cursory answers or assistance. It wouldn't kill the security to help open the doors for grandpa and mama struggling with luggage and baby but I think he was too engaged with his smart phone to notice us each day we returned from town!
They had a room available at the last minute.
It was dingy, staff at the desk were barely polite, the room was expensive, canned fruit for breakfast, the décor was outdated, there was no outside space except the pool during restricted hours.
We had a lovely balcony with our room. All the things we requested beforehand we got, like a crib and a low floor. Before we went, many of the comments said the promised parking was full, but we were there 4 nights and we had parking available the whole time. So I guess it depends on what season you come. We went in May. We also thought the room was big enough and didn't feel cramped. It was clean. We needed another hour before we left after check out time and they said that was fine.
On the map it looked like a short walk to the Western Wall but it was very complicated and you had to go through a big park. It was too far to walk around it through the street way and you had to take a cab. Also the staff was very helpful on the weekdays but the staff on the weekends was not very helpful at all. There was no restaurant nearby and the only close enough supermarket was closed. Also no shopping nearby.
Great location. Great comfortable room and view from the window. Great staff at the breakfast and a great veriety of food. Special thanks to the front desk staff and Mr. Waid (the best breafast superwiser).
Leaving the hotel and Jerusalem.
Great location. Friendly place.
Possibly a little tired in appearance but otherwise well maintained.
Location was fantastic, beds were very comfortable and rooms size very good.
Poor attitude of the staff, pretty unfriendly (other than the late night security guards). The hotel is tired, needs a major "face lift", poorly lit and a little smelly.
The hotel is close to the old city, which was a bit plus for me. Staff on the whole were very helpful, except for one lady behind reception desk for whom everything was difficult or impossible. I learned that it is important to insist! Customer power lies in these reviews!
The hotel looks tired! I imagine it looked at its best in the 60 or 70s but by now the decor has lost its appeal! The bathrooms look old, the furniture from a different time (but not with the charm of the antique). On the other hand the rooms are large and airy! Bigger than what one finds in contemporary built hotels.
