I stayed in the Maris hotel during a recent 12 day stay in Haifa. The hotel was very quiet which suited my needs. The room was spacious with lots of storage and a kitchenette which was very useful to have. The room was cleaned daily except for Saturday due to Shabbat. The staff were very friendly and helpful also.
The wifi connection in the room was a little temperamental and regularly the connection would drop.
Great location: close to downtown and a train station.
Room was very clean, not too far away from beach. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and also paid parking space next door. Facilities in the bathroom were great. There was even hair conditioner provided!
The standard room is a bit small, only suitable for short stay.
quiet clean convenient fast connect to internet
Very nice staff, impressive design, new hotel, close to public transportation, very recommended!
No basics for cooking or cleaning
We spent a quiet weekend and a great location ... nice and central ... excellent value for money
Without breakfast ... but a lot of good restaurants around and cheap
Staff Proximity to station Basic room but clean
Good location Very clean and cozy Fast wifi connection
liked that it was located next to the port(2+ blocks). My parents arrived on a cruise ship for 3 days and I live in Jerusalem so this was the perfect location for us. We used it as a starting point to tour the Galilee. The cost was very reasonable. It is also near the German Colony which has one of the only strictly kosher (Mahedrin) restaurants in Haifa named "The Cafe". And the hotel is also very close to the train station.
The shower consisted of a shower head but no shower stall. The floor does slope toward the drain. There is no breakfast included but that was OK as I keep Kosher.
Very clean and nicely kept. Friendly staff, willing to assist and make one feel comfortable. Good location for the port and central train station.
It was a bit far to walk, 20 to 25 minutes, from where I was spending most of my days otherwise for someone coming from downtown Haifa very convenient.
Best value for money i have ever seen.
Hotel is very basic- but that is how it is presented.
Great little hotel close to the train station, very comfortable and clean. Would definetly stay here again and recommend to friends.
The position was superb: within yards of the downtown tram and main station. The room was excellent, terrific facilities, great staff. It was also within happy eating distance of some great restaurants and cafes in the Arab quarter. For the price, an absolute bargain.
Close to the train station + downtown ; excellent price
No breakfast in the hotel - no own parking
The staff were courteous . The room was comfortable and clean. The housekeeping was good, as the room was cleaned everyday and towels changed. It is located close to a major train and bus station, so connectivityto other places is good.
Although located near German Colony, it is exactly not very close to it or any other major location in Haifa. Since the hotel is located next to the port, there is nothong around the hotel. I had to go to German colony for meals as there were no good restaurants nearby. The hotel did not provide breakfast or have a restaurant.
The staff was very helpful. (Thanks!) Overall, I liked this hotel: nice, clean and comfortable.
This location is excellent during the day, but becomes less inviting at night. (It is not bad, it is just a lot less alive at night. Lower Haifa)
Everything was perfect! I can recomend this hotel to everyone.
Friendly staff, clean room, coffee and tea in a room, fully furnished (microwave, fridge, plates..). Safety.
Breakfast not included We got a room with a window on a port and railway tracks so it was really noisy at night There are lots of moscitos in this area so be prepared...
Price/value ratio Cleanliness Overall best hotel in our (rather budget oriented) Israel trip
One day (out of three) there was a bit trouble with hot water You hear the trains nearby (Shabbat was ok) A location is a bit scary at night
Clean, renovated hotel with good wifi speed. The pictures correspond to the facts.
Objectively speaking, the hotel(actually just 1 floor above business offices), is relatively new, modern and clean. The bathroom, and kitchenette were best part of the room, and our suite had a large patio/balcony.
Location is everything and this hotel is located by the port/docks and the picture of the entrance is cropped so as not to reveal the real surroundings which are quite unattractive and unappealing. The parking lot was located nearby, but was still about 50 meters or so away, and at night it felt unsafe to walk from car to hotel entrance. Didn't feel comfortable leaving rental car there overnight. No room cleaning on the Sabbath, which I felt was inadequate for a suite which cost us double the price of a standard room. Room safe did not work and was not fixed 'til the next day. Hotel has 0 facilities-no gym, bar, restaurant, gift shop nothing.
silence... all brand new, staff ok
location in middle of nowhere close to the port WIFI terrible
