The room was ok, nothing special but comfortable. We payed 12 dollars for the baby cot. We stayed in 6 hotels in our tour in Israel and Marom was the only hotel that charged us for the baby cot. Location is ok if you have a car.

good breakfast (selection of food) very helpful & friendly staff (helped with all technical problems like air con or broken kettle very fast and efficiently) parking the rooms are bit run down/need modernisation. Many minor things needed repair (kettle, air-con, shower in one of the rooms - the staff however was sorting the issues promptly)

We liked the helpfulness and attention of the staff. The breakfast was ample and acceptable. We liked having a refrigerator and kettle in the room but no-one warned us that there were no supplies of tea, coffee or milk in the room. We had no idea how far it was from the interesting parts of Haifa. Getting there from a train station was an expensive taxi ride. We took a slow, meandering bus back to the station when we left. It would help if the hotel had a shuttle car or bus to help people get around.

Great view from every room! Largest mini fridge I ever had. The bathroom had a good layout. Free parking. The rooms have had their time and then some. A renovation would be in order.

1. breakfast was good 2. person who prepared breakfast was very friendly 1. bath towels very thin and didn't smell fresh. 2. soap is either very old or of very low quality. 3. remote control of the tv barely worked 4. heater didn't work, and there were no instructions on how to operate it 5. overall the room wasn't fresh, definitelly not worth $90, at best room like this is about $40 - $50.

We have family 1.5 miles from the location, aging parents in a home for the elderly, so we booked due to location! We were impressed although it looked as if it is was in a residential area (not too close to beach), that they still offered several amenities, such as a great Israeli breakfast, great cleaning service, etc. We encouraged my brother to stay there in March as well, as we take turns going to care for our parents, so he is! Marina and her family were always warm and welcoming and making sure everything was fine. Since we spend no time in the room, it was an escape of the harsh reality of ailing, aging parents, and felt like a great get away. One just has to be aware, it isn't very handcapped accessible, it is definitely designed more for the rugged traveler, than the traveler looking for luxury!

Nice and affordable. The only problem for us was that it was a bit of a distance from the religious sites we were going to see. But it was a nice place and the staff was very friendly.

I liked the fact that for a budget hotel, my room was clean and generally satisfactory, the lift was a real addition. Breakfast provision was varied and plentiful and the generous time period of 6.30-9.30 meant that I was able to have a lie in before getting up, without risking missing it. The staff are helpful and friendly and the bus/taxi service from the hotel to downtown Haifa is very good. As long as guests don't expect luxury, they will not be disappointed. I stayed for three days and was content with the service, but it has to be appreciated that the Marom is a budget class hoteld and doesn't pretend to be anything else. I was happy with my choice and would stay there again; would also recommend to friends provided they were not expecting 4 or 5 star luxury. There was one thing that did concern me. This was the behaviour and dress of the male staff member who oversees breakfast in the mornings and also works on reception. The member concerned is not tidily dressed and appears to be hard in his dealings with the female staff members who come to clear away the breakfast dishes and clean the tables. I also watched him seeming to speak rudely to a young, black female who was cleaning the space outside the dining room, seeming to be accusing her of not doing it properly. I do not wish to cause trouble for this man, but do believe it would be in Hotel Marom's interests to confront him over his treatment of fellow workers and urge him to dress appropriately in a well pressed shirt and dark trousers rather than T shirt and jeans.

Well... its wasn't expensive, but for this price I can get way better and cleaner hotel almost anywhere in Europe (except may be Paris or London). I would rate the hotel as fair, despite shabby look and tiny rooms, but the only thing I cannot forgive are grey (I believe they were white some years ago) bed linen and towels.

Very clean, friendly, nice breakfast, tea and coffee making facilities. The cheapness of hotel compensated for by cost of taxi to and from each day.

We enjoyed our stay treenendously! There was road work being done on the outside so the outside was not notiable until we were close to the door. It was like stepping backward in time to a more gracious elegant time. The reception area, bar (wasn't being used but we got off at the wong floor) and dining room were all clean and richly appointed. Our room was really nice: very clean and well organized giving us the feel of being in a larger room. There was a small kitchenette like area with a microwave, mini frig, stainless steel sink and electric kettle. However, we had to go to the dining room for teabags or coffee. Some things that were not important, but people should expect. The elevato is small, holding only 4 people and the halls while very clean the rugs were older and the paint just okay. After the elevator and hall the room was a wonderful surprise. The breakfast that is included in the price of the room is well worth the slight extra charge. There were a wide variety of foods: cold cereal, coffee, Danish, dairy foods and Israeli specialties. Everything was beautifully presented and extremely yummy! The staff were all very nice and helpful. The receptionist called a cab whenever we needed it and the dining room staff provided extra requests. Our stay at the Marom Hotel made our visit to Haifa extra special. The price of the room was affordable and well worth the price. The only disappointment was that the hot tub was closed due to the road work that was being done. Any time we return to Haifa, we will stay at the Marom Hotel. We didn't know how to work the air conditioner. We called the desk and were offered help if we couldn't fix it. We eventually figured it out.

1. Quiet. 2. Filling and diverse breakfast. 1. Exorbitant exchange rate. 2. The hotel is very tired and badly needs facelift both in the rooms and public areas. 3. Tiny bathroom. 4. The carpet in my room was done in patches which only added to the feeling of underinvestment. 5. This is a budget style hotel at higher than budget price.

The family who runs the hotel is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is great - ample and with many choices. This is a less expensive hotel than the others that we considered. The location is not walking distance from much of anything. We used a taxi to go to dinner and another to do some shopping. If we had more time and patience we may have been able to use buses.
