room, staff, service
Helpful staff, good location, good value for money
The Cleanliness of the Hotel and the Staff was Great.
Room size is small and no so comfortable for more than 2 adults in the same room.
The location is just excellent. You are in a nice area and the restaurants offer is good. The cleanliness of the room and the quiteness is also very good.
there was only one chair in the room with a very low table, It would have been nice to have had a normal table size with an additional chair.
Very warm and friendly... They went that extra step. and they were very helpful with our taxi.
Employees were very courteous. Breakfast was enjoyed by all and very convenient. Bed was very comfortable, not too soft. Great location right near Ben Yehuda shopping and restaurants.
It was written that foreigners do not need to pay the VAT (tax) I come from an ex-Israeli family and have a distinct Israeli name, but I am not a citizen. When I checked-in they where very suspicious about me and did not believed me when I said I'm not Israeli, even after I showed them my US passport, my Bank of America credit card (the same card I payed for my stay!) and my New York ID.... still, they charged the VAT!! I didn't want to fight and make a big deal since I was on vacation with friends and just wanted to enjoy my time... but that made me feel like I was called a liar. I will never come back to this hotel, and will not recommend it. Also - wifi didn't worked, and the breakfast was shameful.
Location, breakfast, the staff
Great breakfast, very comfortable bed.
breakfast choice..toaster when available was useless, your write up said a bar it was never open.ordered a double bed was booked into two singles after complaint was moved to a double.toilet stopped flushing at the end of stay
Breakfast, very small selection
Room and position very good, staff were friendly and I Would definitely stay there again
Hotel a bit shabby Breakfast ok when hotel had a large group but when they left, not v good. Instant tea/coffee. No toaster. Just a plate of mixed cheeses and vegetables instead of a whole banquet selection one usually finds in an Israeli hotel. Staff were variably helpful.
Good location Nice room
The "soap" in the dispenser is inadequate. And to use this as shampoo is below standard. The mattress was adequate. In spite of there being a remote control for the TV, apparently guests need to manually turn on both the TV and cable box which was explained to me after I couldn't operate the TV.
Staff was wonderful. Great location.
Staff members were very friendly and helpful. Early arrival was not a problem. Breakfasts were delicious. Location is great.
Windows do not seal very well, which makes outside noises quite hearable and cold coming inside. On the other hand, the street is quite silent and in room heating/AC works properly, so it is not a big deal. As I understand, praxis of the hotel is to write down number of guest's credit card and the security code :-(. It maks one feel very uncomfortable.
Hotel is placed well (5 mins walk to Ben Jehuda street, 20 mins walk to Jaffa Gate, 20 mins walk to Cetral bus station), staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast on sabat was quite poor, on the other days was good/very good.
Breakfast was okay, but lacked service, such as fresh omelettes or pancakes made for you. No parking outside the hotel and difficult to find. You need good directions.
All the staff were very, very helpful. Quiet street. Lots of good eating places around. The weekly arts and craft market was just up the lane and worth a look. Couple of busy cafes up the lane were open on Shabbat for real coffee and fresh food...naughty, but nice!
Some people complain about lower ranked hotels because they expect 4/5 star luxury but don't want to pay for it. The Montefiore is very centrally located for shops and amenties. The breakfast was decent with a reasonable choice. Wifi worked, room clean and beds comfortable. Recommended.
Just about everything. The staff makes you feel satisfied and significant. For the price is fantastic.
We arrived early and were offered access to our room and we had an evening flight and were offered to keep our room until 8pm- both very helpful
Hallway noise very evident in room. Door did not close well and was loosely secured by chain. Held luggage before check-in was not well secured. Room overdue for renovation.
Good location for my needs. Decent breakfast. Good wifi in the lobby, spotty in the room.
Lack of a bar and relaxation facilities.
The attention and friendliness of the staff.
The only thing is that you must to double check that the rooms you reserved are those in the pictures
The room was wonderfoul and the staff was so kind. Very clean and the position is fantastic. .
A/C in room did not work. Front desk person came to try to adjust. Finally switched rooms. Quality of A/C was still fair.
Location. Breakfast choices
Room was very dark.
Well located on a nice quiet street and very close to the centre of town.
