Montefiore Hotel

The Montefiore Hotel has undergone a wonderful transformation. The hotel looks great, the staff is pleasant and helpful, the breakfast buffet is satisfying. You can't beat the location.

Staff spoke excellent English. I had no real problems. Very comfortable.

Laundry too several days.

The location is excellent as is the value for money. Nothing fancy but there is everything you need in a good, utilitarian room.

Poor choice of TV channels in English. No face cloths.

The hotel is slated for renovation and really needs it. I felt transported back to the 80's. It was a modest place, a bit shabby, small room, hard beds (twin pushed together) and very basic.

We didn’t expect luxury, but we were simply shocked. The hotel was built probably 50 years ago, and looked this age. The beds were the worse we saw lately and the carpet was dirty. We complained and got the 7th floor suite, which was larger, but at the same pitiful condition. Luckily, we needed to stay only one night, but still suffered through the breakfast, which was laughable. The main issue is not the hotel condition, but the mismatch between the price and the accommodation. This hotel is a great deal for a price range of $80-$100 and acceptable up to $120, but we paid $155. They are in the process of renovating, so better wait till they complete the renovations before you try this hotel.

Very good value for the money. The room was quite small, but: clean, very good mattress, good pressure in the showers, and a typical big israeli breakfast. wifi worked perfectly in our room. we try hard not to overpay for hotels, and would absolutely stay here again.

we booked tripple room but when we got to the hotel we asked the mgr to change our room to bouble since our 3rd party cacelled his trip with us and way they changed the room but still chsrged us for tripple and refused to change the room rate. i was overpriced. who's going to refund my money back for the differnance!!

the hotel is in a good location, very central and yet quietly located on a pedestrian street. It's not new, but in very reasonable condition. Beds a bit small but quite comfortable.

there was reasonable good choice for breakfast, but it was slightly lower quality than other places we stayed at in Israel
