The location and view was amazing. Very clean hotel. Lovely food. The pool was wonderful, never really crowded.

The standard room was smaller than I expected for the price. The bottom of the paddling pool needed cleaning, a lot of sand/ dirt had accumulated there.

Great hotel. Architecture of building is magnificent. Makes yo feel like you are in Jerusalem. Extremely helpful front desk staff. Location provides a spectacular view of the Old City. Within walking distance of center of city, but easier by bus or cab.

This was my third time staying at Mt. Zion hotel - it is a beautiful hotel, clean, and most of the staff was very solicitous especially in the security situation we had in July 2014.

If a hotel advertises free parking with a room then they should have enough parking available for all guests that request and need it. I rented a car partly with the knowledge that parking was available. Guests are allowed to park in two very small lots across the street - competing for spaces with regular Jerusalem residents and with people attending the renowned Jerusalem Intl. film festival. I had to double park and run into the hotel when I checked in to ask about parking and the security and front desk staff were extremely short, unfriendly, and unhelpful. I was told to just 'find something on the street' - 'it's not our problem.' I was very fortunate that the staff at the Scottish Hospice Guest House, where I had been staying before, allowed me to park on their grounds for the rest of my time in Jerusalem. Mt. Zion is a beautiful hotel, but they need to take much better care of their guests with respect to parking.

    An excellent position away from the croud, close enough to the city, easy to park, and a large pool to cool down in summer. Personal helpful on request;

Oldish hotel, needs some bathroom refurbishment.

The hotel has magnificent views of the city. The pool area is lush with flowers and has good food service.

For the money, it is differently not worth it . Our room was very tired and tiny and dark, when we asked to change rooms I was told they did not have any others. I asked to talk to the manager and still no other rooms available. I went downstairs and asked to speak to the manager and with a great deal of attitude, I got a larger room, but the room still had cleanliness issues and I got a lot of attitude for expecting more for $450/night, The daily cleaning left soap scum, not enough towels, no turn down service and generally a hotel that is not customer sensitive or friendly. Their is a sercurity guard at front of hotel when you arrive but no one to call you a cab. Front desk service not customer friendly. I can see at one time this was a beautiful boutique hotel but I would stay at the King David or a better hotel where they really care about the customer and typical services like having a washcloth in your room and having a light bulb fixed actually are taken care of. Don't spend the money on this hotel!

The pool area was fab Breakfast was pretty good The staff and service was generally good, especially compared to other hotels we stayed in in israel during this visit. Location was good, could easily walk to the Old City.

It took over 20 minutes to get our luggage out of storage as apparently the bell boys had all gone home with the keys and they couldn't find a set! It was not clear that you could get waiter service by the pool so we waited a couple of hours until someone else had enquires. The food was good but when the meal came our french fries were cold.

The old world charm and beautiful decor, courtyard gardens, breakfast and room with balcony.enjoyed our stay and would return.

When we arrived at hotel, room we were given was very tiny. Complained, and was allocated a better room with balcony. The staff were very helpful in this regard. The only other thing I would mention to further guests is its a fair walk to old city. Walking up hill but ok on way back, or you can take cab for 30 to 40 nis oneway.

The unusual design of the place, the quiet, the magnificent view, the exotic oriental feel of the decor. The staff was very friendly and unusually helpful. I can't wait to come back. My guests also loved the hotel

This is the most interesting and beautiful hotel in Jerusalem. I have been to Jerusalem many times. On a previous visit in 2008, I was taken to the Mount Zion for lunch. I was captivated by the view from the lobby cafe window as well as the history, architecture and furnishings at this hotel. Since then, I have tried to stay at the Mount Zion on subsequent trips, but it was not available, until my most recent trip in April 2014. I loved everything about my stay at the Mount Zion.

Location just out of the Old City - 10 minutes' walk - and with a nice view.

The room was a bit noisy because of the air conditioning and the cooling fan of the refrigerator.

Beautiful old building well located closed to the old city. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely pool. Comfortable large bed.

Our rate didn't include breakfast and we thought the cost of breakfast very high. However, it was very good quality. We had one meal in the cafe which wasn't good and sent back the pasta which was not well cooked.

Great location, nice view from the hot tub on the old city, great breakfast, very nice staff, we really enjoyed the place.

the housekeeping is a bit slow... we left the room at 8:30 am, came back at 2:30 pm and found the housekeeping in our room... then they hurried up but it was not really great (clean). they simply forgot some things to pick up, etc. not too bad, but the only thing that wasn't exciting.
