This was the first hostel I ever stayed in, so I don't have any other hostel to compare this one with. Overall, it was a nice place to call home for a week. Having the locker to store my stuff in was very helpful. Decent living quarters for the price and location; its only a couple blocks from the beach, the street market area, and right around the corner from the small restaurants and neighborhood stores. It wasn't as crowded due to the low tourism happening in the country right now, so any noise from others staying at the hostel (down the hall) were rarely an issue.
There was no hot water in the community kitchen. Every now and then a cockroach would come through the kitchen area. With no AC and the hostel right next door to an English pub, sleeping was difficult for me (my roommate slept just fine, though).
Location, 5 minutes to the beach and bus stop & supermarket just around the corner. Early check-in. Good wifi (3rd floor).
Very old building & kitchen was not very well equipped.
location - 5 minutes to the beach - bus stop just around the corner - food market few minutes away staff - friendly and helpful
shared shower kitchen where you almost cannot cook (not enough dishes, very old cooker)
Max (receptionist) is super!! Very helpful men.
Very close to the beach
A lot of step to go up with baggage
staff is very helpful
dirty! no cleaning since ages!
Good location and prica
nice guy at the front desk - about 5 minutes to the sea - good wifi - really big dorm room
This hostel is really really old, need a lot of renovation - esspecially showers are bad and uncomfortable - no breakfast
very close to the beach free wi-fi in the room quiet
the dirtiest hostel I've ever been to
The front desk staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and the location (less than five minutes from the beach) was excellent.
I arrived very, very early in the morning and 24 hour check in was not available (be aware of this if you are making travel plans).
near the beach, and the staff is so nice. it has parking port and supermarket nearby.
only has cold water for shower
Not very clean, and very close to the road, with bad windows, which made it noisy.
The floors had numerous broken tiles. The rooms were hot and they installed fans the day I left. There were social aspects of the hostel. This made it hard to meet people other than the ones in your room
The location is quite good, not far either from the beach or from the Bazar Karmel (Shuk Ha'Carmel) where you can buy almost everything. I can recommend this place for not too demanding travelers as a base to get some sleep and go ;) Nice room (like a loft) for a big group of people on the 2nd(?) floor
This place is in urgent need of renewal and redecoration. Walls, floors, furniture, curtains... look tired and dirty, even if they are clean. The bunk bed mattress worn out. The special metion of the bathroom (there is no door to the shower on the 1st(?) floor, only some flying curtain..
Max (the staff) was very helpful/ Great location, close to beach and city centre, the bus stop is opposite the hostel. There is a direct route to central bus station and railway station. The market is 10min walk where you can buy anything at a very reasonable prices
The room could do with additional furniture/shelving
Good location, very helpful staff, spacious room. We stayed in double room. Even though the bathroom was common, it was clean and tidy.
Stained bedsheets, room shabby. I am glad we had our own sleeping bag and pillow. You could see that it leaks into the room, as the walls were stained and paint fell off.
Close to rhe beach
Poorly equipped kitchen
Both Sam and Max were extremely helpful, they helped us with all our bad fortunes happened our travellng and made our stay as easy as it could be. The place is very friendly. Kitchen was ok, we could cook some chicken there and there was always caffee and tea with honey and sugar! Ye can boil too if you want. And if you dont like shared forks and plates, ye can easily buy plastic stuffs in Carmel market. There is a cool 24h shop 30 seconds to the building, too. Shared WC and showers were always clean, and there are two of both on private room floor (dormitory floor i dont know). Security is cool! The other folks were nice. It is situated in one of the best spots in Tel Aviv. Carmel market and the beach is also very close and it is too easy to walk till Jaffa, that you dont even recognize its about 30 minutes. Thx, guys! Next Year in Mugraby!
Floormates can be a little too noise with thin walls, but its absolutely easy to handle.
- friendly staff - great location
I have to give 100% negative opinion. Any good aspects of this hostel were negated by one major problem. B.E.D. B.U.G.S !!!!!!!!!!
Very simple accomodation, rather older furniture, but overall sufficient.
Kitchen very poorly equipped
The position, near the main promenade.
Very poor accomodation. Old furnitures, dirty, bad smell.
Great location - near from sea. Nice staff. If you need only space for sleeping, it´s very nice place for this price.
We have only problem - my blanket was dirty (probably it was washed, because it smelled good but looked like old and dirty).
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, big thanks!
