The location was great. Breakfast great. Tour company will come pick you up there Hotel assisted. I felt safe so don't be afraid to stay there.
The Hotel told me about the driver from the air port but I wish they had told me about the shuttle to save some money.
Visited jerusalem many times, one of best hotels I've stayed in. Very helpful friendly staff, loved them! Great value & location for old city. Definitely be back !
We placed the order the same day we arrived, The staff was very inviting and everybody looks like they are delighted to host and happy to have us. Nice fruit basket in room and a fresh breakfast suitable also for vegetrians. Included parking.
They were out of queen beds.
The best service i have ever got in a hotel in israel
I had a fantastic stay here for 12 days. I felt very at home here. the services like Wifi and breakfast were exellent. Altough the city is full of borders everywhere, this Hotel s borderless and just a short walk from the Old City. But Nirvana at the frontdesk is priceless and a great help for everybody and she makes you feel more then welcome. She made me feel like I was at home she helped me to arrange for daytrips aswell as concert. Thank you very much staff! All the best from Mr. Jos
The staff rigth from the front desk to the restaurant including the cleaning crew where friendly, polite, helpful and smily.
We where on the third floor and the restaurant is on the fourth floor, when they where setting the place in the morning we can hear ALL the noice.
Location, very close to old city. The staff are nice. Price is very reasonable.
Actually there was a cloud of dust in my bed. In east Jerusalem, so there will be no shop or restaurant still open after 20:00.
Good breakfast, nice breakfast room, close to Herod's and Damascus Gates
Slight "third world drain" smell in bathroom
Friendly and helpful staff.
Location of hotel was in a bad area. People always hassling us walking to hotel trying to force us to buy from them.
This hotel is fabulous in every way. The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcomed, appreciated and loved! The room I had was really very nice. It was modern, clean, bright and comfortable, the restaurant has delicious food at a fair price. With a terrific wrap around view. And of course the breakfast is amazing, generous and plentiful. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Simply fabulous. My stay was wonderful. Jaffa Gate (the main tourist gate) is 20-25 minutes away on foot. The main road is just 7 minutes west. This is also the road that the tram runs on. So the hotel is conveniently located near the tram stop (Shivti Israel). I stuck to the main road and bypassed the eye sores. Also The tram is perfect for getting to the main bus station. As well as some other parts of town. But there is only one tram line in Jerusalem. So buses are more likely to get you where you need to go. This a terrific spot for travelers that ride the bus from the hotel, take the tour then come back to the hotel. Excellent For the walkers & adventurers. Overall It was a very nice & pleasant stay. Thank you staff! You have a wonderful hotel and I really enjoyed my stay.
The neighborhood is a bit of an eyesore. But only 7 minutes walk to the west and you're on the main street. The area is old, crowded, with lots of garbage in the streets. As a solo traveler, no one ever bothered me. I NEVER EVER felt unsafe. But the locals are just not overly friendly to tourist. I get the impression that they tolerate the tourist, but really wish that they were somewhere else.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and generally clean. In fact the staff kept asking me if my room was ok. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel location was great for access to the old city.
The area does get a bit lonely at night and is a fair walk off busy main roads which isn't so comforting for solo female travellers. There are also limited alternate restaurant options nearby for dinner.
Clean, modern room and bathroom facilities. Excellent chumus and falafel on the breakfast buffet was a treat, also the soft spread cheese with zatar.
the hotel and room, seemed dark instead of "bright" because of the brown/dark decor. No English language channel on the TV, unless we missed it.
We really felt welcome in the hotel. The staff is very professional but not only that they are very friendly and helpful. Just a small example. First day in Jerusalem. I went to the reception in the lobby and asked what were the must sees of Jerusalem. The receptionist(Nirvana) told us to explore the first day maybe take the free tour at Jaffa gate and come back the next day to ask for more information. At the same time she handed over the City map and already pinpointed the most important sightseeing locations. That was really helpful and she explained some do's and don'ts as well. I really had the feeling that they were sincere at the hotel and not busy with trying to make you spend more money. Whatever you asked for they were ready to help you out at any time, day or night. The room was clean and everything was available to make yourself comfortable. Breakfast was great, there was enough to choose from. You will not leave the breakfast table feeling hungry. We enjoyed our stay and we recommend this hotel if you are looking for value for your money place to stay
There are some things which I did not like but these were only small things not even worth mentioning it
The staff was so courteous and friendly. The breakfast had a wide variety of food, even my husband who's vegan, found plenty to eat.
The beds were very hard. Situated in a very congested, cramped part of town. Although there is free designated parking, it is not the most ideal place to stay at if you have a car.
An excellent breakfast.helpful staff that went the extra mile.pristine cleanliness all over hotel.
Slightly down- at-heel location...no alcohol served on premises.
The staff at the National are so friendly. If you ask for anything they get it immediately. Probably one of the friendliest We have stayed in.Even the owner is helping out and my 88 yr old dad got a special hug from the Fallaha on the front desk. You know who you are! The location of the hotel is perfect for the old city.As for any trouble, there was none so don't let the rumours put you off.Great holiday
This is one of the best hotels in Jerusalem. Its location is superb, service is second to none and the restaurant on the 4th floor is relaxing place to eat and enjoy middle eastern food and hospitality. I will be back.
Staying at the National Hotel exceeded our expectations. Mohammed, Afnan, and Nirvana were always making sure we had everything we needed. They genuinely cared that we were comfortable. The food at the hotel was excellent, breakfast and the other meals also. We really loved shopping in the area, especially at Jimmy's Bizzare across the street. We also felt very safe visiting Israel and look forward to visiting again soon! It was a fantastic trip!
The staff at the front desk, particularly an exceptional woman named Nirvana, were among the most helpful and hospitable people I've ever encountered.
We cannot complain... Staff/location/service excellent. The breakfast was outstanding.. Would certainly stay there again with no hesitation.... Excellent value.. But what makes it it.. The decor and politeness of the staff
Staff were really wonderful Room very nice Even got fruit and water which we were not expecting. Free parking was great to have.
Location , although very close to old city .
Staff was helpful and very polite. Rooms were great and comfy.
Nirvana is very helpful and kind. It was perfect my staying there. The location is great! close to Damascus Gate, Old City.
the hotel is nice, rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and staff very kind and helpfull. It is placed in East gerusalem, the arab colourful part of the city, just 10 min walk from Erode's gate. Breakfast is quite tasty with good choice. Free fruit and water in the room has been a very nice surprice.Special thanks to Nirvana at front desk.
Everything was perfect!
