Matti is a fantastic host. He put together a wonderful fish dinner for us in our room with an hour notice. Compared to the high rise hotels on the Dead Sea, his rooms in a small village nearby was paradise! Would love to go back anytime!
More or less good location, quite place, not crowded at all
Dark rooms, not clean bed linen, not clean tableware
Very good location
Very friendly staff. Great location. Room was clean, complete, etc.
Very nice people, had long & interesting discussion with owners.
Room is small, but we did know it before coming, so OK
It's a small, friendly, staff including two brothers. They gave fantastic personal service and looked after my needs nicely, and they were quite warm about it too. I heard people have been coming to the D.S. lodge with some skewed expectations, which I found odd since the owner was good about sending me an email priming me with precisely what to expect, and what not to; it is important to note they do not take credit cards, but in my case they were good about letting me hitch a ride to the nearest cash machine had I needed it. They also give a great rate of exchange on your dollar, US and CAN in my case. This place reminds me of those mid level guest houses that I've stayed at in south america and thailand; they're modest, yes, but are totally amenable, comfortable, and both aesthetically and practically pleasing given the context. If one wants to stay in a grand palatial hotel with all the comforts of home in the middle of the dessert (which seemed too flamboyant for me) then go down the road. I was glad to have gotten the experience I did here.
It's not a dislike, but beach is not the one pictured. You can still have an EXCELLENT night dip, after all, I didnt go to the dead sea to fuss over the texture of the beach sand. It is more "industrial" in appearance than the rest of the other beach options but it's nice and private if that sort of thing matters to you.
Alon and Nadia are simply wonderful and really helpfull..it was a great say. thank you
The owner, Motti, is very forthcoming and a great host. The room was nice and clean.
The location is far from everything. It takes around a 20min walk to get to Zohar beach. There are no shops nearby.
Very friendly and helpful owner. Sea is very close, it's like a private beach. However, no facilities. So if you want to have a shower on the beach, go to Ein Bokek and be surrounded by many tourists. If you don't mind having a private beach and walking back to your own room for a shower, you picked the right place.
There is no restaurant or shop nearby. Bring some food before you go here as it's a bit far away if you don't have a car. The owner kindly offered to cook something though.
The room was fairly basic but had everything we needed. Good shower, good air con and the beds were comfortable. The owner also came by a couple times and filled our fridge with water and watermelon
When we arrived there was no one there to check us in. It took us 20 mins to get hold of the owner. When he arrived he was very hospitable. He also forget to give us bed covers and it took him a while to get them to us
Air conditioning, tv and wifi worked well.
We arrived at dead sea rooms and there were no signs indicating the place. We had to go door to door asking for directions. When we met the host and he showed us the place we were very disappointed: it looked NOTHING like the pictures. The place is small and the terrace looks like a junk yard. The room didn't have a hair dryier. The host found one for us and when i tried to use it it literally almost caught on fire. The window has no shades so good luck trying to sleep with the light coming from outside also during the night ( from street lights). Last but not least i'd like to spend a word about the location. The host says that it is 2 minutes walking away from the beach. True. What he fails to tell though is that the beach is under construction and that is forbidden to swimm there so you have to drive to another beach ( by the hotels) Overall horrible experience
The owner is very friendly and helpful, the room is very close to the sea and the area is very quiet and peaceful.
Motti was nice and brought us fruit and water. Rooms are great and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need, minus somewhere to buy food.
Location is awful. If you don't have a car DO NOT stay here. There is nothing around you, we had to walk through the hot sun for an hour to find a gas station where we bought gas station food for our two day stay. For some reason there is a no swimming allowed sign in front of the beach. We swam anyways; but power lines really ruined the view, and their buzzing killed the mood when i swam out there. We weren't aware just how far from EVERYTHING this place was and regretted staying here for that reason. At one point we were starving and walked along the road trying other hotels (the only nearby establishments) but none had restaurants. Luckily we bought cereal the day before so we had that for our meal :/
Quiet location away from large hotels but close to wveeything by car
Tiny room No breakfast provided Although clean inside, entrance from unkept alley
It is very quiet place.
Dead Sea is 2 minutes by walk, but officialy you cannot swim there. You must go to Ein Bokek.
Owner was nice and helpful. Place was clean. It has a cute little porch outside where you can drink your evening wine or your morning coffee. At night you can see the Jordanian lights shimmering on the other side of the Dead Sea, in the morning you can see the desert mountains. Neve Zohar has no store or restaurant (which you shouldn't expect if you check the size on the map), so come with a car. We did. And we enjoyed! :)
The Dead Sea lodge is a wonderful place to stay at for a relaxing get away. It's a simple and clean room tucked into a beautiful village right on the sea. It's not touristy at all, so you might even have to have the beach to yourself :) Motti is super welcoming and friendly. I came unprepared an he bought me food and gave me travel directions. I wish I could stay longer, I love how peaceful it is here.
50 meters from dead sea. Calm village.
Kitchen corner is just microwave, no glass, dishes, etc.
Very close to sea and clean and secure
Had to wait for owner upon arrival because no reception office/desk
Very clean and good location for traveling around Dead Sea
The owners were friendly and helpful within the negative constraints
Throughout six days the room was not cleaned and bins not emptied. There were no sheets to start with and then they just appeared in a bag hung on the door with some towels.
Host very kind ans ready To help. Room was super clean.
owner very helpful, we got welcome soup good WiFi
the room a bit small and simple
Very nice place and owner. Clean, got coffee and tea inside, sea very close.
If you want to swim - you need to go to Ein Bokek, which is quite close.
