Location is out of this world. 1 minute walk to dead sea. 3 minute drive to official beach with all facilities. Amazing views. Motti is a great host. Fabulous room, very complete setup. Yes, I will be going back.

Everything about it. Note to other travelers: the name of the hotel is called Dead Sea Lodge
February 20, 2015
The appliances in the room are old and not very clean, there are no shops close by and the e-mail you receive advising you of this is the day before arrival, not the day you book, not all people receive e-mail on their phones.
Owner and his wife are friendly

A bit old walls in bedroom, some kitchenware is old. The door at the bathroom did not shut properly.
Flat is very convenient with a small terrace in front of the house. Two rooms with good quality wi-fi internet. Bed is very comfortable. Motti is very helpful and friendly host. He provided us with all useful information about the region. We arrived late so Motti gave us some food, vegetables and fruits. He helped us to solve all arised problems. We think it is a very nice place to stay. It is a pity that it was so short time. I hope we will be back.

I expected to have a view of the Dead Sea according to the advertisement, but did not. It was difficult to locate the place (no signs).

We had a great stay! The owner is very accommodating, helpful, and so kind and sincere. We were looking for a more quieter stay at the Dead Sea, less commotion, and we found it at the Dead Sea Rooms. I would love to come back again soon.

there are no shower, umbrellas or toilet at the beach area
the owner bought fresh water, fruits and veg so i didnt need to go food shopping, the Dead sea rooms are close to the sea

Far from public beach. Dodgy area. Second room very, very small for same price. Terrace is dark with lots of debris.

There is nothing not to, like really !!!

The small cooker thing didn't work or perhaps I couldn't get it working a small complaint really, 400 schekels a night is a bit expensive but no other complaints thanks.
very cosy and clean there's a very quiet bar round the corner you can get a couple of beers and go back to your room and sit outside and relax. It's right alongside the dead sea.

Matti is a fantastic host. He put together a wonderful fish dinner for us in our room with an hour notice. Compared to the high rise hotels on the Dead Sea, his rooms in a small village nearby was paradise! Would love to go back anytime!

Very nice people, had long & interesting discussion with owners.

It's not a dislike, but beach is not the one pictured. You can still have an EXCELLENT night dip, after all, I didnt go to the dead sea to fuss over the texture of the beach sand. It is more "industrial" in appearance than the rest of the other beach options but it's nice and private if that sort of thing matters to you.
It's a small, friendly, staff including two brothers. They gave fantastic personal service and looked after my needs nicely, and they were quite warm about it too. I heard people have been coming to the D.S. lodge with some skewed expectations, which I found odd since the owner was good about sending me an email priming me with precisely what to expect, and what not to; it is important to note they do not take credit cards, but in my case they were good about letting me hitch a ride to the nearest cash machine had I needed it. They also give a great rate of exchange on your dollar, US and CAN in my case. This place reminds me of those mid level guest houses that I've stayed at in south america and thailand; they're modest, yes, but are totally amenable, comfortable, and both aesthetically and practically pleasing given the context. If one wants to stay in a grand palatial hotel with all the comforts of home in the middle of the dessert (which seemed too flamboyant for me) then go down the road. I was glad to have gotten the experience I did here.

Alon and Nadia are simply wonderful and really helpfull..it was a great say. thank you

The location is far from everything. It takes around a 20min walk to get to Zohar beach. There are no shops nearby.
The owner, Motti, is very forthcoming and a great host. The room was nice and clean.

There is no restaurant or shop nearby. Bring some food before you go here as it's a bit far away if you don't have a car. The owner kindly offered to cook something though.
Very friendly and helpful owner. Sea is very close, it's like a private beach. However, no facilities. So if you want to have a shower on the beach, go to Ein Bokek and be surrounded by many tourists. If you don't mind having a private beach and walking back to your own room for a shower, you picked the right place.

When we arrived there was no one there to check us in. It took us 20 mins to get hold of the owner. When he arrived he was very hospitable. He also forget to give us bed covers and it took him a while to get them to us
The room was fairly basic but had everything we needed. Good shower, good air con and the beds were comfortable. The owner also came by a couple times and filled our fridge with water and watermelon

We arrived at dead sea rooms and there were no signs indicating the place. We had to go door to door asking for directions. When we met the host and he showed us the place we were very disappointed: it looked NOTHING like the pictures. The place is small and the terrace looks like a junk yard. The room didn't have a hair dryier. The host found one for us and when i tried to use it it literally almost caught on fire. The window has no shades so good luck trying to sleep with the light coming from outside also during the night ( from street lights). Last but not least i'd like to spend a word about the location. The host says that it is 2 minutes walking away from the beach. True. What he fails to tell though is that the beach is under construction and that is forbidden to swimm there so you have to drive to another beach ( by the hotels) Overall horrible experience
Air conditioning, tv and wifi worked well.

The owner is very friendly and helpful, the room is very close to the sea and the area is very quiet and peaceful.
