Nof is not a luxury hotel (the facilities look like they're 1970s era), but it treats guests as if they're staying at a luxury place. They left me fresh fruit and quality chocolates as a complimentary gift upon checking in. The views from guest rooms are AMAZING--looking down Mt. Carmel into Haifa Bay. It's also a great location...Hanassi Street is a lively spot with good restaurants (I recommend Giraffe) and bars...and is only minutes away from a lookout point with a great view of the Bahai Gardens. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the place for folks looking to save a little money but still feel like they're staying in a quasi-luxury hotel. The place felt a little old. It could definitely use some remodeling. I also didn't like that I asked for a double/queen/king bed and got two singles pushed together (I only ended up sleeping on one...who wants to sleep on the big gap in the middle). Parking, while free, can be a bit tight out front.

It was centrally located to Baha'i gardens.Lounge was comfortable with piano player.Coffe bar service could improve. Money exchange service could improve. Lack of sitting space (chair comfort) in room. Electrical outlets poorly placed for utilization of coffee machine. No electrical outlet for hairdryer in bathroom.

The genuine warmth and personal touch of the staff. They responded to all our requests and it was a very homey place. I like that it is family run with the owner on the premises. We talked to two of the staff who said they had worked there for years and would not be anywhere else. That attitude was represented in how they treated the guests. Also, the breakfast each morning in the dining room was a real treat with wonderfully tasty food, that was fresh, and plentiful. The view of Haifa from our window was well worth the trip especially since we are Baha'i's and the Gardens and shrines were there to be seen each day all the way down Mt. Carmel to the Medeterranean Sea. It could use some updating of room facilites.

The breakfast was the only thing I liked. This hotel is too old and need to be remodel and the bed is not comfortable. I had a back pain and I couldn't sleep all night. The shampoo and body wash was not enough.

The location was reasonable, especially for visiting the Baha'i gardens and shrine. I was pretty disappointed in the hotel. They lost our booking, they didn't enforce the no-smoking policy on the floors with rooms so our room filled up with smoke from a neighbor's cigarettes, the food was really disappointing, and the staff wasn't particularly friendly.

The view is fantastic, the staff were helpful and the location is great for the Carmel Centre bars and restaurants. The metro station nearby makes it easy to get down the hill! The room, especially the bed was comfortable. It seemed a little dated decor wise, but this doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. The breakfast was nice but some of the vegetables didn't look all that fresh. There was an odd smoke smell in the room and corridors despite being a non-smoking hotel.

It's unpretentious, clean, convenient. Rooms quite adequate in size; bathroom rather small but otherwise fine. Good breakfast served. Staff friendly and helpful. The second time we stayed, a "welcome" plate of fresh fruit and chocolate was placed in our room--a nice touch (not the first time, however). The doorman was very helpful and kind with parking of our rented car. As noted, bathrooms are rather too small. Aside from breakfast, it was hard to figure out whether the hotel restaurants were available for evening meals. We were given information (when we inquired) only about a Chinese restaurant with a fixed menu, which was unhelpful to us as we're vegetarians and it was a meat menu.

The view is spectacular, the breakfast is good, and the room is adequate, so for the price it is really an excellent value. It would be very nice to have wireless in the rooms.

Staff was very friendly, price was affordable, great location. The room was clean but smelled of cleaning products, the room furniture/carpets/hallways looked very old and in quasi desperate need of renovation. We really appreciated the complimentary fruit platter in the room, but there was a moldy/rotten tangerine in there that was leaking liquid, which made me nervous about eating the rest.

The breakfasts were always something to look forward to each morning. The doormen were the nicest we have encountered. One in our party was in a wheel chair and they were always ready to help. We found that we did not get the Baha'i discount because we made our booking through Booking.com. That was very distressing. They didn't have wash cloths available.

I liked the personal approach of the Nof desk staff and the location -- on the Louis Promenade, directly above the Baha'i Terraces and Shrines. I also liked the view from the rooms across the bay to Akko. I liked the personal advice given by staff and the relaxed attitude. Nothing much to complain about. Breakfast was fairly ordinary but adequate. The hotel itself is dated and they charge much too much for the types of rooms that they rent out and the limited amenities offerred.
