Excellent staff; very helpful Incredible rooftop view of the old city Great location RIGHT outside the New Gate

very simple rooms (no TV, no hair dryer), but it's kind of fun to live like a nun for a few nights, I suppose :)

This property has a fantastic location and probably the best view of the Old City from the roof top Wine Bar. If I have to make a negative comment it would be that the breakfast was terrible. That said I would stay again and not eat breakfast there.

    The terrible breakfast.

    - Good location, outside the New Gate - Hotel looks good from the outside, nice rooftop bar.

The room prices are very expensive and for that amount of money the rooms and service were extremely poor: - tiny room - No TV - No wifi in the room - tiny bathroom. No hand towels. Only 2 small towels each - No additional pillows were given on request - No tea/coffee making facilities -No minibar/fridge - Only thick curtains in the room. Which meant that we couldn't open the curtains during the day as the inside of bedroom was visible from outside, so we couldn't leave the curtains open. they should havehad a curtain fillet. - Breakfast: quality of a 2 star hotel at the most. When I complained about the facilities, they told me it was a pilgrims' hotel. However, they didn't charge "pilgrims' prices" for the rooms !!! I asked to speak to the Manager, who never returned my calls. Extremely disappointing stay there.

    Location and facilties

Limited hours in the primary restaurant, which only include buffet service (though this is appropriate for a hostel).

Fabulous location and great rooftop bar. Rooms clean and comfortable.

The food for breakfast and in the cafe could be improved. Overall though this wasn't a major problem.

Proximity to the old city. Great roof top restaurant. An incredibly helpful Bishop's office on site. Wonderful atmosphere.

The basic Rooms are reasonably spartan but it was/ is a Franciscan guest house and it certainly has all that is needed. Hated having to leave.

Location perfect for visiting the old town of Jerusalem. Nice hotel but overpriced for what you get. Roof top terrace is really the best view of town and offers good wine selection. Food good and reasonably priced. Rooms clean and well decorated.

For the price very disappointed. Single beds only unless you pay for a suite. We paid 290USD per night which is expensive. No TV, no mini bar, no even a box of tissues and of course the single beds. No one helped with our bags. Expected more for this money. Reception staff not very friendly and not helpful. Bar and restaurant staff fantastic and very helpful.

Location. Breakfast. View from fourth Floor restaurant.

Spartan. No TV. On Booking.com you charged me $240/night (for 5 nights.) Upon check-in I was informed that the normal rate is $200/night. I was NOT pleased.

You can't stay at a better place during your pilgrimage to Jerusalem: Just opposite the Christian Quarter Gate, a five minutes walk to the Holy Sepulcher, 15 minutes to any other location in the Old Town. A wonderful, spiritual atmosphere, daily Holy Mass, interesting guests from all over the world and beautiful, comfortable room. The food is excellent, too, the prices are reasonable. Just enjoy your stay!

The only thing I missed was a fridge in the room. And nearly all rooms have showers, no bath tub...

Room size was great. Balcony off 1st floor room was huge. Great views. 4th Floor Wine and cheese restaurant was fantastic. Service was outstanding. The room did not have a TV which was awesome. Who wants to watch TV when you are so close to a historic monument Breakfast was awesome too

    can't think of any

The building is beautifully renovated, spacious, and dramatic in its architecture and setting. It's location is convenient for both the old and new parts of Jerusalem (right across from the Old City walls). The breakfast was expansive and tasty. There is free parking on site which a lot of the hotels in Jerusalem do not offer.

Being a historic hotel for pilgrims to the Holy Land, the rooms are a bit spartan (no t.v., for example), though nicely decorated.

Loved the location so close to the old city. This place has a special atmosphere, especially for Christians. The breakfast was very good and the roof top restaurant superb. Lived having the chapel within the building.

    Having to leave.

the location was excellent, right near the Old Town, and the building itself is amazing! the restaurant on the roof has the most beautiful view over Jerusalem. The room was fair size but with a big terrace overlooking the hotel entrance with fountain.

The restaurant service is quite slow and not really impressive, as well as the food itself - for the high price level that they charge.

I liked the location, the facilities, the view. My room was basic but very clean and comfortable.

Some members of the staff were not very friendly, and I had to wait for a half an hour to be served at the wine and cheese restaurant. No one paid any attention to me, even though I approached at least three waiters before finally I got what I wanted.

The old town of Jerusalem is across the street from the Hotel, which is very convenient. The Rooftop restaurant provides a magnificent view over Jerusalem. Our room was modern and quite. The bath was clean. The bed was comfortable.

The breakfast buffet is not on par with comparable hotels in this category. We have been missing fresh fruits; the coffee tasted ugly; the bread was like gum; selection on marmalade was very limited. Overall disappointing breakfast.
