In the heart of Jerusalem, the YMCA Three Arches Hotel probably has the best location in town. Opposite the famous King David Hotel, it is a 10-minute walk from the Old City.
Score from 1308 reviews Good
The Mount Zion Hotel is a 10-minute walk from the historic center of Jerusalem. It offers an outdoor pool and a traditional Turkish bath. The air-conditioned rooms feature an Oriental style.

In the heart of Jerusalem and within walking distance of the Old City, the Dan Panorama is a 4-star hotel that has air-conditioned accommodations and a great range of facilities.
Score from 373 reviews Very good
Location was great and the views and the food on the rooftop restaurant were amazing!
No hot water in bathroom (lukewarm at best), no wifi in room, no TV
Besides location, there is really nothing. Staff is not helpful, no welcome or introduction at check in. Room is small, bed uncomfortable, shower very weak. Breakfast is like Motel 6, not even have real juice. This is worst breakfast during our trip. A $50 per night hotel has much better breakfast.
Beautiful building and location very close to the Old City. The food served at Allegro Bistro Cafe was great. This hotel should be recommended to Cathoilic pilgrims
It was rother a high standard of Pilgrims' House than a hotel ! The twin room and the bathroom were very small. No TV, no mini bar, no coffee&tea facilities available. The rate of 290 usd we paid per night is much too much for this place.
perfect location to visit the old and new part of Jerusalem. You could walk to downtown, or visit the Church of Holy Sepulchre, or the big, modern shopping mall near Jaffa gate, all on foot. I don't know any other hotel that can be better located than Notre Dame. I was very happy with my choice. the cordial and welcoming staff, yummy breakfast. spacious rooms, Notre Dame is a great choice. I'm going to stay in Notre Dame when I visit Jerusalem again.
the room was excellent, but there was no coffee, tea. we arrived late at night in the cold, and I was hoping to be able to warm ourselves with hot tea. (Plus, daughter had a bit of cold) As there was no coffee machine, I went to lobby, but the restaurants and cafes were closed, and I had no way to get hot water. The staff provided me with a thermo with hot water, but the water wasn't enough for a sick child and two adults to get through the night. Notre Dame is, by definition, a 'guest house' for pilgrims and not a 'hotel,' and that's why they say they don't offer mini-fridge or coffee in the room. But then, the price of the hotel or its other amenities are no different from other hotels, so why not offer hot tea and coffee? Other than that, I loved everything about Notre Dame.
great location just outside the New Gate of the Old Town, impressive old stone building, peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, Christmas celebrated at the hotel with mass honoring Christ as alternative to the "present oriented" christmas celebration at home.
when we arrived in the night the hotel had made a mistake and instead of a 2+2 family room we received a 2+1 family room, and this was only corrected on the next day!
Location is perfect!!!
Loving kindness of the priests and helpful servants of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
This was my second stay at Notre Dame and I wasn't disappointed. The staff is exceptional. Courteous, helpful, outgoing and always pleasant. The wait staff Aline and Wael are awesome as are Rami (?) and Walif(?) at reception. What I'll never forget was attending mass on Christmas morning and being invited to participate by proclaiming the first reading.
I look forward to when there will be a shuttle/transportation to the Magadala Center and wish the gift shop had operating hours more convenient for hotel guests. Most of the time I left before they penned and returned when they were closed. There were many things my friends from USA wanted from the shop. Keep in mind that the gift shop is not run by the hotel but the space is rented by another company.
Everything! The chapel The bistro The roof top view The roof top bar The room
Wifi does not work in rooms (by design) No tv in room
Very good location to the old city. Staff was efficient and friendly except for Walid
Walid seemed to think my questions were a bother
Across the road from the old city in Jerusalem... this is quite a gem. Rooms are clean and well kept. Meals were very good with good variety. Amazing views on the rooftop of the hotel.I always stay here when it is not booked out and I am never disappointed. I took a group last week and all were equally pleased with their visit.
Service was very friendly with the exception of one staff in the restaurant at the top who felt the need to be a bit rude but maybe he was having a bad day.
Great location close to Old City, rooftop restaurant has fantastic ambience and view of Old City, very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room
Pillows could be better
Great Location. Opposite the New Gate of The Old City. Views from the rooftop restaurant and bar were spectacular
Almost a perfect place to stay. I really did not mind not having a TV in the room but I believe that would be an issue for the others.
I wish they at least had a coffee maker and a TV in the room. Also suggest that they have more options for tour contacts.
Excellent staff; very helpful Incredible rooftop view of the old city Great location RIGHT outside the New Gate
very simple rooms (no TV, no hair dryer), but it's kind of fun to live like a nun for a few nights, I suppose :)
A beautiful place to stay. conveniently located, safe too in the current environment.
nothing , although one member of the party missed tv in the room!
This property has a fantastic location and probably the best view of the Old City from the roof top Wine Bar. If I have to make a negative comment it would be that the breakfast was terrible. That said I would stay again and not eat breakfast there.
The terrible breakfast.
- Good location, outside the New Gate - Hotel looks good from the outside, nice rooftop bar.
The room prices are very expensive and for that amount of money the rooms and service were extremely poor: - tiny room - No TV - No wifi in the room - tiny bathroom. No hand towels. Only 2 small towels each - No additional pillows were given on request - No tea/coffee making facilities -No minibar/fridge - Only thick curtains in the room. Which meant that we couldn't open the curtains during the day as the inside of bedroom was visible from outside, so we couldn't leave the curtains open. they should havehad a curtain fillet. - Breakfast: quality of a 2 star hotel at the most. When I complained about the facilities, they told me it was a pilgrims' hotel. However, they didn't charge "pilgrims' prices" for the rooms !!! I asked to speak to the Manager, who never returned my calls. Extremely disappointing stay there.
The restaurant on the roof.
No aircondition in the room
Location and facilties
Limited hours in the primary restaurant, which only include buffet service (though this is appropriate for a hostel).
Fabulous location and great rooftop bar. Rooms clean and comfortable.
The food for breakfast and in the cafe could be improved. Overall though this wasn't a major problem.
Proximity to the old city. Great roof top restaurant. An incredibly helpful Bishop's office on site. Wonderful atmosphere.
The basic Rooms are reasonably spartan but it was/ is a Franciscan guest house and it certainly has all that is needed. Hated having to leave.
Location perfect for visiting the old town of Jerusalem. Nice hotel but overpriced for what you get. Roof top terrace is really the best view of town and offers good wine selection. Food good and reasonably priced. Rooms clean and well decorated.
For the price very disappointed. Single beds only unless you pay for a suite. We paid 290USD per night which is expensive. No TV, no mini bar, no even a box of tissues and of course the single beds. No one helped with our bags. Expected more for this money. Reception staff not very friendly and not helpful. Bar and restaurant staff fantastic and very helpful.
Location. Breakfast. View from fourth Floor restaurant.
Spartan. No TV. On Booking.com you charged me $240/night (for 5 nights.) Upon check-in I was informed that the normal rate is $200/night. I was NOT pleased.
Perfect location, friendly, spiritual atmosphere
no rooms with bath tub
