As I didn’t notice the remark at the Booking page about the renovation of the reception, I was very surprised by the first view of the hotel. There is in fact an ongoing extensive renovation of the entire ground floor, so the hotel looks like a construction place. The entrance is on the side, the floor is covered with paper and building material was stapled everywhere. So don’t count on the nice entrance. The breakfast room is probably next to be renovated as it has a very simple standard just now. The renovation is ongoing until the end of July. The room was very nice with a sea view, however there is a busy street in between the hotel and the sea. The windows where dirty, and an old layer of dust covered the floor under the bed. The bathroom had all the amenities but there is place only for one person. The price was good for the standard of the room, but don’t expect more. Choose the hotel for the price and for the location.
We booked the hotel for two nights because of the location, price and positive reviews on rooms. Location is at the very end of the street along the beaches, 5 minutes walk to the beach and nightlife along the beaches. It was also very close to the city centre, just a 10 minutes walk. The room was quite small but as expected very comfortable, with new standard of the furniture and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was also nice with fresh salads, a couple of white cheeses and good coffee from espresso machine, by the way available all day. Guests were middle-aged couples, no children. The price was good for the standard of the room and location.
