Good location and free snorkeling. Comfortable beds. Terrible coffee at breakfast. Free internet but worthless in room. WiFi constantly failed. Only worked in the lobby. |

The hotel is beautiful with great views of the Red Sea. There is plenty for the kids to do, including Sony Play Stations, free internet, snooker, shuttle hockey and three swimming pools of various depths. There is free internet and free international calls. The rooms in the Shangri La section are magnificent. There is a shuttle to the city. Management staff are unapproachable, unhelpful and dishonest. As the hotel is on a mountain, you need to catch a buggy (tuk-tuk) to get from your room to anywhere else in the hotel. The hotel is not near a swimming beach, nor near shops or restaurants - you have to drive. |

Wow! The cottage/room was incredible, with space for us and our 2 kids; the pool was outstanding, and all across the street from the beach and oceanarium - and far enough from the main drag to allow us some peace. The breakfast was absolutely the best we've had so far in Israel, Head and shoulders above all else. There was nothing to not like. |

Good rooms near the cost, above of famous Aquarium. 500m of walk to the beach area. It is good to stay when have own car for transportation to other places in Eilat The beach is not so good in match with 5 star hotel. The cottadges are on the hills: transportaion with the tuk-tuk (club car lift) takes time. |

The room was very good (good size, superb view, very comfortable and clean). The hotel is beautiful. Staff extremely unpolite and unprofessional. Total lack of willingness to provide basic assistance to guests. Reminds me of the (poor quality) hotels in Disneyland, with people fighting for their breakfast and for a place in the sun, and staff eating their sandwiches while serving the tables (i am serious), all that while loud - and bad taste - music plays contaminating the otherwise beautiful setting of the swimming pool. Definitely not a good option for couples in search of a peaceful stay. Overpriced. Expanding a bit, Eilat itself was a disappointment with the exception of the dolphinarium and their relaxation swimming pools. |

The setting is pretty and also close to the oceanarium, glass bottom boat and Red Sea snorkeling. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Initial service was very poor, with a don't care attitude. Had to wait 30 minutes for a porter (You do need one). |

The layout of the resort is good, the family rooms were very spacious and with great views. The pools are great, as is the fact the there is free WiFi throughout the resort. The staff could do with being more attentive, particularly during meals |

The rooms were well appointed; the pool/dining areas were very nice and well located with a great view of the Red Sea. Availability of spa services also appreciated. Parking was a bit tight. Our rooms did not really have a sea view (as advertised). |

The view is wonderful; the rooms are specious and clean with a balcony. A nice place to relax. It gives the feeling of a village. The breakfast was very good. The beach is about 5 min walk from the hotel. I highly recommend on this hotel. However, one must know that not from all the rooms there is a view to the sea. |

The breakfast buffet was good and had lots of variety. The lobby offers free international calls. The hotel seemed to be poorly organized and managed. It took us over two hours to check in with surly staff and we were not given an ocean view as promised. It took quite some time and unfriendly discussion to get the rooms changed to what we had been promised. Further discussions with other staffers and guests revealed their dissatisfaction with their employers and their experiences. Pool hours are limited, it closes at sunset. Management told us that that is on their posted information, although nowhere was this mentioned on the Expedia site. |

The hotel is a series of small houses built into the hillside overlooking the Red Sea. Didn't feel like a typical hotel. Amazing views. All rooms seem to have a great view. Wonderful breakfast. Free use of bikes which was very helpful. Close to all the snorkeling/ scuba diving sites It was a less than 10 min car ride from town, which we liked. Quite, relaxing. |

Great view from our room. comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Not on the beach and not associated with nice beaches. Definately not a 5 star on service or facilities. Pool deck under construction during our stay so jack hammer running. Unorganized staff, rude and not helpful. Door key not working and could not access the room on a few occasions, once before an early morning trip. Poor management. Received a letter suggesting we could clear the bill and check out the night before to save time. Proceded to do so as we were flying out early, however after coming down to the desk at 9pm, after being there 4 additional times due to room key issues were told we couldnt as the system couldnt handle early checkouts? Asked to speak to a manager after continuous problems and the clerk said he was the manager and he could do nothing. Next morning I was told he lied and was not a manager. Tuk tuks are loud and do not come to help on request. |

Compared to other hotels in Eilat, the Orchid was the best value for money, location, size and services/facilities. The breakfast buffet is pretty amazing. Closure of swimming pool at 5pm - with about 30 people still wanting to swim and loud music in general areas, including swimming pool |

The room was clean and comfortable, and the view was just stunning (4 countries and the most of the Golf of Eilat). This was our lack, however, because not all rooms have a view over the sea. The best sites for snorkelling and diving are just around the corner. If your cabin is situated high, you can be taken by a small electrical car tuk-tuk up to your cabin. Otherway, you can climb many steps up. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel is obviously not siutable for those who seek walkings, hikings or evening strolls, because it is very far from the city in the middle of nowhere. You can take a bike, but again there is no distinations to ride. The beach which the hotel guests can use free of charge is like 500 m away, is small, rocky and not very clean. We did not use the swimming pool, but it seams to be very small. |
