Palatin Hotel Jerusalem    

Very good price/confort/location compromise. We spent 2 nights @Palatin.

Location. Atmosphere in breakfast room. Possibility to use facilities for tee kofee and snacks round the clock.

At arrival can not pay by credit card for reason no answer from the bank. Pay for one night cash. Next day pay balance by credit card normally, but it cost nervs.

Location is great. The night front desk guy, I think his name is Tom, was fantastic--helpful, friendly, got a snack for my teen late at night, etc. Because it's on a square, it's actually pretty quiet at night, even though you are in the heart of the city.

Parking was really challenging; there are lots not far away, but finding the place and the parking lots at rush hour in the dark was not fun. We had a quadruple room for our family and it was very tight. The bathroom feels like it's in the middle room of the room with some walls around it. I suggest this for a family that really gets along well and won't be spending much time in the room.

Reception - friendly guy, understands what I need, helpful, gave recommendations I could use.

A bit small room, but enough for a couple of days to visit the city

Perfect location, only10 minutes walking from jaffa and damasco gates to the old city; very close to shopping/bar/restaurant area (you will not need to take taxi or tram to go around). Nice and very confortable room, good breakfast for all kind of taste. If you plan to visit also the surrounding area the hotel will offer you several organized daily tours (dead sea,masada etc. )! Reception 24h.

Excellent location (15 min from the Old City and 30 min from the central bus station), very frienly staff. Our room was small, but cozy.

The hotel is quite old and requires a cosmetic repair.

In the room there was no kettle and a TV-set. We are pensioners, and wanted to be in accommodation without extra expenses for dinner.

Close to the old city. Nice breakfast.

Impossible to get to by car. It is located in a pedestrian area. This was not explained on the web site. There is a public parking nearby. Once you knew, then it was easy to get to the hotel. Top floor, where we stayed, was run down, filthy carpetting in the hall, damaged doors, etc.

Its location near by the pedestrian street in Jerusalem centre. Not far away from the old city. The friendly atmosphere and the courtesy of the people. Quotient quality/price is very good.

Elderly people have difficulty with your staircases.

The location is great only 10 minutes from Old City. The staff, especially Eddie on the front desk, were very helpful.

The place needs to be refreshed. The carpets in the halls and the rooms are worn and dirty, the bathrooms are in need of maintenance. The morning breakfast is very basic and gets a little boring if you stay more than 3 days.

The breakfast, the balconys and the location.

Too many things: depending on the concierge, you could get plenty of information and friendly treatment...or the opossite (for example, regarding to limited services during Shabbat) It is extremely expensive (and I mean EXTREMELY) for the services provided: the room was really small (even though we got the only balcony available) and the bathroom is even smaller (with a transparent door!!!) Make long story short: they charge you like a 5 star hotel, providing services of a 2 star hotel.

Nothing

The hotel has a great location only. The Hotel don't have elevator and you need to carry your lugagge 1 floor to the reception, and then 1, 2 or 3 floors to your room. The rooms located in the first floor was small but nice (simple and confortable) but we have the room in the first floor, and all of them was very small, the bathroom measure 65cm x 65cm (Who can take a shower there? Ratatouille only. For USD 25 more you can find a better hotel.

Good location: close to Ben- Yehuda street, 15 min in foot to the Old City, 2 min to the bus stop. Breakfast is normal, if you are not very fond of food. Friendly and positive staff. Good place to stay for 2-3 nights to see the city

Unfortunatelly no normal coffee for breakfast. Strange carpets in rooms, they look old and dusty, it's not good about sanitary

The location is perfect, being at the bottom of Agrippas, between King George St and Jaffa St. You're....... - 1-2 minutes walk from the tram - 1 minutes walk from either King George, or Jaffa St - 3 minutes walk from Ben Yehuda St - 5 minutes walk to Machane Yehuda market (best place to get fresh food) The breakfast was your typical Israeli fare with fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, cereal, eggs, etc. It was perfect for my wife and I. We loved the little balconies you could eat at. The staff on the whole were very friendly. Our room had aircon and a ceiling fan, both of which were thoroughly appreciated after coming back from walking around all day in the heat.

The rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms even smaller. I have very broad shoulders, and even still my wife and I were fine, but if you are of the larger variety, you may be a bit squished. The plumbing seems a bit "old", in the way that I discovered the sewage ran through the same pipe as the shower drain. When I opened the shower drain I could see it about 12cm below. This meant that the smell came up through the drain and made the bathroom stink. A quick and effective remedy was to simply shift the bin over the drain when the shower wasn't being used. Remember this tip if you stay here ! "Double beds" equals two single beds put together, so watch out for the inevitable and ever-growing split between you and your partner as the beds slowly shift apart.
