There is some highway noise. We also heard the calls of the mating peacocks. If you want to explore the area in depth, you would need a car. But for an overnight stop without a car, they are willing to pick you up at the train station.
The host and hostess went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. In just a short time, we felt like friends. The place is very unique, an organic farm in a little farming belt between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, close to the airport. There are chickens, rabbits, and wild peacocks. We got a tour of the farm and an explanation of the high quality olive oil operation, and we were able to explore some farming areas nearby. The breakfast was huge and delicious, and we got to eat outside in yard.
