comfort, size of the apartmente, silence, breakfast, very clean
Big clean number; close to train station, lots of buses from nearest bus stop let one go to almost any part of Haifa; good breakfast; good wifi.
Technical noises made it a bit difficult to sleep.
Response from the staffs
Everything... Port Inn is a hidden gem. Wonderful place to stay in Haifa
Friendliness of the staff. Clean and comfortable
The staff is so friendly, the equipment is so clean, the location is so good.
A little bit expensive.
We appreciated the welcoming and the location of the hotel : near to bus and train station; near to restaurants. The staff made us comfortable and expalined us all we could do in the city. Our room was clean and tidy, with a balcony. The bathroom was ok. The common spaces were comfortable, with an adorable garden.
No negative points!
We stayed only one night, but we liked it very much. It was clean and the room was wide enough .for a family of five persons to stay comfortably. The kitchen was very well equipped. We highly recommend it. Most attractions are in a walking distance.
Pleasant and helpful staff, clean rooms and grounds, nice little garden that's well maintained. Although a bit spartan, our room had everything we needed. Tasty breakfast. Overall, a very good experience; wish we could stay longer.
Nearby parking may be hard to find, though we got lucky. Not the best neighborhood to walk around at night.
Going to Port Inn is like visiting friends: they make you feel welcome. Although the sitting room buzzes with backpacking youngsters (nice to hear their stories in so may languages) the nights are quiet. The Inn is super clean, the rooms are simple with good beds and the airconditioner works like a charm. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They take their time to answer questions and they do it with smiles that are genuine. Breakfast is nice and the garden pretty. In other words: we were very happy to stay there and we would certainly go back next time.
The only minus has nothing to do with the Inn itself, but the location could be a bit daunting for women on their own. However, we heard that the city is working on making the area more comfortable to walk around in.
The garden was beautiful, the breakfast was good, the room was comfortable and the area was quiet. Optional parking was a bonus.
The room had a weird smell, the wi-fi was not strong enough to reach our room (but could be reached in the lovely living rooms).
Good location, very nice and helpfull staff, tasty breakfast
Common kitchen - no fridge, glasses etc in the room
Firstly, the staff was incredibly helpful with everything I needed. The breakfast was the best! You stored my medicine which needed refrigeration. You had a laundry next door. Your garden was beautiful. My room was very comfortable and you kept it clean. You had an ironing board and iron. You sold Baha'i items for me to take home. You drew me a map to get to the train station. And I loved that you saved my reservation without my having to pay until I got there.
I wish you were located next to the Shrine of the Bab but you cannot help that and the walk there was very healthful.
the friendly and helpful owners and staff, the fresh breakfast, the proximity to the highway, which made the drive in and out of the city very easy.
The streets started ecoming empty towards evening, quite unpleasant to walk around at the end of the day.
The wonderful staff
It was our first cruise from Haifa nad we arrived the night before. The outside is non-descript but the inside setting is surprising - art on wall flowers everywhere, and a good breakfast. All at a good price. Highly reco if you are catching a cruise , etc.
Best place in Israel :-)! We had a wonderful stay, lovely staff, quiet & spotless rooms & area, great atmosphere, central & close to everything with a beautiful garden & delicious breakfast!
Breakfast!! great garden always helpful staff
The room was good, working A/C and wifi. you get free coffee and tea that's really nice. also the guest garden is really welcoming.
breakfast was not frish. Cheese was moldy, so i didn't try out the fish to avoid stomach problems. The olive oil which I put onto the mozarella salad tasted really rancid. but the rest was ok.
If you wonder what “Home away from home” means, stay at ‘Port Inn’ and you’ll understand fully. Good atmosphere, kind and helpful stuff. Joanna – on behalf of Helen Ruben and me - Thank you!!!
The garden is love. I could spend a whole day there drinking coffee (it's free actually). Offers everything that average tourist demands for.
Old and very basic furniture in a small room (not a problem for us though). Micro-shower with no borders: the water floods the whole bathing zone easily. Te place is not that easy to find.
Staff was very friendly AC worked well
The hotel was very difficult to find The girl at reception was unable to help us find the hotel over the phone, but eventually after 15-20 minutes she found a guy who guided us to the hotel. Almost no hot water late at night
I had a wonderful stay at Port Inn. The place has great atmosphere and has all the facilities you need. Very Friendly and helpful staff. Good location (attractions and public transportation). Magical garden. 24/hours hot water (not common in Israel in budget accommodation)
Very friendly staff/family also very helpful. Loved outdoor garden. We lucked out with a balcony in our room.
Haifa has a ways to go in making the port area decent. The Port Inn was a bright spot.
