Nice rooms, great breakfast
Would like free wifi in room, not just in lobby
Some staff were really helpful.
Some morning staff were limit rude. Air conditioning wasnt working last day
the large lobby, good sized restaurant and generous breakfast
carpet is old and dusty and the corridors smelled of cigarette smoke
Staff at the front desk are helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is excellent, and so are the breakfasts and dinners in the hotel.
Great place to move around Jerusalem. Friendly & helpful staff.
Dinner hours a litte short, please up till 10pm.
The location plus the lobby was always crowded full of life and light. The restaurant staff were very attentive chief in the morning actually happy to cook omelette. Make sure to get balcony best view in Jerusalem.
The staff at the desk actually acted like they could not care less or that u were bothering them.
The exterior is lovely with cascading flower boxes on the balconies facing the main street. The hotel was undergoing some renovation so it was difficult to assess the lobby. It is small. This feels more like a boutique hotel. Our room was a nice size as was the bathroom. I loved looking out over the city from the balcony. I would stay here again. The hotel is very well situated to take transportation or to get a taxi. Two excellent restaurants next door.
We felt there was not enough help behind the bar/snack area in the lobby. And the people who were there occasionally, were not knowledgeable. Poor selections!! There was inadequate help behind the desk to help or answer questions. The dining room selections for breakfast were profuse. I would have liked 2 coffee stations. There was always a log jam and they ran out. Also would have enjoyed croissants and/or muffins in addition to bread.
The selection of the food is better than any other location, but one must be careful not to mix certain foods together to prevent illness.
The elevators were under construction and our room was next to the elevators. So at 10am we here drilling and jack hammering and it drove us insane by 10:30... Recommend leaving the hotel by ten so you don't feel any headaches...
The restaurant was delicious
The room smelled gross The elevator was horrible The air conditioner was bad The bathroom was old and dingy
The Location & the Breakfast & the Staff .
A bit too noisy & the beds can be more comfortable ..
No wifi in the room, possibility to buy wifi acces in room for 10 $, but work only for one device. Mini bar was empty. .. really strange for 4 stars hotel.
Too geared up for jews. Gives you the feeling that you are a second class citizen.
Well positioned, large room with balcony good mid-week value. Lots of goodies, newspaper, chocolates, fruit, and wine, all made for a very enjoyable stay.
Too few lifts with long waits.
friendly staff good value good location
stayed here many times and always a problem with lifts out of service
Location, comfort, breakfast
No internet in the rooms, poor internet available for the rate price
Breakfast, balcony, central location, room was big enough and had a safe and a fridge
Double room had 2 twin beds pushed together despite our request for one big bed, elevators were busted, parking was sketchy and not free and only a few spots, no bell service, concierge wasn't very helpful
The staff were friendly & helpful. The food & restaurant service were good.
I asked for a room close to the lift as I am disabled; it was not close enough for me. In addition one of the 3 lifts was out of order the whole time and another had recurrent faults. The third lift only went to the 4th floor & I was on the 5th floor until I complained & was transferred to an inferior room, which would have benefited from extra glazing because of traffic noise..
The staff treats you as if you are a guest in their home. They are the best I have ever encountered even in 5 star more expensive hotels. They truly care to please you.
The rooms are a bit small like many big city hotels. Their shower in the one handicap room should have solid glass doors to prevent flooding the room. No ramp to the dinning room.
The professional courtesy of the staff. Outstanding.
We were there during the recent renovation in the Main Lobby. Somewhat inconvenient.
The location, the staff, the breakfasts... all very good. We had one of the best views! Room number 703 has a balcony and great views over the old city and most of Jerusalem. The elevator only goes to the 6 floor though as there are only 5-7 Suites on the 7 floor. Very reasonable rates though. Very good location. We loved it... We also loved that there was a small wine store (very nice people there) and Super Sol (a grocery) right across the street.
They were under construction and there were large groups of not well behaved kids. This is not the hotels fault and the only complaint was lack of elevators. It looks like they were fixing this problem though. If you are looking for a ton of great amenities, this might not be for you, however, if you are looking for a comfortable bed with access to everything, this is a great place.
Convenient location, clean rooms.
There is no free internet access, even in the lobby. Free parking is very limited (just few spots), so you have to use parking for extra money.
Property still offers comfort at a certain level which is unchanged and certain key members of personnel retain that personal touch which is essential in keeping satisfied clientele.
They have taken all the warmth out of the lounge area by removing the carpeting and replacing it with cold, soul-less tiling. They did not replace the upholstery (the cheapest option) and so the armchairs look worn and dated side by side with brand new tiled flooring. One hopes this will be remedied shortly. The prices in the dining room have soared from what they were 3 years ago and the standard of meals produced has gone down. As a professional food critic, this alarmed me and the way I were "run after" to purchase a bottle of wine despite having finished dining was not a highlight of my stay.
Courteous staff, front desk is very efficient, good food, clean dining room
Coffee service could be better, lack of ice machines is annoying, bar service inadequate could be mitigated by having coffee/tea in rooms.
room had musty smell when door to porch was closed
