We were looking for a place to stay for Shabbat that didn't require us to navigate the hustle and bustle of downtown Jerusalem. Ramat Rachel offers a superb Shabbat program, including all 3 meals in a comfortable setting. The meals are served buffet style and the offerings seem to be without end. The hotel is within easy walking distance of at least 2 Shuls, including Lindenbaum and Shai Agnon (where we went). Before and after Shabbat it is easy to get to downtown on the #7 bus.
Wifi access is limited.
Rooms were very comfortable, clean and bright. Beautiful view. Mealtimes well organised with a good selection of tasty food. Staff helpful and efficient.
No WiFi in rooms only in lobby.
The pool was great, but quite a walking distance from the hotel. You cannot enter it from the hotel. Breakfast was good, but very 1980s and simple. Staff was friendly most of the time.
We book a room for 4 people and paid $300 per night, not cheap. The room was very small, but had 4 beds. The wardrobe was tiny. No soaps and shampoos in the room, although we asked for it. Bed was not very comfortable. There were huge groups there, including a group of adults with developmental problems. It did not bother us, but some people do not want to pay this sums and feel they are in some kind of institute. The hotel is quite far from the city as well. Not good value for money.
for the price i paid it is fair
the place needs a little bit of cleaning
Location, kindness of staff.
Sadly room was only ready at 21:30 on Saturday. Arrived at 15:00. Long wait!
We were ther for a wedding and we thought it would be easier but found the hotel really dated and just ok
It needs updating and it wasn't the cleanest place
Location. Food was good.
have stayed here many times but was disappointed with cleanliness and bedroom needed refurbishment.Staff at reception were lacking basic knowledge of the area when asked for help in directions.
The room, the location, the food
Perfect hotel for touring and relaxation. Pool area will be nice when it's finished. Rooms far excel much more expensive hotels.
