The location to city centre was good - the lounge area was nice, the room was nice, but small - the chocolate and fruit was a nice touch The internet connection was very bad, very expensive and the hotel did not seem at all concerned about this - I should think that they would be more concerned as it represents their service. In this day and age I expect internet services to be free at a hotel of this expense. I also felt the hotel was too 'American' - the staff was pleasant but only to the extend of expecting a tip for everything done or requested - did not fell 'comfortable here

The concierge staff, specifically Eyal went far above and beyond his duties. The front desk staff was helpful too. The free shuttle into town was great as the hotel is not walking distance from the shopping/site seeing places we wanted to go. The spa and breakfast buffet were top rate. The buffet staff needs more training. The small restaurant staff needs a lot more training. There was a strange smell in the hotel on the 7th and 8th floors the whole stay. Towels were old and not in sufficient amount. Soap and shampoo were not up to international standards.

I just like the hotel, its design, staff and location. I find the Dan hotels are to my liking in all these respects. I was happy to see that since my last visit and previous comments coffee making facilities now appear in each room. The internet facilities are lousy and the price is completely unjustified. I believe this should and can be a free facility and where there is a choice of comparable I will always go to those that do so. Here the internet facility is sourced out which makes it worse. This is the second time I couldn't get on the internet while on a visit. I spent one and a half hour talking to the internet people. Twice a guy said he would phone back in ten minutes and when I called back half an hour later found he had forgotten. The second guy I spoke the third time found there was a fault on the floor. All I got was a refund for the day but no compensation for the time lost. The service is pathetic and at $20 a day - dau light robbery.

I like the style of the place and comfort. Last time I was there just when Dan acquired the place I had a number of concerns but they for the most part were taken care of. The bathrooms continue to have slipups - this time the sink didn't really drain. I find the internet charges a bit excessive

Breakfasts are superb. They used to have a free van that left two or three times a day to downtown and had pick up points for the return. They have reduced this to one downtown trip to the Jaffa Gate and no pickups for the return. For an isolated hotel the cost of taxis to and from raise the cost of the stay significantly above the room rate.

The new renovations in the most important public areas are excellent: it will be interesting to return when they are complete. Our room was very comfortable but had one or two minor and fairly insignificant glitches. The location just 5 minutes from the light railway ( free to use: Nov 2011) makes travel within the city very easy. Staff were all very helpful. Catering fairly standard for this class hotel in Jerusalem, but choice and quality could be improved. Restaurant staff could be more attentive.

The food at the breakfast and Shabbat buffets was amazing!!! Both in selection and quantity. Until visiting Israel, I had never commented to a waiter on a delicious dish only to have the chef come out with the recipe and instructions (personal)on how to make it! This is the Dan, and this is Israel! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with amenities and fruit basket on arrival. Pool was great with fun activities for the children. Staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again, as well as recommend it to other travelers.

Staff were very helpful! Room was aging but adequate. Hotel prices for food and drinks were reasonable and not overpriced. The city lightrail stopped right across the street fron the hotel and went everywhere you could possibly need to go in the city for 6 NIS

The staff were very friendly. The staff responded efficiently when we told them the problem with the electricity short circuit in the room. Our room for three persons was of a good size with sofa and coffee table. The buffet breakfast was not catered for western taste. The breakfast had salad, cheese and marinated fishes. Age under 16 was not allowed in the indoor pool. We had black out because of the electric circuitry in the room.

none The comment on Booking.com is incorrect, this hotel is very dirty and I will not recommend anyone to stay here. Also room service stops at 10:30pm, this is rediculous at a luxury hotel.

The Dan Jerusalem was a much better value than comparable hotels in the city, perhaps due to its relatively out-of-the-way location on French Hill, next to Hadassah Har HaTzofim. It is an elegant hotel, and the spa facilities were very clean and pleasant. The lobby and lounge were very nice. The air in the hotel is canned, it seems to be recirculated through a ventilation system that is not properly cleaned, and so the air was stuffy and hard to breathe. We had trouble spending time in our hotel room for that reason, and this is something that really needs to be improved.

The lobby was quaint, The location and parking was good. There were building works all day, the noise was irritating, the food was terrible, the spa was closed until 4pm. The rooms were ancient. The whole hotel was such a mess. 4 star? More like 2* Very disappointing.

The staff did try and sort out our problems as best they could! Breakfast was good. The fact that we had such a short stay and we spent the majority of our first day changing rooms four times especially as neither of us had been well. We were freezing cold at night in the final room as well.

I enjoyed and was impressed by the buffet breakfast. The location was convenient. Size of room and its furnishings. I didn't like the high cost of using the hotel laundry facility, when I could use the self-serve laundramat down the street for a fraction of the cost. I also didn't like having to pay for the use of internet facilities and the high cost of these facilities.
