Abraham Hostel is in Davidka Square, near one of Jerusalem's most famous markets. All rooms provide free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a private bathroom and a fridge.
Score from 600 reviews Very good
1) we were able to check in one hour earlier than check in time. 2) 5 minutes walk to Damaskus Gate, 15 minutes walk to Jaffa Gate. 3) no elevator but staff helps you with luggage. 4) breakfast was fine: pita, hommus, vegetables, cheese, ham (tastes like paper though), cereal, jam, tea, coffee. It was enough for me as I ususally don't have breakfast at all. 5) room and bathroom rather clean but furniture was very old. 6) my friend's SD card were full and we tried to copy photos to flash drive using computer in common area. We were so miserable and unsuccessful that one guy from staff decided to give my friend brand new SD card. For free.
1) very dirty street and market nearby, seems that street is never cleaned at all. 2) no cheap supermarkets nearby, just overpriced stores for tourists. 3) weak wifi signal. 4) sometimes vegetables at breakfast were not fresh, they were dry as if were cut a day or two before and stored in a fridge. 5) staff was speaking English poorly, sometimes it was impossible to understand them. 6) someone smoke in breakfast area, the smell was not pretty.
Staff are attentive and helpful Walking distance of many attractions
Beds aren't extremely comfortable, breakfast isn't great, but if you are looking for a good value and a place to stay where you will be close to attractions you cannot go wrong here
The staff were very friendly and helpful, they cleaned our rooms every day and supplied us with fresh towels. The aircon were a big bonus, in the heat.
A small fridge in our room would've been very helpful.
the location was the biggest surprise and benefit. The price was fair but it is not for everyone's standard. The breakfast was very meager.
The sourrounding streets were so dirty and so much noise outside. The safe that we kept the passport and money could be opened and used by anyone. The key was just in the drawer with no one in attendance at times. we had no hot water for first 3 days.
very good location good value for money fairly roomy
not really 24h front desk pool breakfast (that was nobody at 7) stain (blood) on the blanket
Расположение Отношение персонала Место (Иерусалим) где он находится -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dirty carpet We were asked to clean out water from under the bathtub room 101
The best thing was its just next door to masjid Al-Aqsa only five minutes walk nd your there.
Perfect point to visit the Old Jerusalem. You do not need to use the public transport and taxis. Close do Damascus gate and yhe bus terminal with buses to Bethlehem every 15 minuts. If you get the room from the back side - is very quiet. Excellent breakfast - fresh, varied and large. Wifi was only in restaurant and lobby, not in the rooms at second floor, but works pretty good. It was not yhe cleanest place we have ever seem but it was not so bad.
Weak wifi coverage.
the staff are pretty helpful
has wifi connection only in the cafeteria
Breakfast was good and location.
Tv didn't work and there was no fridge in the room.
rooms had no wifi, it was only at dinning room
Very close proximity to the Old town, just few mins of walking. Average breakfast.
Older hotel that would need a renovation but perfect for someone who's just looking for a place to sleep.
- wifi available in meeting room - smoking allowed in meeting room
Great location for visiting Al Aqsa, would definitely come again very honest and fair management
One of the cheapest options around. Basic service but nothing to really complain.
Senior staff should be more willing to help tourists... and to admit mistakes
Good breakfast, bed and internet. Very clean.
The hotel is near to Damascus Gate, but it is far of the public transportation and the others atractions of Jerusalem. The shower is terrible. There is a bracket on the wall but the shower is skewed, you have that hold in the hand and the water not hot enough.
fab central location 5 mins walk from Damascus gate breakfast basic but ok and included in price helpful, friendly staff
VERY basic accommodation showerhead impossible (but water pressure and heat OK) access difficult due to new road closures no elevator
Very close from old city, Damas gate, muslim distric
Not very clean, poor breakfast, no wifi in room ... Only way to go is low price to be close from old city
Location is great, just a few minutes walk from the old city. The staff was generally kind and helpful, although no one was at the reception when I arrived. It turned out they were watching TV in the lounge on the 1st floor. Brekfast was OK, vegetables, hummus, pita etc... and of course milk and cereals. I think I got a completely fair value for my money.
The wireless was not working in my room, only on the corridor and the lounge. I guess its not the problem of my phone, as I see others were complaining as well. The bathroom is extremely weird with a sitting bathtub. Other people may find it a bit annoying (I did not) that the some rooms face an arabic cemetery.
Location and staff
considering the level of the rooms and furniture, quite old, it could cost less
Clean, good location, good breakfast, expensive but cheap for Jerusalem.
Wifi doesn't work in the rooms.
The staff is ok, friendly and polite. Try to speak only to the blonde young guy and with the boys who help you with your luggage.
The sheets are broken and the blanket is very old. The bathroom is unsafe and you don't have hot water all the time. The manager is a very rude person, pay attention that he does not accept any feedback. If you say something bad about the conditions he is offering he feels offended and argue with you. Don't pay in advance. The furniture is very old, it needs serious refurbishing and the carpet has to be changed. It's old and does not look clean. If you decide to stay here bring a pair of beach slippers with you as you can not stay bare feet in this hotel.
Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, location close to Old City and to bus to Bethlehem.
