Safed Inn

Best B&B in northern Israel. The Ruckensteins are amazing people who go out of their way to make your stay as perfect as possible. Outstanding breakfast! We strongly recommend you stay at the Safed Inn when looking for a place in Northern Israel.

nice and cosy, the best value for money, welcoming stuff

We like everything about Safed Inn. Riki and Dov were very gracious and went out of their way to answer the many questions we had. Our room was fine and we made use of the hot tub at night to really relax. The continental breakfast was very filling and excellently prepared.

We have no criticisms. Just have a good map or follow the directions you are sent, as the Inn is outside of town.

The owners were very friendly, giving us great advise for touring the area. They also made a wonderful breakfast with home made bread, jams and olives.

The owners were helpful and warm people. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms well heated and very clean. It is a very quiet, tranquil place and we slept well.

Beautiful location at the top of the hills overlooking Galilee region - with friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. A great way to end our stay in Israel!

Location is up steep winding roads which require a car or public transport to get to restaurant or café down in Safed for lunch or dinner. This limitation was clearly indicated by the Inn before we arrived.

The Staff were very friendly and made you feel at home. Very helpful.

Hosts were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. They were able to offer me gluten free bread and were flexible with their meal and room clean up times. They also were knowledgeable about the area and offered good ways to get around, where to go and what to eat.

The Inn has an older infrastructure and appearance.

The Safed Inn is the B&B complex with excellent rooms (I stayed in the upgraded room with jacuzzi), great breakfasts, good amenities (includes wi-fi, sauna, hot tub outside, fridge, outside quest kitchen, and numerous patios/benches), and nice hosts who will be happy to assist you in any questions, requests or concerns. Great for romantic getaways where peace and tranquility is needed.

nice people, great rooms - very clean and comfy, mattresses and everything else was new not worn out. "Dorms" are 2-bed-rooms: great value! Sauna and whirlpool for $3 extra :-) Nice common area, friendly hosts. Got self-made winter wine for free, very hospitable

a bit hard to get to, must take local bus or taxi. Next city Safed is great but cannot walk there.

Friendly and helpful hosts. Very clean, big comfortable room, fridge, WiFi. Breakfast costs extra, but both the Israeli and the continental were delicious. There is also a communal sauna, jacuzzi, and small kitchen. Car is a must. Good location for exploring upper Galilee.

Ruckenstein B@B (Safed Inn) is family run hotel located close to Safed (Tzfat) famous religious places and artist galleries and surrounded by nice countryside with beautiful forest scenic roads and vista points. Rooms are well equipped including AC, TV with sat channels, coffee/tea corner. Bathroom is clean, all equipment is functioning. Breakfasts are plentiful and tasty. Riki cooks home bread, cheese, various homemade jams and proposes all this to her guests. Owners of the place are absolutely great people and we enjoyed staying in their hotel.

In spite of daily tidying up our room was not very clean (spots on the floor that could have been cleaned out).

Price and location.

Overpowering owner; garden was unkempt - some of the garden furniture was very past its sell-by date (ie it was very dirty). In our room we had several different types of heating, only one of which actually worked. These were flat electric panels on the wall which got so hot when on that touching them accidentally could lead to a burn. The continental breakfast (extra) was very poor compared to any other hostel we stayed in, both in quantity and quality.

Rikki and Dov were wonderfull hospitable. They also had great personal information about many places I planned to visit. They were warm and welcoming. The breakfast provided was excellent and they even had brewed coffee, which is somewhat rare in Israel. I enjoyed interacting with them and plan to stay at Safed Inn again when I next come to Israel.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The setting was very relaxing and we enjoyed the opportunity to sit outside in the evening.

Safed Inn was a great hotel! The staff was amazing as well as the location. The nature around the hotel was really impressive, the rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful and frendly. Staff was extremely helpful.

The Safed Inn felt like home to my wife and I. After staying there for 4 nights recently, we decided to return for a further day later in our trip to conclude our 2 week vacation to Israel. The owners were a delight, and the relaxed atmosphere at the Inn was a breath of fresh air compared to most hotel situations in this part of the world.

Very relaxed, friendly and helpful hosts. Excellent Israeli breakfast set us up for the day & well worth the extra cost over the continental breakfast which was also excellent. Good location, easy to find and good parking.
