The panoramic view of Jerusalem. Evenings meals - buffet were good as we're breakfasts.
No women around although I believe there were some females on reception during the day. Internet only available in the foyer.
Good value, great view, nice staff at check in, food was good,
Need more tv stations with english language
Magnificent setting and outlook. Big comfortable rooms with large comfortable bed, good working table with good lighting, great view from some bedroom windows. Really hot water always available. Waiting and desk staff friendly, obliging.
Carpets and windows not properly cleaned. Pervasive smell tobacco smoke. Slightly run down all over. Gardens run down. Staff doing bedrooms leave piles of linen about. With a few more and better trained cleaning and garden staff, hotel would have a much better feel than it does. Shame, because building splendid, could still be a great hotel with a little more care and attention.
Location was great, the view was priceless, price was good, breakfast had good selection of food
hard to find place to park rental car, no elevators, had to carry luggage up 2 flights of steps, no fridge, only one chair to sit on to eat in room and work on computer
Excellent evening meals
Room was so cold we couldnt sleep. Next day was given an old heater that didnt work properly. Blankets were stained. Hotel stank of cigarette smoke (one of us has asthma). Think lots of locals stay as they were loud and shouty and wandered into kitchen to help themselves. Breakfast was average.
Seven Arches is in a fabulous location for overlooking the Old City and the Temple Mount. The view is spectacular. We booked the hotel for one night only to enjoy the view in the evening as well as the early morning. Then we transferred to another hotel in the Old City for the remainder of the week to be close to the sights. Staying in this hotel for a week in Jerusalem would be inconvenient as the road up and down the Mount of Olives is narrow and congested.
