In one of Jerusalem’s nicest neighborhoods, A Little House in Rechavia is a hotel in a great location, within easy walking distance of the center of the city and the old city. Free Wi-Fi is provided.
Score from 391 reviews Good
National Hotel is in one of Jerusalem's busiest shopping districts, a 5 minute drive from Herod's Gate, an entrance into Jerusalem's Old City. Parking and Wi-Fi are both free.
Score from 824 reviews Very good
Hotel is very close to Damascus Gate, but in a secondary road where car are not allowed. The place is very silent, but close to many important places in Jerusalem that can be reached on foot. Near the hotel bar, restaurant and supermarkets are present.
open 24hours and the staff could speak english. they ordered a taxi.I could leave my luggage during the day till taxi arrived. They have credit card facility.Simple but homely.
The Caldean Street name is not sign posted on the wall from Nablus Road. I arrived one o clock in morning by shuttle bus and could not find the Caldean Road. A friendly guy at petrol station eventually showed me the way after looking for the road more than 30 minutes walking up and down the Nablus Road which was busy with road works in the night. The shuttle bus could not drive into Nablus Road,as they were busy with road works. That was a very uncomfortable situation for a 62 year old lady middle of the night. More information of bus routes should be available at the home.
Breakfast was adequate but very simple.
Very noisy. No isolation between rooms, like whole floor living in a dormitory. (including toiletts)
Close to damascus gate.
As the place is in the arabic part most tours and taxi drivers dont want to go there. Its a religious place.
good breakfast, clean towels every day, comfortable beds. Very nice staff at the reception- helped us with transportation to the airport (ordered shared taxi for 64 NIS), prepared take away breakfast for us due to early departure.
very small bathroom, no TV in the room, difficult to find
Clean, quiet and excellent location. Israel is an expensive place so it was as good as you could get for the price; the room was really large, with comfortable beds and a good bathroom. It was also cleaned every day, and the breakfast was nice too!
Staff were very nice but seemed shy and so they weren't very open to giving advice, but this may have been because of the language barrier. Also it's quite hard to find, but most definitely not impossible! The lane it's on is opposite the Institut Francais which is no.6 Nablus Road, and the sign for Chaldean Street - which is a bit worn away - is covered in cables beneath a light on the wall (which itself is beneath another, larger sign).
The perfect location to visit Jerusalem. Superb Wifi connection. Breakfast you may skip. Cool & funny people running the place.
Location, flexibility of staff in terms of arriving, and coming and going during the day. Clean sheets, simple but homely.
Perfect location really close to the old town. Perfect for people looking for quiet place close to the center. Staff is very polite and friendly.
Personnel were very helpful and kind.
Really difficult to get there, we were looking for the place for hours. We had to call them in order to get there. The address here and in google maps is totally wrong
Location is great, close to the Damascus gate and you can find open shops during the Sabbath. Breakfast is OK. Room is Spartian but clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful.
very convenient location close to Damascus gate in east Jerusalem (arab part)
quite loud, you hear every word spoken in the hall and the main road of the city is close by
Good location for old city, lovely friendly helpful staff, good breakfast, clean. Would definitely go there again.
Friendly and attentive staff, good breakfast, exellent location (the old city is a 5 minute walk from the guest house), free parking at a private parking lot. We had leaking tap which was fixed right away.
Wifi was hard to access every now and then, price per night was very high compared to other less simply accomodated guest houses we went to (although they were not in Jerusalem). It was hard to find the guest house since the street names on our road map were different than on the street signs.
Good location, value for money. Always ok.
difficult to find.
We liked everything, 10/10 From the nice cozy room, to the views, the general atmosphere and the fact it was annexe to a church. Just great!!
We liked everything
Impossible to find it. I had to call to booking.com.
the location is good, within walking distance to the old city of Jerusalem; the staff are very kind and helpful.
the bathroom is narrow, and the toilet is probably 30cm facing the wall and beside another side of the wall. it is challenging for someone who is reasonably sized, ie., 170cm and 60kg to use the toilet.
We sleep in silent
St. Thomas Home is in a great location in East Jerusalem for visiting the old city (5 min walk from Damascus Gate). It's also very convenient if you want to use public transport to travel in the city of Jerusalem or to other destinations, as the bus stations are very close. The area is quiet at night, so you can count on a good sleep at night. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The room was pretty basic, no double bed (our room had only three single beds), the bathroom definitely small and the same for the cabinet. But after all this is a guest house, not a luxury hotel! So if you know what to expect, you won't be disappointed.
Near the Garden Tomb and Damascus Gate, but in local neighborhood. Friendly staff as part of a Syrian Catholic Church. Clean and daily room housekeeping. Motel like accommodations. Simple breakfast in basement room and also there is an inside lounge on 1st floor. Rooms have no TV but one is in lounge. Wifi works in room. Roof top access for panorama view of surrounding area.
Elevator would sometimes get stuck on different floors so had to take stairs. There are steps between elevators and certain floors. Rooms are quiet. However, on some days for a couple of minutes the neighboring minaret would start early in morning. Got used to it after awhile as we were tired from previous day activities.
We liked the situation very close to the damascus gate, the calm and the cleanliness.
It was hard to find on our arrival , the breakfast was each day exactly the same and not so good (no fruit, no proper fruit juice...) and after 3days it became boring and we found it expensive for what it was.
