Location, facilities

The apartment is very clean and comfortable.

Apartment was nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Location was good with restaurants and groceries near by. Parking was convenient and free. Generally a very pleasant stay.

Internet could be faster. A bit noisy but one has to expect that in middle of city.

Took us a long time to find the office to check-in. There are 3 buildings which all look the same.

Very good hotel, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, free wifi and parking make this hotel very attractive for the travelers with cars!

The rooms and the facilities were excellent

Spaciousness. Proximity to good restaurants. The windows (open two ways). Very helpful staff. The neighborhood location. Proximity to the Old City.

Although it was not near the old town, there was a good bus service. The surrounding were pretty and residential with a few nice café'S.

The insulation of the building was not very good, could hear people talking when they were a bit loud. The wifi connection was poor.

We wanted a place that not only allowed us to walk to the Old City with our 4 and 8 year olds, but was also safe. We also wanted a place that had good food available nearby. The Tamar was great for all these things. (Our local friend, Vared, said she thought it was one of the best locations we could have chosen in Jerusalem.) We walked to the Old City without much difficulty, we were close to German Town, which, as it turned out, wasn't all that important, as the restaurant at the Tamar served great food served inside or outside. We chose outside twice.

The only downside to our apartment was the pull-out bed. It was tiny and not that comfortable. If they fix that one detail, it would make the Residence unbeatable for a family vacation to Jerusalem.

Great facilities for a family, good location

This was the best decisions i have made for the trip. Clean, sunny, modern rooms. Really nice cafe downstairs. Most of the stuff speak English. Walking distance to the Old city. I will defiantly will comeback.

We liked that the suite was reasonably priced and located in a great neighborhood that we would not have previously considered. The layout was perfect for a family with small kids since there was bedding and televisions in separate rooms allowing the adults privacy. Kitchen was also very functional since it came furnished with dishes. Etc. we will return

No hot water at night

- Lots of noise in the early morning (5am) due to downstairs restaurant. Try to avoid the first floor of building #1 when booking.

Staff was friendly. Rooms were nice, if a little small.

Staff should have mentioned other accommodations for Shabbat when we asked for the Shabbat key. Brochure says synagogue is across the street- yes, but only for men. Staff should know of other synagogue locations. Had to ask several times for extra towels and tissues. Blankets too heavy. Should have summer weight blankets

Staff is very professional,helpful and friendly! Convenient location in beautiful jerusalem neighborhood. Comfortable,homelike,simple and lovely.

The staff were friendly and assisted us when we required to stay a little longer on our last day

I was charge $20 more than I expected.

Friendly, helpful in terms of directions, accommodated a bunch of requests, didn't charge extra for more people staying in the room (like other hotels in Israel did), seemed like they genuinely wanted us to have a good time

Bathroom was clean but some of the tiling etc was old/needed caulk and made it look dirtier than was

Good location. Indoor parking included. Comfortable. Shabbat friendly.

The room was a large suite with a full kitchen and comfortable pull-out bed for our daughter. free parking and wifi. It is in a quiet neighborhood 20 minutes by foot to downtown and 40 minutes to the Old City.

Service was amateurish. Rooms weren't cleaned unless we specifically asked, often not till late afternoon. Door to building did not lock.

when arriving late, the signs to get to the office are not enough - not lighted
