Old hotel , small lobby ,
Unacceptable front desk service.
The Gym is good
Staff let the hotel down
Small room, windows so dirty impossible to see outside
Location is excellent right in front of the beach
For those arriving for the first time the Orchid hotel is divided into two buildings one that is old, out of view, and the newer one where the front desk is located. Frustrating is to pay and be placed on an outdated suite in the old building and find out that there are better view on the newer suits and apartments in the main building. Front desk will not discuss their allocation method. Felt mislead by room pictures.
Good location by the sea. I was upgraded to a larger room when checking in (no extra charge). Friendly staff. Nice and clean.
Quite noisy from corridor and traffic outside.
Good price-value-quality hotel
Ip phone Free of charge. Location Breakfast Sea view from the bar
when you booked with Booking.com, they put you on the room on the street site: very noisy!
Overlooking the beach, prime location, free wifi, friendly staff, comfortable large bed, comfortable lounge and seating area outside .
Breakfast could be improved by having decent coffee facility and better fresh fruit selection. Rooms are small and need refreshing as well as th bathrooms.
Hotel is in a great location. with great views. Breakfast was delicious and free use of bikes was super.
Nothing I asked for was arranged, like early check-in or payment to be taken from card when booking was made or a double bed. Staff were not very friendly and kind of aloof. The wifi connection is terrible. Also, very few TV channels
gym, pool, executive lounge
the door of the room was not well sound proofed and all the noise of the corridor came in
Location, Friendly staff, great breakfast selection.
The girl who checked me in was the nicest of all the check people at the reception desk. She was polite, her manners was accommodating and keen to help and please. She even have me free breakfast for the whole duration of my stay. The rest of the receptionists was acting very unhelpful specially the one which looked like the manager. I don't understand how could they have front office staff with very unfriendly attitudes. In the end I decided to move to David's intercontinental Hotel. The breakfast at this hotel was very good and the breakfast room was excellent. I will not stay here again though.
The rooms were far too small and cramped than what is shown online. The pictures are misleading and the receptionists apart from one are all very abrupt and unhelpful.
It is a good hotel, and with one exception the staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the stay and would recommend the hotel to everyone, but with a stress on the negative remark. For people who are sensitive to sound, this is certainly not the right place.
The sound isolation inside the hotel is below standard. E.g. when the neighbours flushed their toilet we thought we were in there with them (and are glad we just missed the rest of the sounds), and when they came home and opened their door, we thought they came into our room. The traffic noise from Rehov Yarkon made sleeping very difficult; you need sound isolation as if the aircraft were flying low above your head - we first thought it came from planes or a helicopter. These are the only complaints, but we found them serious enough to report, knowing it is hard to do anything about it.
location, and care from QM site
The staff on the reception desk should be more friendly and helpfull.
everything, attention, place, service and quality from 0-10 they got 10
Very good and pleasing
Extremely inadequate lifts for the size of hotel. On occasion we don't mind using stairs but most of the time we had to, as the lifts were too busy.Shame that when refurbishing, they didn't install an extra one, say running down the outside. Chairs. Only one, desk chair in the room - we don't always like to sit on the bed and with no balcony to sit on,we needed two chairs inside.
The view the friendliness of the staff
I liked everything but it's better on the side of the Sheraton as your have a good view of beach and the rooms are renovated on that side
Location! Staff! Facilities! Service! Reception girls were great!!!
Breakfast was a bit poor (well in comparison to other Tel-Aviv hotels, like Hilton and Sheraton), but not a bad selection after all. Also, the Spa was in bad state, which reminded me a bit of a storage room and very bad receptions at the Spa.
Location, neer the best beach in T.a!!! Size of the room . Good brackfast
Small pool .
Tiny room. Small crowded pool.
Beds were extremely comfortable
Reception staff were rude when we arrived but then accomodating throughout the stay, so we may have just caught one of the girls on a bad day. The pool area is small and over crowded, with wall that blocks sunlight. The toilet in our room had a glass door, so make sure you are extremely comfortable with the person you're staying with!
Very central location, clean room, free bike rentals. Good service and good value for money compared to other expensive hotels nearby. Complementary bottles of water in the rooms.
We had booked a superior room with "sea view", but what we got was a dark room with view on the street and parking. We could only see a little piece of the sea on the far right, which is not really what we expected when we asked for sea view. We complained at the reception, and they gave us a much nicer room the next day. The breakfast wasn't really anything special.
