No elevator so can be hard work carrying luggage up the second floor where reception in located or to rooms on higher floors.
There is a cost to "centrally located" on Ben Yehuda st and that unstoping noises until late night and early mornings. The rooms have no noises isolation and you feel like sleeping in the middle of the street.
For only 50USD a night one should not have high expectation.
Centrally located (there for very noisy!), nice and smiling staff, everything is a bit old and looks out of date but st the same time decent and clean.
Breakfast is a great surprise, been ti many cheap hotels in Israel where "breakfast included" and ended up with a piece of bread and a jam, certainly not an Israeli breakfast, but this is not the case here! Great breakfast with salads, eggs, cereals, coffee, big surprise taking into consideration the cost!
Although all disadvantages detailed bellow I would recommend it as a cheap sane and decent option in Jerusalem.
