Score from 95 reviews Excellent
The appearance of this hotel is outstanding, with excellent attention to detail of the interiors and furniture. It is very well maintained, spacious and has a good restaurant. One of their regular autorickshaw drivers (Ali) took very good care of us, taking us to major sites, an elephant preserve and to high quality handicrafts, textiles and jewelry businesses.
It is nicely located, close to the old city. It has a colonial look (although only recently built (and construction of a new wing is still going on)). Restaurant is also fine (and they serve alcohol)
If you have problems with walking or Climbing stairs you should check whether a room at ground level is avalaible
The architecture and near to sightseeing
The occupancy was about 5 rooms only so it's very boring no one at all in the resturant at anytime and i spent 2 nights just saw one lady .. And the area is very dark at evening as there are lots of mechanic shops which are closed in the evening . So risky to go out ..
The architecture of the hotel
The architecture of building and the hotel setting
I wanted to visit a restored Haveli which is what Alsisar is. The room I had was large and nicely painted in an old style. The rest of the decor matched. Bathroom was modern. Restaurant was a bit formal, but very nice. Food was good and service was good. The hotel arranged a train pick-up and drop-off, a guide for a walking tour and a car for 2 days. The price for the guide was very reasonable, which I paid directly to the guide. The car with driver was a big high, but the driver was great .... so worth the money. May is also the low season making the cost of the room very reasonable.
Kitchen being closed 3 til 6 just when I wanted some of their good textless tea
Lovely haveli and they are renovating some parts of it to make them better for the peak season Nice pool Relatively well located near markets Rooms were comfortable Food was very reasonably priced
Service tends to be slow - dinner order always took 45+mins Not a high end luxury property (a couple of other haveli type properties in Jaipur are more grand) so toiletries are basic, towels, etc. very limited food menu - perhaps because of off season and low occupancy
A haven of tranquility... A real rajput palace with sandstone balconies, beautifully and simply decorated. Room 203 was quite big, beds are firm and confortable. The staff is very polite. Breakfast was OK, no buffet. The overall quietness of the place is what made Alsisar Haveli one of my favorite hotel ever, and by far the best I've been to in India.
AC was very noisy, so earplugs are mandatory during summer. Located in a street which is the complete opposite of the hotel: noisy, dirty, hectic traffic... Only mechanics shops around. You need to take a tuktuk to get anywhere interesting.
I liked the style and decor of the hotel. The gardens and swimming pool was a welcome break after a hot day. The rooms were comfortable and pleasant to sleep in.
The breakfast choice was very poor and uninteresting. It would be good to get more fresh fruit of good quality, cereal, salads and cheeses with nice bread.
A very quite hotel in the middle of a crowded outskirt of Jaipur city centre. Nice rooms, pleasant, silent and charming; neat and clean the common spaces and the restaurant. A took took driver was always available outside the hotel for your cheap travel within Jaipur.
A poor breakfrast and a quite short list of choices for your meal.
This heritage hotel is very beautiful. The courtyard is very inviting and rooms spacious and charming, with everything you would need.
The hotel lacked some maintenance and the quality of their linen was very poor (the towel was like sandpaper to the skin). The service staff seemed sleepy and lazy, and only chasing after tips when possible.
Wonderful table and poolside service. Fantastic heritage rooms and features. Lovely [small] pool
Brusque front desk service. Limited breakfast
Fabulous architecture built on traditional lines. Friendly and helpful staff meant that this was our second visit to this hotel. Would recommend it.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom.
We stayed at Alsisar Haveli for two nights during our golden triangle tour. The hotel has a certain charm, nicely maintained. Our room was beautiful with lovely coloured glass windows and stunning tiles on the floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
This is a superb hotel in one of my favourite cities of india. the hotel is a family run one and i for one like such hotels. i find it better than those chains which seem just the same. the hotel has loads of character and charm. the place is very well maintained. good service and great food make it my recommended choice for jaipur. please go there and see for yourself.
A Great Heritage hotel off a busy road. Entered through a fortified gate, it is enclosed by high walls that form a tranquil setting to enjoy the beautiful gardens and swimming pool with sunbeds. Large patio for drinking/dining with puppet shows in the evening. Large dining hall with crystal chandeliers serving buffet and a-la-carte. Room well-furnished and everything worked.
.A fabulous stay if you truly love to indulge in typical Rajasthani culture and hospitality. My craving for authentic Rajasthani hospitality was more than met. The way the rooms, the furniture including 4 posted luxuriously carved beds, man this stay was out of the world. Recommended only and only if you can abstain from gorging on meat, sink into a lazy peaceful day feeding the birds, savoring the pampering once enjoyed the royals.
The ambiance is nice, nice garden, restaurant and living room. Room is traditionally built, hence its not sound proof, mosquitoes, etc.
As the location of the hotel is in the middle of the town, its noisy at night of vehicle horning. Aicond unit is an old type which makes a lot of noise and not cooling.
Quite close to the city gate, so close to the crazy traffic, but as you enter garden you leave all the rush of Jaipur behind. This haveli is the best we stayed during the Rajasthan tour and we'll not forget it. The room was like a dream and it makes you feel to be in the maharaja era. The swimming pool is a little jewel. Then small patios with coloured flowers are all around. Thus, the room rate is justified.
Beautiful Haveli, extremely romantic and full of charm. Nice pool.
The restaurant is ok and convenient but the indian food is quite disappointing and "occidentalized" to please the average tourist. Keep in mind that it's a heritage hotel so comfort is not modern but it's part of the charm and it still is comfortable. A bit out of the way.
Beautiful Haveli hotel full of interesting rooms and quirkiness. Restaurant staff and domestic staff were all brilliant. Good choice of buffet breakfasts and dinners. Lovely gardens to sit in and open air swimming pool.
This cute hotel is wonderful! It is so cozy and sweet that I immediately felt like home. I will definitely come back and I can highly recommend it. The rooms are big and very clean. I love this hotel!
its a unique hotel to stay with in Jaipur India. Although there are some lacking, but overall was ok, lean toward good.
direction to the hotel is difficult. Its a bit noisy if some guest seating outside on the hall way.
Great converted mansion/haveli -- authentic decor, outdoor pool, terrace, surroundings. Peaceful inner courtyard for dining. Extremely friendly staff (and reception very useful for planning tours and hiring cars).
Building was converted into a hotel, so has some quirks (thin walls, winding staircases, etc). Note hot water only works in the morning and evening.
