Courtyard by Marriott Chennai    

Staff were a very good, hotel location is good.

The facilities of the hotel are too expensive, their pick up rate is more than 4 times the normal taxi charges, there is no proper breakfast and their food menu is not that good. In general they don't have a proper resturent.

Proximity to where I needed to be

Front desk response was poor often unmanned in the evening . Request for Inbound phone transfers to the room was a chore often unable.

The bed was too creaky, our sleep was a very disturbed one...

I came away with a not so good impression about Courtyard Marriott Chennai. While checking in the staff tried to register me with a rate that was 30% higher than what I had booked. I had to produce my booking.com receipt to have them fall in line. The deluxe room had the appearance of a standard courtyard marriott room but lacked several basic amenities. Food at the dinner buffet was average. Breakfast was slightly better. Overall I felt that the hotel was a poorly managed franchise and not a standard courtyard marriott property.

Valuer for money

I fell sick at night for reasons unrelated with Marriott. The staff volunteered and got me medicine at 2 AM. I cant think of many hotels whose staff would volunteer to do this. Thank you Marriott

The very friendly, warm welcome and the overall relaxing atmosphere.

Nice, clean and spacious rooms, comfortable breakfast area, bar. In general clean and fresh with staff that is not always very adequate but very attentative.

Service at breakfast was not too well. Tables not prepared, asking for coffee 3 times etc. Though the waiters were very friendly.

Excellent .. from the time we entered to the time we checked, excellent staff, excellent facility, very good food, very good ambience..loved it

The room for two people was spacious with two proper beds. The room was clean and good. Staff at check in and check out were helpful.

The breakfast was not that great and also dinner buffet not worth the over 1kINR price. The staff was fooling us there is no food available outside the hotel at 10pm even there were restaurants open much later nearby. The bed felt humid when starting to sleep.

Endpreis bei booking.com nicht respektiert da Luxussteuer. Hotel im allgemeinen schmutzig, verbraucht und ungemütlich. Zu laut und chaotisch.

The hotel is clean and staff are very friendly. Though the food was also nice, no consideration has been given to religious concerns such as mentioning whether the food served is Halal or not as I saw a number of Muslim guests who abstained from eating in the hotel's restaurant due to this reason. I know other hotels in India of the same class such as Courtyard Marriot do take religious concerns into consideration. I hope Courtyard Marriot, Chennai will follow their example.
