Located just 2 km from the famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Backwater Breeze offers clean and in Kumarakom overlooking the scenic Kerala backwaters. WiFi access is available in this homestay.
Score from 6 reviews Wonderful
Featuring colonial architecture, Coconut Creek Farm and Homestay is about 5 km from central Kumarakom. It offers a restaurant, a hair salon, and massage services.
Score from 9 reviews Very good
Courteous and friendly staff, clean room and facilities and excellent food at the restaurant, specially the traditional Kerala dishes
Rooms have their own privacy, staff was good. We can also roam around resort and enjoy lake view
Food was slight expensive compared to the menu items.
The location is perfect. Calm, serene, The beautiful view of the lake from the swimming pool adds to the beauty.. The staff was very courteous, polite and took care of all our needs. Very clean rooms, perfect hospitality matching European standards.. Loved the stay.. The food was fine too.. Though the continental dishes needed improvement, the Indian delicacies were really tasty..
Food Menu.. Being Indian, I loved the Indian menu, but I think there is still room for improvement in the continental dishes.. Eg. Inclusion of more variety etc (the pancakes could taste better ;))..
Iocation, food, service
Staff are really helpful and friendly. I already visited the place twice and I cannot think of any other place that can replace this peaceful location.
Massages are expensive and not worth the money. Massage therapists dont seem experienced.
Everything was amazing . . From the start till the end !! Definitely value for money !!
Nothing as such !!
The bathroom and it's facilities- clean and good. The chalet overall was ok. The F&B, the food was quite good,so was the service by the waiter.
The maintanence of the surroundings- the garden and it's related functionity. The ambience just wasn't there! Very dull- could do with some creativity and more lighting especially at the lake's embankment.Up keep can be improved too. Power outage can be improved on, hopefully zero level in the near futue!
Location, staff courtesy and facilities
We didnot have good dining experience at the resort. Arabian sea /lake/backwaters being seafood heaven, we were expecting plenty of fish and seafood options. Also no desert options were available except icecream (only vanilla, strawberry and chocolate)!. Maybe it was due to the fact that we went there during the month of April ( apparently offseason) . Once we ordered seafood well in advance to enable the staff to procure the items in advance. Still the quality of preparation was not upto the mark. The resort ambience and the alternative food options at Allepey city made up for the lack of quality food at the resort.
Food and staff was good. Even the spa treatments were great. Rooms are well done.
Had great difficulty to find the resort due to improper signages. Wasted atleast an hour, which we could have spent in the resort.
The Staff was courteous and proactively helpful. Food by Bipin was excellent and F& B Manager was co operative The receptionist Mary stumped my boys with a bouquet on their birthday
amazing location, friendly staff and beautiful sunrise view from resort. excellent food.good for families.
Relaxing most of the time.
Opened the hotel up for day trips and one day we had 30 or 40 young Indian kids playing in a very small pool. We could not even go for lunch until 3pm. The hotel will be getting a complaint letter very soon.
Location & ambiance of the resort is Very Good . Swimming pool is good , but not large .
Scope for improvement in food quality and choice .
The resort location was amazing and the staffs were very well disciplined.
I specially asked for Lake View double room as that is what I paid for. But I didn't get one I hoped to as per the room description. I managed but as the room I got was very good n Nice. Also they only had buffet dinner n lunch, so food was kind off more than what we actually wanted to eat
Rooms were very comfortable with all modern facilities.
Staff extremely kind and supportive, nice location On the backwaters
Nothing. A little difficult to find
Lovely little property, clean and well maintained with friendly staff. Location on the water is great, albeit a bit hard to locate when getting there. Watching the sun rise over Lake Vembanad was an incredible experience and you can't beat this place for value-for-money, especially when compared to resorts across the way over in Kumarakom.
There is only a buffet option for dinner (no a la carte). It was a bit pricey and the food was average at best. Ditto for breakfast - while it was included in the room price, quality could have been better.
A BIT EXPENSIVE
The view of the lake and the comfort of the room
Isolated Very quiet Good for a rest or a honey moon
Small and well maintained resort.. Excellent location, well landscaped .Good spa and courteous staff.
Scope for improvement in veg food variety and taste.
The hotel location was nice ...right next to the lake and not so crowded as the hotel itself was small ... nice for an overnight stay ...as there is nothing much to do around the hotel long stays aren't recommended
We went early to hotel right after we checked out from our houseboat ... the room wasn't ready and they made us wait for 4 hrs ... this was unacceptable as they provided the room to 4 other guest who came after us when they initially mentioned they didn't had any rooms available ...
The location is excellent if you want to be on the lake. Staff pleasant and supported our needs. Rooms are very clean and very comfortable with excellent a/c. Facility to tour the lake from the resort. Having had the problems with cold food, we spoke to the restaurant manager and this was put right. Great local fish dishes were served.
There is nowhere to walk around. The restaurant had no soft seating areas. Chairs in the restaurant are wood and uncomfortable to sit on. Request that I pay food and beverages by cash only. Some of the hot buffet meals were cold and we had to send back meals that were cold. The Hotel has no alcohol licence and this is not pointed out in the booking.com website.
beautiful, quiet location; medium, uncrowded size; attentive, friendly and helpful staff who made sure any request was attended to.
dinners only available from the buffet, no a al carte option.
Lovely and relaxing stay. Good courteous staff Loved the pool A la carte lunch was good
We had booked around 20 days in advance and had gone for the lake view rooms. We had to confirm thrice our rooms and everytime the person at the reception was not clear about the booking. This happened till we reached there. Even when we were near Cochin, we called same confusion. The rooms given to us were not at all lake view for which they reduced the rates only when we protested. Buffet is average
