The historic building and furnishings are amazing. The staff and the overall service are fantastic. The room service was very good. The gifts for the children were a nice touch. The hotel does not have any facities for children. No playround or toddler pool. The hotel cars, transfers and tours are very expensive.

I love the uniqueness of the hotel - it didn't feel like a cookie-cutter or formulaic version of a luxury hotel, like so many hotels that belong to chains. It is a hotel with great character and charm. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly also.

One of the most amazing, stylish hotels I have stayed at. Worth every penny. The spa was fantastic. I was a little disappointed with food and service at Spice Route. Really average.

I loved the hotel overall I didn,t like that they gave me a garden room knowing there were going to be weddings every single night,we couldn,t sleep. At least they could have told me and it was up to me to decide if i wanted another room. And also because when I added one more night they charged me more than your rate knowing about the parties. I thought it was dishonest . I hope you didn,t sell this room cheaper because you knew about this problem

We loved everthing about The Imperial. It is beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and has a range of dining options. Our bedroom was gorgeous, with possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Compared with other hotels we stayed in during our trip, the hotel was expensive (local taxes add significantly to the bill), but it is in every sense a luxury hotel so this is to be expected, and compared with rates in Europe, it offers good value for money. We will definitely stay there again. I have no negative comments to make about The Imperial.

This hotel so perfectly portrays the British Rah period of India. It has ambience plus. The staff is perfect in every way. My favorite thing about the Raj is the buffet breakfast and that pool in the middle of New Delhi is pretty amazing. I have been going to the Raj for 20 years for the morning buffet but had never ever stayed before but it was on my list of things to do. Sadly you can feel that corporate mentality creeping in. When charge in the $400. range for a single room do you really need to charge for WiFi. Even Starbucks has free WiFi. What next to charge for the towels you use. I feel their upping their prices so much has eliminated some of the more quirky interesting people you use to see there. The day I was there it almost had a ghost town feel to it where as in past years the place seemed alive. And do you really need to charge $10 for a bowl of soup in New Delhi. The whole experience made me feel the 1%/99% thing. It was good for a night but in reality I have been priced out of this hotel. I just think it's sad when a place of such historic interest becomes the haunt of the idle rich.

Beautiful building with efficient and friendly staff. Would return time and time again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We ate at The Spice Route (wonderful food and ambience - nothing short of a masterpiece) and Daniels Tavern (brilliant food). We couldn't fault the place. Love it and can't wait to go back again.

The Imperial was a haven from the hustle and bustle of Delhi. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was nice, spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great. Other meals were not as good as expected and generally all services were too expensive. The additional 17 % tax on top of everything was excessive.

The Imperial is extremely luxurious with polished marble all around, large SPA facilities, fantastic bussiness center staff and a very nice pool. The hotel look absolutely shinny and new on the inside and over the top; the outside architecture is not modern (reminds me of the NY Empire state building) so pictures may give the wrong impression that it is a dated hotel. But is is a splending place both inside and out. Also, the external areas are large and neat. The pool, the SPA and the business center are outside but part of the whole complex, with the later two having underground facilities with skylights. I stayed at The Leela Palace a week earlier, I thought that was a great hotel with excellent service but The Imperial blows it out of the water. I found no faults at all.
