The spa is wonderful. We ate at 3 of the restaurants and the food was great at all of them. The rooms are soacious and well appointed.

Some hotel rooms can be VERY noisy (all that marble). Service needs to better anticipate/deal with guest comfort/needs.
Great architecture and atmosphere. Had a great spa treatment and fantastic food.

- Some staff seemed to be angling for tips - Smell of sulphur near swimming pool
- Well equipped room and comfortable bed - Excellent breakfast - Good choice of dining options - Lovely swimming pool - Helpfulness of staff in giving us early access to our room

From the moment you enter this sprawling property you get a feeling of opulence, the welcoming smiling faces of the staff, the rooms the restaurants and the manicured gardens make for a great stay in the hustle and bustle of Delhi.

Superb hotel, staff and facilities
April 22, 2015
It is the most beautiful colonial time building .. a supper experience to stay.
April 17, 2015
We asked for some water on arrival and were refused. They said they're not allowed to serve beverages in the lobby, which is honestly absurd.
Probably the most stunning hotel we've stayed at. It's referred to as a museum hotel, and you can see why. The art works all over seems so thought out, and staff was welcoming, a great stay.

I don't like feeling as though you are being nickeled and dimed for everything when you are paying such high hotel rates to begin with. It seems to take away from the luxury of it. The paid wifi is archaic and requires a lengthy registration process. None of the other 5* hotels we stayed at in India had paid wifi.
The hotel and pool is beautiful.

Having to pay for Wifi.
April 5, 2015
The cost of WiFi
The food is excellent especially In the Italian restaurnt a very imaginative chef
April 5, 2015

March 28, 2015
The friendliness of staff. The attention to detail everywhere.
March 14, 2015
Drinks prices very high even by standards of other Indian luxury hotels
Refined colonial ambience - a clear cut above the average 5 star hotel. Very good on site restaurants.very nice pool/spa

The staff, the location, the ambience

February 24, 2015
that the lawns outside the breakfast area were closed off for 3 days of my 4 day stay, for a wedding! And the lack of natural sunlight in my ground floor room.
The historic nature of the building and the décor, the greenery, comfort and cleanliness of rooms, good bars and restaurants
February 22, 2015
House keeping as explained above
February 20, 2015
Courtesy of the employees could be a little bit better.
Facilities are excellent
February 17, 2015
It was all so perfect, we were upgraded to a suite that was above our expectations. The meals on the terrace and high tea in the atrium were great.

The AC was broken... The room was always cold... They took long to repair it.
A luxury hotel
February 6, 2015
Expensive. All people expect tips from you and this is a real stress (Not like in Oberoi Hotels where individual tips are forbidden and you just leave, if you want, a collective tip at the end at reception). The entrance hall is a little cheesy, overdone, a little nouveau riche kitch. I the beautiful spa the Sauna and the Turkish bath were cold ...
It's a fantastic building, a great place nicely renovated and well kept. Great collection of engravings all over, beautiful rooms, great service, beautiful Spa, nice garden...

The concierge recommended a tour guide for us, and booked us in for a tour of the Taj Mahal. The tour guide was often abrupt and disinterested. He said he did it a lot. However, he was much more energetic at the end when he wanted to take us to more and more shops to buy things. He spent more time trying to encourage us to buy, than the actual tour itself.
The restaurants were amazing. Always worth while. The services from within the hotel were fantastic. The Spa was also luxurious and a must try!

Paying for wifi - it should be complimentary at a hotel of this standard. They didn't inform guests, prior to arrival, that the pool was closed due to refurbishment.
Old school five star service. The Imperial is a tranquil oasis in the centre of New Delhi madness.

Having to pay for wi-fi was rather greedy in a hotel of this standard. The first time I have been charged for this in 2-3years anywhere.
Very friendly and professional staff in beautiful surroundings.
