The historic nature of the building and the décor, the greenery, comfort and cleanliness of rooms, good bars and restaurants
that the lawns outside the breakfast area were closed off for 3 days of my 4 day stay, for a wedding! And the lack of natural sunlight in my ground floor room.
House keeping as explained above
Facilities are excellent
Courtesy of the employees could be a little bit better.
It was all so perfect, we were upgraded to a suite that was above our expectations. The meals on the terrace and high tea in the atrium were great.
A luxury hotel
The AC was broken... The room was always cold... They took long to repair it.
It's a fantastic building, a great place nicely renovated and well kept. Great collection of engravings all over, beautiful rooms, great service, beautiful Spa, nice garden...
Expensive. All people expect tips from you and this is a real stress (Not like in Oberoi Hotels where individual tips are forbidden and you just leave, if you want, a collective tip at the end at reception). The entrance hall is a little cheesy, overdone, a little nouveau riche kitch. I the beautiful spa the Sauna and the Turkish bath were cold ...
The restaurants were amazing. Always worth while. The services from within the hotel were fantastic. The Spa was also luxurious and a must try!
The concierge recommended a tour guide for us, and booked us in for a tour of the Taj Mahal. The tour guide was often abrupt and disinterested. He said he did it a lot. However, he was much more energetic at the end when he wanted to take us to more and more shops to buy things. He spent more time trying to encourage us to buy, than the actual tour itself.
Old school five star service. The Imperial is a tranquil oasis in the centre of New Delhi madness.
Paying for wifi - it should be complimentary at a hotel of this standard. They didn't inform guests, prior to arrival, that the pool was closed due to refurbishment.
Very friendly and professional staff in beautiful surroundings.
Having to pay for wi-fi was rather greedy in a hotel of this standard. The first time I have been charged for this in 2-3years anywhere.
Gorgeous hotel. Felt very luxurious. Most of the staff were helpful. Excellent location and a beautiful slice out of the colonial past - the unfettered celebration of which also raises a few questions for me.
That we were told that wifi was free for my booking but it was charged. The way that was handled left the slight unsavouriness on our departure. Also a luggage transporting trolley was left on the corridor we were on which was a blemish to the loveliness of the hotel.
We liked the overall look of the hotel. The Spa is the best feature of the hotel.
The staff in the breakfast room need more training. They were very shoddy and not very attentive. The food was average. The suite had no central heating which at the prices they charge is a shame.
Hotel decoration is gorgeous! Excelent breakfast, the swimming pool is beautiful. The rooms are so well equiped and decorated.
The charge for an extra bed is unnecesary, considering the luxury level of the hotel wolud be better experience if were a courtesy as many other hotels at this level. Also is advisable to implement a centralizing tipping system.
Excellent staff! Upon check-in, I was given a briefing tour of the main facilities of this amazing hotel! Decorations were tastefully done, and the spa was also excellent.
Internet connection was limited to one device.
The Rooms are wonderful, very clean, crisp colonial style. The bed, linen and pillows were perfect. Breakfast is reasonably good. Location right by CP is a great place to head off to sightseeing.
Inhouse restaurants are good but exorbitant. Partly due to the many taxes but still phenomenal considering the price of things in India.
Everthing! Loved the Museum pieces and Art work. The spa is divine! Also enjoyed Indian Music - both highlights of our 3 week trip. Beautifully Managed hotel!
Staff very friendly. Secure and organised
Two wedding celebrations in less than 5 days stopped us enjoying the gardens and couldnt dine outside
beautifully maintained, lovely public areas, great breakfast
Fantastic pool and spa; very good breakfast buffet which could be had outside on the verandah looking at the garden; very friendly staff; beautiful hotel all round with fragrant corridors and colonial style - loved my stay.
At that price the wifi should be included free.
Service from staff was excellent and very personal. Very well organised for late night arrival.
Check out was too slow and disorganised.
Location is the best. The health spa was excellent, good well trained staff. The large outdoor pool is a treat. Great choices for breakfast. Overall staff pleasant and added to the comfort of the hotel. An amazing calm oasis in the centre of a frantic city.
Intensely disliked the fact that WiFi is not free. A couple of bedroom staff were obsequious in the extreme and need to be taught how to tone this down, they really irritated me.
Amazing breakfast/brunch Great gym Excellent location
Pricey, relative to other hotels in the area Wifi is not free and slow
I liked this old colonial building
Rupees 19500 was taken away from my card ( it was not pre -authorisation amount ) and still after 1 month it has not been refunded back .Imperial hotel want me to chase up my bank for this refund. Typical old Indian government office staff behavior
