Beautiful, clean, great staff, very good location, and a very nice swimming pool
Exceptional service - the staff knows how to please and thinks ahead.
Smoking is prohibited on the whole property (including pool and garden) except for a small (smoky) smoking room.
The position, the place and the staff.
Ambience, staff, rooms, service
Beautiful old building from the 1930's, good restaurants, very nice garden. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Staff is very helpful and the atmosphere is amazing. Sit back and relax, they will do everything for you there.
Hotel got lots of new cars for car service ( Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Superb, up to Mercedes and Jaguar), but much to expensive, just contact a local car service with a Toyota Innova, that's a third of it.
Breakfast was fabulous. Rooms very comfortable. Beautiful pool. Great restaurants
One of most beautiful pools in the world. Excellent restaurants
Workout area/gym is very small and inadequate equipment is crammed in to small space -- yoga room rarely used in comparison has abundant space.
The ambiance and the cleanliness of the hotel
The cost of the room
The staff , and the decor .
Position, Ambience, sense of history
Food at top restaurant very disappointing
Everything was spectacular, the room was clean, the beds super comfortable, the decor in the foyers, rooms, restaurant and in general was beautiful. As a swimmer, I loved the luxury of a large hotel pool. We ate at all restaurants, visited the bookstore, wandered in the gardens. Peaceful and relaxing.
A five star hotel should have free and unlimited wifi these days :(
Extensive renovation and upgrade since my earlier stays at this hotel.
Food, overall setup of the hotel.
On arrival, they gave us a room with no windows (!). At the time we where very tired and we compromised. Next day we complained, because our booking was clearly stating that it concerned a room with a view. Then they gave us a room with a view, but overall this was improper on their side. The temperature at the cafe-restaurant was close to freezing...
the rooms and the breakfast the location and their amazing spa treatments
Staff were great, really looked after you. I was there 2 in a few days and they remembered me - even remembered my drink at the bar! Pool was amazing! Restaurants are really good, lots of choice in evening - Spice Route is very good!
Some of the clientele gives the hotel a stuffy feel which is a shame. Stayed in a lot of 5* places but not had guests make a place feel like that before??
All the facilities were top rate. Lovely place. Good for a swim in the heat.
Overpriced airport transfer 3500 rupees plus tax!! Take a taxi, which I did on the way back, it cost 600...
Location, the building,
High tea in the restaurant ,poor quality sandwiches, indifferent staff in the restaurant with stained uniforms, white ,unfriendly light in the room.
Rated for many years as one of the worlds truly great hotels -- and in our short 3 days lived up to it admirably - nothing to fault and To a Western Traveler represents exceptional value ( less than 1/2 raffles in Singapore -- and every bit as good ( better I think ! ) highlight here over some other great Hotels is the trestaurants and the food in general - best hotel breakfast I have ever encountered - both variety & quality .
The fine fine restaurants are a bit on the expensive side-- and the service sometimes just too " over the top" . They do need to learn the quite subtle art of when to " back off" and just let the customer enjoy - but for my part no real problems there ( that tends to be a problem with good Asian service everywhere ! ) - overall -- if you have the chance the Imperial in Delhi is an experience not to be missed ! !
Good location and choice of restaurants. Very clean and staff were very polite and helpful.
All drinks are expensive and wifi is payable.
great and perfect stay, I needed internet for a skype videconference and high speed worked very well in the hotel room
aircon noises all over the hotel, in and outside the building
The front office staffs and Duty managers were not fair at all! very unfriendly!
I have stayed here a few times and it just gets better
No free WiFi
Rich, elegant, colonial feel. A beautiful hotel, full of arts and artefacts from the last 100 years. Stunning pool area, an oasis of cool and sophistication in the centre of crazy New Delhi! Fabulous.
Everything was perfect. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. The hotel employees makes you feel at home. The breakfast is awesome and you can taste Idian food flavor. The pool is amazing and they give you sunscreen. Spa is a must go also but you can enjoy the steam and jacuzzi without booking a massage.
Arrange your own tour guide for Agra....the one the concierge booked to us almost ruined our trip to Taj Mahal.
