The pool, the treatments, and some of the staff
The location (far from city centre) and the fact that the taxi's they booked were more then double. Book your own taxi or tuc tuc and they can wait at the gate. The treatments were good and meals fine just too expensive compared to their competitors. We would not recommend for these reasons.
1)tat staff rasheed..for online booking there was no 15.5% tax also it was showing clearly on booking.com still he made me to pay...... 2) no tv for 2499rs room.... 3)to much costly for veg food...
Nice food and environment
Standard rooms are small and dark and were not clean. Upgraded room in main building was noisy at night and in the morning. This centre needs some rethinking if it wants to be successful.
The centre is some way out of Mysore set in beautiful gardens so its very quiet and peaceful. The flip side is that you need taxis or your own transport to get to town Taxis or rickshaws were very easy to organize. Had a couple of treatments which were heavenly and very reasonably priced. I was upgraded from a basic to a deluxe room for free. I understand the basic rooms are basic and a bit noisy because tbey are near staff areas but many people I met were staying in them because they were attending yoga courses and wanted to be able to relax in quiet place . Has a good pool but wasn't able to use it as pump had broken. Food available is daily buffet which was lovely but not spicy at all because aimed at people staying who were having ayuvedic treatments. Overall was lovely quiet place to stay if wanting a break from hecticness of india or if wanting some relaxing massages or treatments .
Nothing Well would have been perfect if pool had worked
Quite, peaceful and good value.
As therapists ourselves we would have liked more experienced Ayurvedic Drs.at assessment.
secluded, beautiful location - relatively healthy meals on-site - access to ayurvedic treatments, yoga and swimming pool...meditative atmosphere. They upgraded our room after problems with the first one. It was better, but still not great. The ayurvedic massage itself was a nice experience.
room was overpriced and not well maintained - we paid the equivalent of a 5 star experience and were disappointed by the following: Poor sound proofing (we could hear every word at the front desk from our room). Upon arrival, our room only had one towel and one bathrobe (for two people), filthy floors, and a leaking pipe in the bathroom that they were unable to fix immediately. treatment was also questionable as the oil they poured on my forehead was too hot and mildy burned me. My technicians were not very skilled yet (apparently this is an institute, so they were still learning) and the oil kept dripping in my eyes and ears - I had irritated eyes and blurry vision for hours afterwards.
It’s a kind of spiritual center and not a holiday resort.
Rooms were very Congested its not possible to move around in the room. It was so congested. I vacated the room in one day and booked other hotel. Food is very expensive...
I liked everything about the centre. The food was absolutely amazing, buffet style and very healthy, so you could eat as much as you wanted. The massages were such a treat. I will certainly return to this centre.
Great place to enjoy a relaxed stay in Mysore. It is far away from the city center, 15 min by autorickshaw and not possible to walk around, it is isolated in the middles of forest and palm trees. But a quiet place is rewarding after the busy life in town. Treatments offered are excellent (Whole body massage it is amazing). The Deluxe Room is just perfect, big room, extremely clean and staff are friendly.
The property is well designed with courteous, friendly staff. The atmosphere is serene and relaxing
Although this is an Ayurvedic centre, many guests are refused spa services quoting busy schedule. I do not understand how can staying guests be denied therapy... I mean there were plenty of therapy rooms, but still many fellow travelers had to haggle to avail ayurvedic therapy. The other dissatisfaction is with the ability of the staff in giving driving directions to the place - the place is really remote and not picked up by Google maps, so it would be better if there was a proper map / driving directions.
