The price was ok for the size and general comfort of the room, even though cold and unheated. Restaurant food was good and choices were great. Bed was hard and difficult to sleep in. Room was cold and could not be heated; when the fireplace was lit the smoke from it accumulated in our room and we had to leave the room for several hours while the air was refreshed. No hot water when there was supposed to be, and no advanced notice on their website that hot water was rationed. Wireless was not usable in the room, only in public places, and signal strength was poor.

Every thing is nice, the renovated and well maintained mansion make you feel at Home. Relaxed atmosphere, nice garden and lawns. Earl's secret is the best restaurant in Ooty with interesting menu. Rooms are cold in spite of working fire place. Hotel is an renovated mansion, the ceilings are old fashioned so do not insulate clod.

Wir waren mit dem Service in diesem Hotel nicht zufrieden. Während unseren Auftenthaltes fand dort ein Fest statt - es war relativ laut und am nächsten Tag hat es noch furchtbar ausgehsen und wir bekammen unser Frühstück nur nach mehrmaliger Aufforderung.

Bedroom fire, hot water bottles, real personal service. Historic/ heritage atmosphere. Lovely building and garden. Tea/ coffee in room. Very friendly staff. Breakfast good and fireside dinner. Communication with booking.com about added local tax poor and incorrect. Our e mail confirmation said 10% but hotel wanted to add 20%+ so check e mail before paying.

Great location. Outstanding garden and architecture. Peaceful place. Loved the fireplace. You could smell the years of the house - as expected. But you get rewarded with colonial comfort and class.
