Location was good, and the street it's on had many nice restaurants. Also the hotel does a one way airport transfer so that was awesome.
Look, I'm pretty good when it come to putting up hit hostels. And I'm not a clean person either, but this was just outrageous. I found cigarette buts still on the bathroom floor, the floor, sinks and toilet were covered in gunk, the sink out side was covered in a thick gunk, floor in room needed seeping very badly, the glass and water pot was filthy, and the sheets looked washed but were covered in stains and had a wet smell. It's pretty bad haha
Nearer to airport Free return transfer to chennai airport (but staff seek rs.100 sometimes) Bed OK
arrived at hotel at 10:30 pm. No water at hotel, dint wash even feet and waited till 5 am. Nearby and outside hotel its very dirty. Ventilators are wide open, difficult to change clothes. Bath room horrible. buckets and mug are worst. in single word it is "HELL". Staff can speak only tamil.
Service was really bad...food facility was very bad...
location is good and near all facilities areavailable
bath and toilet cleanliness and there is no mirror at washbasin
Was close to airport
Was in a neighborhood that is not good for tourists or new visitors to India
Room is very clean
tv is not working and no response from hotel.also room service is very poor
I liked nothing. It was a dive.
I needed a hotel close to the airport and booked based on Marsan's ad for 600 rupees. When I arrived, the manager raised the price to 800 because I didn't have a copy of the booking form, though I showed him the form on my disconnected laptop. It took three hours and repeated requests to get a towel and a covering sheet. The manager was crude, contemptuous and indifferent. In the morning, for example, he woke me at 6:00 by yelling at his cleaning staff in the corridor right outside my room. The Marsan is actually a workers' hostel, and its atmosphere reflects that. My room was filthy, as were the sheets and pillow cases, and the room and bathroom (and the rest of the hotel) was cleaned only with a mop swipe. The Marsan is a dirty and unpleasant hotel, the worst by far that I've seen in my six months in India. It should be picked up, turned over, shaken free of its dirt and its current staff and then scrubbed (with soap, please), painted and staffed with people who want to run a hotel. The Marsan was so bad it was laughable--a pilot for a failed situation comedy. Wretched!
Location near the airport
Dirty - No shower - Staff do not speak english and unpleasant
Good for a layover / early morning connection. We didnt ecpect the rooms to be do good condidering the price we paid. We stayed in the deluxe rooms. The boy who manages the place at night was very helpful snd nice to speak to. Good food options around. Very close to the airport!
Too loud since each room has wall to wall vents facing the hallway. If you have travellers who can't keep their voices low and run around, then it might b a problem! Just one con!
only location coz near airport
nothing to say anything
Price was nice; no complaints about the room in general, and location was convenient.
Reception and staff were minimal, to put it politely. My room had unscreened windows open to main hall, which was open to the street, so mosquito access was continuous. This also made for a very loud room, as noises and conversations in other rooms sounded like they were immediately outside my door.
Its close to the airport
I had to wait and wait and wait for the cab pick up even though I have make so many phone calls to the hotel. The reception person told that cab was sent to the airport. I was waiting more than half an hour for the cab. Finally after dozens of phone call to the hotel the cab came to pick me up. The Room size what mentioned on the web was not true. The amount I paid and the room what they offered me was not correct. I was little disappointed to hear that all the rooms are same size. But they charge 200 ruppes extra to give you airport pick up and drop telling its free of cost :(
Its close by the airport. May be 1.5 or 2 kilometers from the airport.
Hotel people didnt send the confirmation from their side and I had to call few times to make sure the hotel booking was confirmed or not. By the time I arrived at the hotel (it was 12 am) no one was at the reception and I had to wait for some time after keeping on pressing the calling bell. The towel provided by the hotel was not at all cleaned one and it was really dirty one so its better to Its better to have your own towel and other things for shower.
I have booked hotel through bioking.com per day rate 600. I have stand one more day. He have charges 700. But this day on booking.com site rate was 700 rs. It's not good. Bez. I was this site customr.
Very bad experience. Staff was not cooperative no soap, towel provided, no hot water.
We took two rooms on 25th Dec. 2013 which were far apart from each other and there were two/three rooms in between. One of the rooms had no device/latch to lock from inside. Drunk chaps were howling on the corridor whole night and my protest with the attendant boy was of no use as the drunk chaps managed to bully him. As I was with my family I had no alternative but to digest the matter. A worthless place to stay with family.
a lot of mosquitoes the sheets was dirty
- room was clean. - staffs were cooperating.
- lack of privacy and security due to the room's ceiling structure - staffs had language problems. - extreme disturbance of mosquitoes
This very cheaply and clean houtel. Too safety.
Clean and cheap. Still not recommandable though.
Stuff is not unfriendly but just rude and even raised the voice on guests!! Not in english though since not spoken or understood. Rooms have open gates below the ceiling so any action on the floor is heard. No closable windows and moscito protection.
Taxi service included in price. Located nearby airport.
Stuff does not speak english. You can't close window because there is no windows closing at all. All rooms are joined with corridor with a hole in the wall which makes room very noisy and uncomfortable. A lots of mosquitos. Taxi was late for 15 minutes. No place to eat or even buy some food nearby.
Only stayed here as it we arrived in Chennai via the airport and were leaving the next day if taking a rickshaw from the airport- demand to go via the meter only 13 rupees away! room was okay and large, TV didnt have many english channels though
The hotel is mainly for Indian tourists- I wouldnt recommend it unless you were only staying for the evening as the staff we very hard to communicate with Not much around in the way of food (no restaurants had english menus)
Windows did not close on one side. On the corridor side there was no mesh over the bars above the door nor glass. This let in the noise from the other guests leading to arguements but more importantly it let in the mosquitoes of which there were plenty - no mosq. net.
i liked it. but as most reviews here say just a basic/simple lodge
walls have ventilator on top, it allows lot of sound and noise inside the room. hand shower was broken but later fixed after complaining
cheap price for the big room offered. market outside for some local foods, but its always littered noisy crowded and dirty
staffs are limited here, they take so much time to attend you when called. wifi should be covered in the rooms.
