The room has traditional furniture. It is distant from the road and quiet. The room is not so clean. There is no restaurant in the surroundings.

This hotel is excellent. We stayed for 3 nights in a room overlooking the swimming pool. The hotel has loads of character that is in places a little run down but this just adds to make the experience more interesting. We had a huge bedroom with seating area. Staff went out of their way to help you and the food was very good. Added to this there a peacocks roaming around which adds to the unique experience of staying at this hotel. A little way out of town but not a problem as there are plenty of transport options. Whilst the peacocks were lovely the noise they made at 5am was not!

Colonial décor. Dinner in hotel was best Indian we have tasted. Sipping drinks on the 'patio' in front of the hotel with peacocks strutting past. Price of a bottle of local beer!

The magic 'colonial' atmosphere; the historical contest; the breakfast room (an ancient winter garden) The breakfast can be more rich...

A classic, heritage, palace hotel, with a charming air of faded grandeur! Could have been the set for 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel'! A bit out of the way.

There was one gentleman at the reception who was decent. Used to be a lovely place way, way back then, now falling litteraly apart. Dirty, smelly and depressing. Got such a belly bug powerfull enough to ruin the rest of our trip...Stay away!

Lovely swimming pool and interesting to see what a "palace" was. OK if you like faded grandeur. In future I will stick to modern hotels for a short overnight stay. From the photographs on the website, I did not expect quite such an old and seen-better-days hotel. May suit some.

I highly recommend staying in Naila Bagh Palce. It`s the only oportunity of touching history. This paalce was home of Prime Minister of Jaipur in XIXth century. The family takes care of guests and makes the best to feel comfortable. We were feeling like in a real palace. Room was very comforatble, very clean. Jusrt fabulous! There is also a beautiful pool around which walk peacocks. Breakfast served as a buffet gives a wide range of dishes. We loved the place and the stuff. They were friendly and helpful.

The rooms within the main building are lovely. The pool is also great. Initially we were put in a room down the back behind the pool. This was not the room we had request as we had paid for the top price room when making a booking. After a discussion we were moved. These rooms were of poor quality and it was a little disappointing that we were put in here in the first place. I would even recommend that the rooms not be booked out until they are improved.

The hotel is set in the former residence of the prime minister of Rajasthan. Beautiful grounds, well maintained historic building, nice swimming pool, free WiFi. Nice dog and peacocks living in the garden. Some of the staff spoke poor English and we had to ask again a couple of times to get our beers. The hotel is next door to a school, the kids can be very noisy in the morning if you want to sleep on, but the children are very polite and always wave as they pass, this wasn't a problem for us but may disturb some people.

This is a great authentic heritage old palace hotel close to the gates of old town Jaipur, the Pink City and walking distance to the City and Wind Palaces. Over all, a very cool experience! I had them arrange my travel plans to get a car to Agra, - I was hoping to make sunset in Agra, so we coordinated leaving at noon for the 4/5 hour trip, to leave plenty of time to see sunset over the Taj Mahal - We arrived at 7:00 pm (the same time the train that left at 3 pm arrived and was 4000 Rs cheaper after having to pay the hotel a 1000 Rs surcharge to "coordinate" the trip - they failed terrible on this effort. - I called them, to discuss, but they seemed to not care of forgot English at that point - it is too bad, because the staff and place and experiance was amazing, right up to this point

ROOMS: clean, tidy and organized with basic amenities. lamps/fan/plugs for recharging. tea/coffee facilities. clean linen/bed sheets & towels with big cupboard space. FOOD: breakfast; basic buffet selection of 4 choices. it was ok but prefer a wider selection. eggs can be ordered prepare to wait. STAFF: manager was friendly and gave advice on sight seeing. even tho i checked in at midnight, reception staff were alert and accommodating. SERVICE: service was minimal, i did not stay long enough to experience. LOCATION: very close to laxminarayan temple, and about 10 mins to pink city and a further 20 mins to AMBER FORT. from the train station to the hotel about 15mins (late night/no traffic) i would recommend staying here if you want peace & quiet away from the hustle & bustle of old town main areas. but expect basic old school charm. it is not a glamourous well maintained palace ROOMS: paint chipped walls, stained bath tub, air conditioning unit above the bed dripped water onto my pillows/mattress/head while i slept (remote had no batteries to turn off) when i moved to the other side of the bed i realized it had also dripped there and formed a rather large wet patch. the curtains to my bedroom (royal suite facing pool/public areas) was not wide enough to cover all window/door therefore people could slightly see in. STAFF/SERVICE: restaurant staff need to be more attentive to guests i.e replenishing beverages when nessecary and more alert to guest requests. LOCATION: prepare for a 30min drive to amber fort. OVERALL: room price is too high for what you get, yes it has character because you are staying in an old palace but no up-keep. it needs a face-lift and the gardens around the pool need to be maintained. garden chairs were dirty/stained. everytime i left my room i had to padlock my door and carry around a key that had a bell attached lol. childrens school right next door, you can hear the bell ringing and the kids playing (not so annoying, just woke me up!)
