The tents were clean, spacious, characterful and comfortable, but not luxurious. During the day the camp was a lovely, peaceful place to relax. Excellent vegetarian food.
This is a 'dry' hotel. We did know this in advance, but as we were there on Christmas day, a glass of wine would have been nice! There is one major negative - the noise at night. There was a lot of noise from neighbouring camps, the nearby road and even cows, which were tethered just next to the tents. The management know this is a problem because they even provide you with earplugs. Not good if you are a light sleeper. The hotel only takes American Express, not visa or Mastercard.
We enjoyed our stay in Orchard, although something could be improved. Tents are nice and well decorated, flower perfum in your room, rose welcome drink on arrival.
Food (both breakfast and dinner) wasn't so good. Price is fixed for the buffet dinner - 500 RS per person, tax and beverage excluded - however choice and quality is quite poor. Although we properly advised the staff on our early check-out and need to pay by credit card, they were not ready and let us wait more than 20 min in freezing outside reception.
Loved the friendly and very helpful staff. The warming of the beds and setting up of the tent for bed was so nurturing. Restful environment. Although out of town it didn't matter as driver was available to drive you where you needed to go. Food was good and plentiful. Again I must mention the wonderfully friendly and helpful staff.
Very simple: everything was perfect! The tent was gorgeous, the bed really comfortable, it was nice and warm and the bathroom was lovely. Staff was incredibly nice and food very good. I highly recommend this place. My only regret was that we couldn't spend more time there.
Friendly and helpful management and staff
Cold at night but then it was the season and at night is freezing cold for sort of "camping"...
Great attention to detail & beautiful gardens
Noise from wedding season festivities late into the night
The atnmosphere the staff was excellent and very attentive great food at the restaurant although vegiterian a suprising oasis in the middle of a very poor area
bathroom can improve a little bit although it is very comfortable
The space and being removed from the hustle and chaos of Pushkar
Needs a pool
Luxurious tent accommodation with all the comforts of 5 star hotel. Free wifi, great meals and staff.
We loved the resort from the first minute of arrival. It was like arriving home. The Hotel Manager received us immediately after we got out from our car. We were seated in the lounge at the reception to do the check-in very comfortably. We were given a very nice welcome drink, a traditional Pushkar Rose drink which was delicious and just what we needed. Then we were taken to our lovely tent! we absolutely loved it. Very nice, clean, good facilities, heated blanket in case of cold, a/c in case of heat, torch in case of electricity cut, earplugs as sometimes some religious ceremonies are heard and go on late night. Good amenities, wonderful bathrobe, free and very good wifi and the BEST Strawberry Milkshake ever. We did a camel tour starting from the hotel and its so recommendable. It was perfect organization and very very nice.
The marmalade at the breakfast. We had the same brand at other hotels and its horrible.
Staff, beautiful location, great food and activities.
The tents could have been fitted with 2 air conditioners rather than just 1, as it gets slightly warm during the day.
everything from the manager to each and every staff member , they were literally on toes for us. wonderful place even without swimming pool , spa and in room tv .
its difficultly located.
Harpel was the most welcoming host. We were greeted with a delightful rose welcome drink. The ethos and approach of the Orchard is very caring and progressive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would come back again.
The noise from Pushkar town during the evening and into the night was a little much however much better to be at the Orchard slightly removed than in the town itself.
-The floor area of the cottage-its big. -The out door spaces. -The hospitality. -The food. -Its amazingly peaceful.
The pricing I think is a bit steep. The structure or the place does not justify the pricing.
We loved the place. It is a good break from the turmoil of India's big towns. Staff was extremely gentle and helpful. Food was very good at the restaurant and also the BBQ in the garden was nice.
Excellent service and wonderful stall. Very friendly and helpful. I was sick at the time and it was beautiful, quiet and nurturing ..
Sleeping on the wires and cords from the electric mattress pad.
Hospitality was very inviting Peacocks and marigold field lovely Food very good. All the thoughtful touches in the room, quilted bathrobes, scented candle, flashlight etc.
Polite, kind and attentive staff, we would have loved to stay longer.
It's paradise... Calm, peace, blissful. I love going to the Orchard. Have been going there from 2-3 Years. Love it more each time. The service is impeccable. Very courteous staff..
Nothing at all
Excellent place, I wish India has many such concept hotels (luxury tents) in various hill stations in India. Mr Singh and his entire team highly professional, very refreshing experience from other places in Rajasthan, where most of the hotel staff is focused on serving foreign customers, I wonder why? Indian customers pay the same amount for food and stay and they may amount to 70 % +total visitors, so hope they learn something from places like Orchard. I would love to go there again. My entire family enjoyed the place, food and hospitality. I have stayed in various tent places in past, however nothing compares to orchard, extremely luxurious and most beautiful surrounding. We liked the concept of no TV and phone in the room, and we realised all the time we were doing some outdoor activity, and most importantly as a Family! Which means a lot in today’s busy life where we hardly have time. I would strongly recommend this place to any one visiting Pushkar/ Ajmer. Food bill for my 7 year old nephew was waived off, it was something we didn’t expect, but that’s what we call true Indian hospitality. Thank you Mr. Singh and your entire team for making our experience most memorable.
The tents were great,it was chilly at night but we had electric blankets!!! The staff could not have been more helpful, the meals were very good and we were well looked after. Everyone was friendly and cheerful, lovely areas ongrass to sit and read with peacocks and other birds around us. There was a car with driver/guide any time we wished to go into Pushkar which was greatly appreciated.
Cannot think of anything.
The tents are very charming and confortable. The place is beautiful.
Loved staying here, amazing setting and the tents were beautiful. Staff were very attentive, only wish we could have stayed longer!
