clean and enough hot water for shower
a little bit far from train station, the surrounding not so good.
good location good balcony good price
no security box no drinking water
Liked the restaurant and the decoration in the hotel.
I noticed that they don't have elevators, so their availability for handicapped people might be an issue. The entrance to the facilities is through an alley that at first seems to be taking you to a dumpster. eerie at night.
clean, big room suits our budget and it's good the hotel is not infront of the very noisy main road.
the foods and service in their restaurant is not very good. we only try once. beware the pickup autorickshaw from the hotel because he will push you to take him tour so it's very irritating, we ignore him so we had choice and met good one father-son autorickshaw driver.
Comfortable and clean with friendly staff.
WifI connection wasn't great and access to hotel is difficult
The room was really clean and nicely decorated
The free wifi didn't work in the rooms.
The people were warm and friendly. They clearly wanted to help as best as they could. The food at the Maya (not the same location) was very good and well prepared. The electricity went out a few times over 24 hours, but the hotel had a generator that kicked in a couple of minuted later.
The pictures from the website leave an impression that this is one hotel. It is actually two. The first, the Maya, is on a very loud and crowded street. The second, Ray of Maya, is on a back alley that is a dirt alley that had a 10 foot drop on each side, with wild dogs inhabiting the bottom. If you are not steady on your feet, this is not a place to stay, and could be dangerous. This is also not handicapped accessible. The driver they provided for us from the airport constantly spat out of the tuk tuk. This location is close to the entry to the Taj Mahal that is used by Indians. Foreigners use a gate at the opposite side, so we needed to arrange transport over there. That side has the western hotels.
Very clean, well appointed room with lots of hot water for showering. Quiet location offset from the main road.
entertaining walk to the front of the hotel, along an unlit, unfinished path. You cannot see the hotel from the road, but that does mean its nice and quiet
Very good room with a heater and clean sheets! Lovely bathroom and shower with plenty of hot water. Staff were helpful and the location is good.
They had a problem with the wifi but this is not the norm.
Inside the hotel, everything is perfect
Access is poor
Stuff exchanged my USD to INR at rate 1 USD=58 INR. However in central Delhi 1 USD at least 60 INR. So be Careful.
Cleanliness and room, its lot more than expected...!
Walking distance from Taj Mahal Wi-Fi works well Rooms clean and relatively new Marankh on the front desk tries hard to please
The extra bed in one room wasn't made up It's hard to find, set back from the road down a gravel path Breakfast not included We were cold at night - the room heater in one room didn't work, and the night staff were not able to fix it, or provide a replacement A taxi pick-up was supposed to be included in the price but we couldn't get it as we arrived late at night - when I asked to fairly exchange this for a taxi drop off when the left, the manager said no - which I thought was mean.
Good pick up service.
This hotel is a calm from the busy, stressful streets of Agra. Walking distance to the Taj Mahal. Clean, quiet and my room had a great window seat, where I could sit and watch the chipmunks on tree outside :) Breakfast wasn't included but very cheap in their restaurant over the road. We also ate dinner there twice and was very happy. Staff are very helpful, polite and prioritise your comfort, offering us tea in reception and let us use a room to relax before our late train.
The hassle you get from the tuk tuk driver when you first arrive is unacceptable. The hotel should not allow this to happen. I understand it is a very common thing in India but once in your hotel you should be free of this hassle. Go with your instincts, we didn't and ended up doing part of a tour (until I insisted on going back to hotel) and almost had to argue that I didn't wanna see textiles being made, where we'd be pressured into buying some.
Lovely hotel with very nice staff, there's a really tasty restaurant just across the road in the other branch of the hotel. Nice big room with comfy bed and good bathroom facilities.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
The entrance to the hotel set a bad tone for our arrival. The staff was rather curt and the young men who took us to our room waited around far too long for a better tip. It was not an inviting feeling.
Clean, good location, very kind staff.
Hotel was very comfortable and nice with kind staffs. But the restaurant managed by the hotel has some annoying servers asking tips tips tips. Also, do not take a deal suggested by a rickshaw driver who comes for your free pick-up from the hotel.
Free pick up.
The hotel was very close to the Taj, which was our main purpose for staying there. Staff were very friendly, and the place was clean.
I thought the bed was really uncomfortable, and the pillows were odd too.
The hotel staff were great, very accomodating and helpful.
Ali ,a tuktuk driver who picked us up from the station, what a scammer, kept lying to me about places and taking us to places who scam people. (Marble shop who sends you the product to your home... They show you a list of emails of satisfied costomers..... Haha what a load of ..... ) Agra is a bit of a sespool, go see the Taj Mahaal, dont buy anything in that town and do not trust anyone especially tuk tuk drivers. They get commision to take you to certain places. Enjoy India, stay sharp.
Proximity to Taj Cleanliness Super shower! Quiet, sleep no problem Would recommend this hotel
Lack of restaurant
Big bed, good mattress, excellent private bathroom. Very clean and stylish. Close to Taj Mahal. Nice helpfull staff.
Paying by Visa Card was not possible
quiet beautiful room including bathroom
doesn't accept credit cards very well hidden location without signage
