good staff service
it was our Silver Wedding Anniversary which i let the hotel know when we booked (only a couple of days earlier) and they upgraded us to a more deluxe room like an apartment, it was fabulous and at no extra cost. Our bed that night was decorated with some marigolds and an elephant made with towels. Lovely touch.
We had one meal in the main restaurant, which lacked atmosphere. There was a big tour group there eating a buffet. Some awful noisy music was playing (Western type & definitely not dining music. i asked staff to change it and they did thank goodness. Some of the staff seemed to be inattentive.
Well appointed room, good room service and very clean. The hotel is ideally situated which means you avoid the constant hustle and bustle of Varanasi, but is close enough to the city for day trips.
The Ocean restaurant wasn't great, on the day we attended they were running a Mongolian BBQ type dinner where we were given food to cook ourselves over a small hot coals - either a vegetarian or meat option. The coals didn't stay hot long enough for us to cook all our food and not all the food on the menu we paid for was provided to us- not great at all. There is a popular wedding venue situated right next to the hotel, during wedding season things get VERY noisy, they were still partying hard until 04:00, check when wedding season is to avoid sleepless nights!!!
The rooms were large and we were upgraded to an executive room Staff were polite
Their restaurant was not really good.
no smoking area inside the premises
The staff were helpful, especially chasing up our lost cases. The restaurant staff were polite and pleasant. Rooms were well furnished and food was good
The pool area was not clean, loungers were in disrepair and building work was going on.
We booked a suite and the room was HUGE. Very comfortable bed. The whole hotel was also very clean. I would definitely recommend if staying in Varanasi.
It is a drive (30 minutes in good traffic) to the ghats/Ganges.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Comfortable bedrooms.
They've let a few things slip, small attention to detail things, like cleaning light switches, slow service for food and such
Was a really good hotel, big room, great breakfast.
It was a bit expensive!
The room was very spacious and the main restaurant was very good, both regarding food and service. Very nice place. Though located far from the main attractions, it was a very good area, calmer for sure.
They insisted that we paid as soon as possible as soon as we arrived, without even waiting for us to get to our rooms. Facilities were under construction, so we couldn't use the pool, for example. Travel desk never gave us a ticket.
I had a horrifying experience in a hotel close to the Ganges and it was such a relief to switch to Rivatas. It is definitely worth spending the money on a decent hotel in Varanasi. In terms of location, it is quiet compared to old Varanasi which is noisy until late at night. Most of the nice hotels are in the same area, so if you are looking for a decent hotel, the location factor is pretty irrelevant. The hotel can organise a trustworthy driver and guide.
Like many hotels in India, you have to pay for internet access and you can only use one device at a time.
Good building and we got upgraded free to a suite.
The service is 3 star. For example, they stop the hot water so you have to call them to get someone to put it on.
Room size and reasonably helpful staff
Construction work from early morning and woken up at 5am by reception due to poor communication between travel desk and driver; general smell of damp (especially in towels and slippers). Pizza etc were far too oily. Paid half the amount of money for far better stay at Trident in Jaipur. For £100 a night, you expect far more in Varanasi. I know because I have lived there!
Clean and comfortable. Courteous staff, helpful. The hotel has all facilities that the average traveller might need to enjoy a stay while travelling for leisure. The taste of the food served may not be of superlative quality but the choice at breakfast was good and the quality was also good.
The parking space available was on the street which made me feel insecure.
Lovely staff and restaurant. Very helpful. Room was excellent. We ate in the restaurant and had delicious food. Great atmosphere at this hotel. They really try to make your stay a good one. Good ambience.
Just a little bit mean with provision of amenities. For example, no teaspoons in room. Shampoo etc not refilled every day. Swimming pool was a bit green so we thought it unsafe to swim. A big drawback for us as it was very hot.
Very good service, spacious rooms, quiet, excellent quality in this price range
The hotel is swanky although some may find it a bit garish. The room was well appointed and since we had a suite, very roomy and luxurious.
We stayed 2 nights at the Radisson and 2 nights at Rivatas. Radisson was definitely better value for money, the room rates being similar. At Rivatas, the breakfast spread was very disappointing. For lunch and dinner, we found the two hotel restaurants very expensive and the food quality was also quite average. The staff was friendly enough, but did not go out of the way to make the guests feel at home.
great ans spacious room
old and not clean pool
Room are very good and long.
Room and bead cover, Tabel and toilet kids need to be clean and all the equipment sud be in the bath room not when guest asked and you can provide,
Rooms were Good and comfortable
staff the location design food in the restaurant.....
the sanitary fixtures in bathrooms needs to be tweaked......
Reasonable rate (7/10) Reasonable quality service (6.5/10) Quality Food (7/10)
Staff unprofessional (5/10) Beds not comfortable (4.5/10) Not much choices for food (5/10)
Clean, good breakfast, good bed
Too expensive, internet not included in the price, far from the ganges
Room concept and layout
Long wait for food from room service or restaurant use.
Staff was friendly. Nice rooms. Cleaning.
Traveldesk called our room after checkin and wanted to sell things. Not ok!! Then he hung up when we didnt want anyting. Very inpolite and not worthy a four star hotel. The pool was dirty because of a renovation. The hotel should inform that the pool was unavailable.
