The staff was very friendly and were telling nice stories. 1. Threat to life. There was no electricity and no heating. The only was was a small gas heater. After two days I convinced the staff to turn it on and leave it for the night. In an hour it was not working. I couldn't find any of the staff. It could have been a gas leak, but there was none in the houseboat to even ask for. I had to put two candles in front of the heater in case it was a gas leak and I had to leave the door and window open for the night. The next day it appeared that they were out of gas, but I could only find it out in the morning. 2. SAVING ON EVERYTHING. The hotel tried to save everything. They had the generator but they did not turn it on except for 1 hour a day, so the rest of the day there was no electricity. They had the gas heater but they would not turn it on to save gas. They had a fireplace, but they were saving the wood so it was off during the night. 3. HUGELY OVERPRICED. The accommodation price itself seems ok from the web site, but actually most houseboats there have lower price. In addition when I arrived the houseboat manager was lying that the price I have from booking.com is much lower than their current rate (which was not true). The manager also offered me a tour with a boat, in the mountains and within the city. If I had done it separately through city agencies maximum cost would be probably 3500 INR, the manager kept asking 9600 INR, finally he agreed on 8'000. 4. MINUS 5 STARS. The web site says 5 stars, but if the houseboat doesn't have basic utilities (like electricity and heating), its dirty, they don't accept any cards, they don't have internet, no front desk, nothing, it looks more like minus 5 stars to me.
